The farmer's fridge seems like an awesome on the go option - I really wish there were more convenient options like this because I am sure plenty of people who rely o candy bars, sodas and pastries/sandwiches are actually tired of these options. Plus, it is so much nicer to eat some "real food" even if on the go!
For real!
I'm from Chicago and I'm also vegan. There are a number of places that are favorites of mine, including pie pie my darling, kitchen 17, can't believe it's not meat, Cinnaholic, bloom plant-based kitchen, stand up burgers, vacas creamery, Alice and friends vegan kitchen, Beacon donuts, urban vegan, and uncooked. I probably enjoy Alice and Friend's Vegan Kitchen the most. These restaurants are all vegan.
Thank you!
Your dad is adorable and handsome! Glad you both had a nice trip! I enjoy hearing about your jewelry biz.
Thank you so much!
Your dad is so cute 🥺
Thank you
I’m from Chicago and the vegan food is kinda lacking (at least in my opinion), but there is this bakery called Pie Pie My Darling that’s amazing. You can’t go into the shop and just pick up a dessert, but she does orders on fridays.
oh ive been there before and tried the cake! Delicious
If you haven’t been to Planta Queen, you’re missing out! I think Chicago has a ton of great options! You just have to find them!
Hiii! Some of my fav spots for vegan food in Chicago are bloom plant based kitchen in wicker park, casa yari in Logan square, and la Esperanza in Pilsen! They aren’t all fully vegan but have amazing vegan options. Casa yari is probably my favorite.
Thank you! ill keep that in mind for my next visit. I definitely want to go back!
Loving the farmer's fridge, the business outfit, and the milkshake looked really good! Hope to see more videos from you soon.
Thanks so much! 😊
I was EXHAUSTED just watching this, so I can only imagine how you felt! This was so interesting, as we rarely get an insight into the ethical jewelry industry, and I have great confidence that things are going up and up for your projects, because you are doing things the right way, and with joy. Thanks for posting!
Thank you!
This was fun 'going' on this trip with you! I'm glad the pop up went well
Thank you!
I'm so glad you have such a good family relationship. You supporting your parents by working in their business and they supporting your career on UA-cam and also your vegan journey. My mum is vegetarian now and loves trying vegan food but my dad wouldn't even set foot in a vegan restaurant and I'm not even joking 🙄
Congrats on your week, it was obviously very hard work, I would love to own a Riva piece someday.
Aww thank you so much. And sorry about your dad. maybe he will come around one day!
Yay you found a farmers fridge! There’s one at LAX too. A lifesaver… fresh and reasonably priced
Can’t sleep so I’m catching up on my comfort videos 🥹🫶🏻
Perfect timing for this video because I’m going to visit my friend in Chicago for new years
First of all - if I had any monthly spare money you'd certainly be the first creator I support. I just looove your content and personality plus the jewelry side of your life you're sharing more of lately is just SO SO interesting to me! For now though, I'll just tick to leaving milions of comments under anything you post o yours and RIVA's social haha :D

Have a wonderful end of the year (time flies by, it really does...)!
Awww thank you! You've been so supportive. I really appreciate you
Congrats on your growing jewelry business. I've been looking at necklaces. Your dad brings good vibes to your videos. What did he think about Chicago Diner?
He liked the food! And thank you
Thanks, it was a very nice busy vlog to watch.
Dogs eating edamame is adorable. Congrats on the popup.

Thank you for sharing RIVA with us!!! Is that an engagement ring Rebecca???
You’re so welcome! And no haha. It’s just that ring fingers are comfy for rings 😭
I've been binging all your videos, thanks for uploading🥳
When I was on a scientific conference this year sides and seitan sausages (similar type to what you had) were my go to for most meals haha :D The are such a lifesaver!
That pizza u got in Chicago looked sooooo good I can't believe the vegan cheese stretched that far do you remember the kind of cheese they used
Omg the restaurant giving you food on the day of your popup was the kindest!! How lovely!
Right? I got a bit emotional
MY CITY!!! been waiting for this
26:05 so cute watching them have edamame. Great video!! The colored empanadas reminded me of the colored/rainbow krabby patties of spongebob. And your experiences in the jewelry industry are also appreciated!
Thank you!!

