Nicky my man, I want to be really sincere here. I really appreciate your masterclass videos. As for me, I've spent so much money on getting quality tutorials from big name, hotshot artists. I've watched and attended so many artist walkthroughs and masterclasses, but few were practically helpful. But I can confidently say that you are one of the few artists who really tackle everyday producer problems. So many times I was angry at those paid masterclasses because all they said was, "Oh it's easy, you just go like this" and "Oh, I bounced out to audio so in this case I can't show you how" and quickly skips to the next part and waste the next hour talking about 'sidechain compression' which everyone at this level already knows about. I remember years ago when you had your big hit Toulouse and did the tutorial (whoever new to the game, go fucking listen to that track.) That one video opened a new gateway to producing EDM for me. And now, after all these years, this video made me passionate again. You bring no 'sugar-coating' to the tutorial, and your words have insight. Thanks for sharing your video! Can't wait for the part 2!
after being so super busy still you are taking out time for helping new producers this shows your personality cant thank you enough i really appreciate your support this video really helped me a lot in so many way will be waiting for more and even your protocol flight show thank you.
Hey Nicky, I just want to let you know that I got more useful tips out of watching a couple of your FREE 15- 20 minute tutorials, than I did in some " Master Classes" that I spent $100 bucks for. You're a great instructor as well as Artist/Producer. Thanks again.
This really helps us producers and it's awesome to see you supporting us with these masterclasses. I would appreciate some deep information about the kicks, how do you choose your kicks and how do you place them in your mixing. I also hope you show us much about your mastering process because that is something i struggle with occasionally. Thanks so much!
Amazing as always NIcky. Love to see a masterclass on 'Warriors' with Volt & State or possibly a masterclass on 'Let Me Feel'. Keep up the great work with these masterclasses :)
Nicky can you do a tutorial on only on mixing? Like what is a proper headroom to have in a mix and how to mix in harmonic.? and also how to mix kick and basses properly.
Love those videos of you, very helpful for sure !! Hope you'll talk more about how you can get your layers and sounds sound thick but still very clean and how much compression you should need on every sound ! Keep it up
Hey Nicky thanks for the tutorials they are awesome and very inspiring. I saw some tutorials and i want to thank you because you teach so well man, specially the eq i just did what you said about the frecuency and my production sounds so much better!!
please show us how you create the leads and show wich effects are on it and how you eq the leads. I think this is the most problem to create clean leads ;)Thanks :D
Tim, each lead will require different treatment. Just experiment and listen to your sounds in as many places as you can. The cheap speaker test is wise. Good luck!
Hi Nicky! Awesome series you got going on, I love it! Would it be possible to show us how to go trough a whole project from start to finish? Like, you start a brand new project so we could see how you do layering, effects etc?
I can fix the problem of Latency in Logic when you want to record or play piano in a large or almost finished project. That is possible in logic! Here we go, follow the steps: Go to 'Preferences' > 'Audio' > sub folder 'General' > find below "Low Latency Mode" and click this one. Now your piano will work smooth again. When you are done playing the piano? Unclick again. Because your Logic needs latency to count all the plugins and stuff like that. Good luck :)
dude u r so cool. U actually said that u were inspired by reload or at least was influenced by that melody and everything just around your chords. In your tutorials i can see it's very artistic process
Nicky Romero , you used (or recommend) a Mid/Side EQ ? For example in your Leads , you can cut some Mid Frequency on the Side, but gain a little bit High Frequency on the Side. It just an example but i didnt saw that in your video. Thank you so much and sorry for my bad english !
Hey Nicky. Cool Video. It would be nice to see a Tutorial, where you explain loudness Mastering. So it would be nice for me to know, how your tracks get as loud as they are but not overdirved. Greetings Xeriwin
I'm glad you do not use a ghost producer, you're one of the few who make their own music and that's appreciated
Nicky my man, I want to be really sincere here.
