Wow they made it hard to replace that fuel filter ! my 07 is running OK was thinking about replacing the filter don’t think so until it starts running bad after watching this
While your in there changing the fuel filter you may consider relocating it under the seat just above the coolant reservoir filler. All it takes is to cut the line there and then join the hose with a brass fuel line mender where the old one used to be. It will be soooooo much easier to change next time. I used a #33011 WIX filter.
I was looking at doing that, but I was having issues with my fuel pump so I didn't want to change anything else at this time. Maybe next time. Thanks for the tip. See you on the road.
What was the issue u had that made u choose to replace the fuel filter? My bike keeps Randomly dieing on the highway but then immediately stars back up, I’m thinking the fuel filter is really gummed up

I had the same issues, bike would just stop working. but it ended up being my fuel pump
is this the same process on roadstars?
I would think so, but I have not worked on one
Started up nice the next morning. Only 2 out... Go for a ride?
