- Alesso dropped his latest hit single, “REMEDY,” just a few days after signing to Universal Music Group’s 10:22 pm imprint in late August 2018. The Swedish DJ recruited British singer-songwriter Conor Maynard to provide vocals for the lovelorn track, which has tallied over 50 million Spotify streams in less than two months. Alesso recently sat down with Genius to reveal how he produced the track.

The thing about Electronic music (House especially) isn't about how complex the drums are, its about creating a groove and the sound design incorporated. House is heavily influenced from Disco. Not trying to sound like a know it all, just simply explaining how the element of "skill" or complexity is in genres that are super different from one another.

4/4 kick refers to the kick in 1 bar. So in 1 bar you have 4 kicks equally spaced out. Most music that uses 4/4 is usually House Music. Hope this helps

It's really sad to see that old Alesso is gone and that now he is doing this generic sellout music that might appeal to the mainstream, but which also makes him replacable as songs like this can be made by pretty much any other professional dance-pop producer...

More of Deconstructed episodes like this one, please. I think there's not much substance when you guys feature beatmakers who make quick beats for rap songs. This is what you need to do: interview music producers who *produce music* and not beatmakers who *makes beats*
