My wife just giggles every time she pushes the accelerator. So does everyone else that drives it. And, she has the SR+ - the slowest one - still amazing. We're a 2 Tesla family and will NEVER go back to ICE cars!
He said he has a 335i, which is no slouch in the ice world. I have a 535i and a 2013 S. The former is nice, but the latter is other-worldly. Once you go electric, everything else is sloth-like
Great video, Brian was like a kid in a candy store! And I see you are well over 3k subscribers in record time which is not surprising considering the content you put out. Looking forward to Brian's wife taking a drive. And hey all you TB fans, I am the NC viewer TB referenced in this video who asked about the heat from the glass roof, woo hoo!
The 'first time ' is fun to watch, ...brings you back to that day for yourself 💯...... and I'm glad I'm single 😆... I'm the only one getting 'on board'
Another satisfied customer - great to see! I feel his pain though... my wife really wanted a BMW X1, until I got her in a Tesla for a test drive. Now she regularly tells me how much she loves out 3 and is so glad we didn't go the X1... 😀
I could feel the acceleration drop when I had passengers in my Model 3 Performance. Was still plenty fast but could notice a drop in acceleration. You guys are not exactly slim boys. I'd suggest not having an extra passenger in the rear when doing these test drives so the skeptics get more of the acceleration punch.
You are exactly how I was back in 2016 with my first Tesla. Always eager to share the experience. Of course, back then EVs and Teslas were still basically a myth. Most people thought they were hybrids or a foreign brand. I gave anyone who was curious the whole Tesla tour and demo ride. I probably could’ve had at least a several dozen people converted and could’ve racked up a good amount of federal awards, but I really just wanted to share with others how amazing Teslas/EVs are versus all the FUD being spread about them. Keep up the good work!
One super important detail...... is electric vehicles can be 2-3x more energy efficient than gas cars. So EVEN if I charge with fossil fuels that power up my neighborhood, I am putting that same amount of fossil fuel to more use!! Also, love that attack on titan shirt!
Tell everyone where you were able to test drive one, I’m curious if it was at a Tesla showroom (they are not considered a dealership) or from a fellow Tesla owner. (Butts in seats).
Gotta be extra careful when parking an M3 sidewise on a curb. Those nice wheel rims protrude out of the tires and are prone to serious scratches. I damaged mine slightly and it made me very sad. Luckily I was able to repair them with color matching touch-up paint, purchased on Amazon.
Amazing that you did another one of this videos! You should spring for the speed upgrade. I have it for my long range and it makes an incredible difference.
Nice video. You might want to get the rim center covers for your rims (them all naked bothers me a bit ;-)). Actually I don't know the English term for them, but they're like $10 each at the Tesla store. They're *not* the aero covers, they cover just the center and the nuts, nothing else.
It’s great seeing a “good ole boy” reaction to the experience. No offense, I’m in GA. I’ve driven a M3 briefly a few years ago and can’t wait to get my Cybertruck reservation holder 123k ish
Okay, I have the same exact car and I am going to tint the roof with blackout film! It does get hot! On the other hand I didn’t know about the voice commands!
Fun to see. Electric vehicles are a lot of fun. I mostly have tried to cut back on driving overall and do PEVs, but it’s all progress getting people to go more electric. I only need to go into work a couple times a week, and I’m fortunate that I can electric unicycle (EUC) or scooter to the train station. The EUC is a blast for trips a backpack is sufficient for, and I’ll choose it if I can manage, ebike for carrying more stuff, or car if I have to. I can see how fun a Tesla would be though.
I wold also like to add, long story short but the day I took delivery of my Model S my son took me to the Tesla center to pick it up, that afternoon after we arrived home (5 hour round trip) we visited the Super charger to test it out ourselves, low and behold that very same day Tesla had delivered a test model Y to the parking lot with a scannable QR code in order to set up an instant test drive.. It was awesome that my son and I got to share that experience together. He took that MY down some back curvy roadways on Auto Pilot (as I rode along) and amazed me how well it handled as I was not yet used to my own MS just getting it the same day. So look around as Tesla may have the remote test drive experience in your neighborhood as well. You can also call Tesla and ask for the locations.
