They are $16 on amazon now.
You can always pop them pins out of that plug and put them in the old one.
I'm going to rework the points on my royal star tour deluxe. I ordered the K&L 18-4615 points. Pretty reasonably priced at around $25-40 on Amazon. The only trick is soldering one wire, but that's easy enough. Give it a shot!
I'll check it out thanks for the tip
Hi! Thank you for your video! You mentioned that your pump was going out. Can you tell me what the bike was doing that helped you know that? I have a 2005 yamaha royal star venture that I was riding home yesterday and it started sputtering as I gave it gas and then the bike shut down on me. I waited and started it and ran it a little longer. Then, same thing. After about half hour, I was able to start it again and drove it the rest of the way home. Wondering if that is a sign of a fuel pump issue. Thank you!
That's about what mine was doing, and once it ran it was fine for weeks and then just did it again. found if I hit the pump it would start back up and run again.
do u by chance u have a illstration or info on fuel hose diagram for installation from the fuel tank to the peacock and filter ,fuel pump
i do not, but if I run across one I'll let you know.
Where is the fuel pump relay located??? I see my fuel pump and the connectors for both ends but as soon as I plug it in it blows the main fuse
mine was on the line heading towards the back tire, was rapped in a band.
Mine just cut off on me on the ride home I let it sit and ran it a little farther before it did the same thing. I noticed that it seems like the pump was making a odd noise like it was a inconsistent vibrate noise. Think it could be the pump?
mine did the same and it did that for over 1 year,
@@2chicksandagoat568 thank you for the response
It happens to all of us
If you can video yourself changing the points on the fuel pump you'll be a you tube hero because the OEM fuel pump is huge $$$ and points replacement is inexpensive. It's a known weakness of the venture/deluxe family.
I'll break out the soldering gun and give it a try.
cut the ends and solder them to gether as long you have same pressure 2psi to 4 psi
thank, working great as of my last ride
Are you taking requests? I need to do my coolant but nothing on you tube.
When I need to change my out I'll put it up.