oh Luv, if I lived in NY I'd be there and buy one of your sooo special pieces. By the way, LUV is what I call my one and only beloved son. I would be so proud to have you as my daughter. You are awesome and I'll never forget how much you enjoyed my food at Petisco Vegano. Much Love and Peace from Upstate NY. Raquel

You look cute in the “grownup clothes”, Girl! Love that you and your family are doing the ethically-mined gold! Thanks for the heads up on the vending machine at the airport!
Thank you so much!!
This conference sounds INCREDIBLE and I am not only here for the food - you can bore me with all the jewelry stuff! Also, did you make any business friends? Will RIVA have some ethical gem collections in the future? I know you were really hoping for it to happen at some point!
Yes! RNY will definitely have ethical gem collections in the future! Maybe as soon as next year!
I’m a patron and definitely recommend it!!
Awww thank you!
❤
chiago born and raised good eats
mere mortals can only dream of having this level of meal prep foresight
I LOVE hearing about your family's company! I just checked out the website, so beautiful I want to save up $$ for a chain! Is it sweatproof?
Thank you so much! Berto works out in his all the time and it still looks the same!
Your dad is god damn adorable
Wow, what a busy week you had!
Busy yearrrr
Ok but your brother 👀 is so handsome.
I definitely need to buy a piece of jewelry since my name is Reva lol
Oh wow, what a coincidence
Hey! At big events like that, how do you know that the crackers and the bread is vegan?
I recognized the crackers and I asked about the bread!
I’m kinda confused about the jewelry part. I’ve seen quite a few sustainable gold brands in the USA. I think the celebrity Nikki Reid has her own recycled gold line from computers called bayou with love… I think that’s what it’s called though. But anyway, I loved the blog. Chicago is my favorite city in the world ❤
I’m sure these are different categories of jewelry though…recycled and ethically sourced are totally different.
There's soooooo much I can talk about this topic. This comment definitely won't be enough but if you ask on my tiktok, I can make a video series! But long story short, there is alot of recycled gold jewelry on the market. And mostly, thats the best ethical option for people. But even though it's the most accessible ethical option, it has alot of loopholes! Did you know that you can take freshly mined gold, turn it into a bar, put it in a bank then take it back out to make jewelry out of it and now its considered "recycled"? Also, some countries that have trade restrictions smuggle their gold in as "recycled". But thankfully, if you buy from a reputable refinery, you can get around that second issue. The first issue is still real. As for post-consumer gold from computers, I dont know any refinery that offers strictly gold from electronics. It might exist but usually, the electronic gold is mixed with all the other recycled gold. "Fairmined" gold is new-ish to market and is in limited supply. It's newly mined gold procured under ethical and safe conditions. And because it's new, and my dad is one of the first factories to start working with it, we are currently the only ones offering fairmiend gold chains to designers. We hope to see the market for fairmined gold grow and the loopholes for recycled gold to close but that will take time. Dont get me started on the stone issue. It's a much bigger one haha. I hope that answers your questions!
Pakoras :)
Well I’m gonna have to disagree with you because I’m a marathon runner so in my opinion marathon day is the single best day in NYC because everyone is in a good mood I guess unless you’re trying to drive somewhere so I hope it went well for you guys I love your jewelry line and your channel
Haha i'm sure it's a great day for the marathon people. It must feel so fulfilling!
@@bodegacatx Yea its great for runners. But I totally understand your viewpoint.
One year I didnt see my fam at all bc they left home late and couldnt get thru marathon traffic in time to see me. Itsnkinda lonely when youre counting on seeing friends n fam at specific spots on yhe course and they no show. But its still a great event. Im glad your popup went well.
You know what? I've just realized I have never had any Chinease/Japanese/Korean takeout XD Moreover, I have only had takeout maybe 3 times in my life and it is not going to change much since I live in the suburbs and they just don't deliver anything here lol XD
your so gorgeous
She has personality to spare. p
hehe
pretty sure that place just put dairy cheese on everything lol. I hope it's lab grown dairy or something!
No it wasn’t dairy cheese :) I did double check and also speak with the owner!
They would absolutely be discovered because people would get super sick lol! But it did look good! I accidentally ate dairy a couple of weeks ago (🤢 fml and yes I was sick!!!) and it stretches but I also forgot that it has a gross rubbery quality that's not gooey, which I feel like that not meat place and other vegan cheese is. Like that sticky feeling? I bit into my pizza and was like it's not sticky what is wrong!!!!
❤