And be sure you dispel the myths and mention the amazing safety. You may have and just didn't show it on camera this time, but keep hitting those points with each person who does the ride and drive.
The best way to get over the charging objections is to dig into how far they drive everyday. At first they will tell you really high numbers, but once you dig into it they realize they don't drive far 90% of the time. Then drop the knowledge that they get to leave home everyday with a full tank so to speak. It's always a big aha moment. Then supercharging becomes a no brainer for road trips and they are open to the discussion.
So there’s just so many advantages Tesla has going forward, as this company is flushed with cash, and so they don't need to raise cash in the capital markets because they've got so much cash on hand, and with their latest stock split that's only going to add to they’re ability to finance future projects, and the other thing is the huge savings in advertising cost, while the Legacy OEMs are spending a huge amount of money telling people of some fantastical futuristic product that’s yet to be produced Tesla don’t need to do that, because the demand for their products has outpaced their ability to keep up and satisfy that demand, which is an enviable position to be in. So by now everyone knows that Ford has the mustang Mach E, and they're going to come out with the Ford bronco, and GM is coming out with the Cadillac Electric SUV, and GM coming out with their Electric version of the Hummer as well as the Chevy Equinox, but none of these cars are that exciting, because Tesla has already shown us their quality is as good is anybody’s in terms of it form and fit issues quieting those people who were pointing out panel gaps and those kind of things. So those issues have largely been solved, and so the competition for all practical purposes are nowhere to be found, because it's one thing to make a prototype vehicle, it's quite another thing to scale to a production level where you can actually make money, and so far only Tesla has done that, and the other guys are still trying to figure it out. Cheer!🥂
My wife was totally against the Tesla. (Until she test drove one). She now drives a Tesla every day. Model 3 SR+. We average $32 a month in electricity after 18 months. We will never own a gas car again.
The Model 3 will be faster and get better range than the equivalent Y. The performance 3 will be faster than the performance Y and get better range too.
I have an early Cybertruck reservation; so I’ve got my fingers crossed that I might take delivery sometime in 2023 😁 If I do, I’ll be selling the Model 3 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
@@TeslaBarbarian Oh man, I love your optimism. I think the chances of you getting a CT in Q1 2023 is pretty low. Some reports saying there are over 1.5 million pre-orders. If that's true, we're all going to be waiting a long time for our CT.
@@TeslaBarbarian I highly recommend it. Purchased it in my 2019 3 LR soon as it became available and didn’t regret. The difference in 0-60 is great and all but what I loved even more was the increase in power when rolling at any speed … will take off just like the performance and is almost even with it from a roll. Anyways I sold my 2019 and took delivery of 2022 3 LR in May and planning to purchase the boost for it in October 🤞 If you do decide on purchasing I’m sure I’ll find out about it in a future video 👍
Presenting the Long Range as "the second from the bottom" seems unnecessary to me. The performance isn't really that much faster, especially if you have the acceleration boost. Also, you introduce people to the acceleration by randomly stomping on the gas while you're already going 30 or over. I really think it would sell it better if you did it from a stand-still.
@@TeslaBarbarian get it man! I have an 18 long range and it made it feel so much faster and gives it a solid punch feeling everytime you floor it. Especially from a roll. You seem like someone who would get a lot of use out of it
My 2022 has a fantastic ride smoothness; but I have ridden in a 2018 that was pretty rough in the ride-quality department, so I can empathize with what you’re saying. I’m definitely glad that Tesla took corrective action on that front, and have made the seats and ride quality so much better than they were in years prior 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Didn’t skip over it; he was talking about the acceleration just with me pulling out of the parking lot; and I was intentionally gentle with the pedal LOL
