You lucky duck, catching all four red and silvers... Awesome shots bro. I miss the grain trains already, and it's cool how you caught one combined with the manifest! Also a cool catch with that 103 job literally right behind the local. I've never seen them do that before.

Nice video Eric! I like to see the GA NE Railroad busy....as it is the only viable connection to the Blue Ridge Scenic RR....and Georgia needs its shortline rails!

The line seems to be abandoned south of Blue Ridge

Wow! Not to give you sad news but this video was taken 1 day after I was affected by an EF3 Tornado on Easter Sunday last year! It was the one that hit the Chattanooga area I don’t know if you heard about it or not luckily my house didn’t take much damage though

Great video! I like grain operations. Those two halves of the grain train add up to a total of 45 cars, was that all of the sections of the train there was at Marietta? And, they get the grain by CSX bringing loaded trains into the interchange at Elizabeth, correct? This was filmed over a year ago, so did they end up shutting down/relocating that elevator in Canton? Here on the CSX New Castle Subdivision in Ohio, we have grain trains that run through going to and from the South Branch Valley RR interchange in Green Spring, WV. That short line RR is quite similar to the GNRR with the grain operations and freight trains. CSX usually brings in a loaded 90-100 car train that the SBVR splits into 2 parts to take down to the feed mill in Moorefield one part at a time. They put 2 or 3 of their units on the front of a cut and 2 or 3 on the rear. It usually takes 2 days for them to take down both cuts to Moorefield, unload, and bring back up to the interchange. They have great power on that RR. One of their engines is a GP9 IN B&O paint, and another is high hood GP9 in Chessie System paint!

They typically run Monday through Friday, off on the weekends. Road train runs out of Marietta to Tate every morning.

@@ericsturniolo I’m in the area currently, staying actually about 10 minutes from the yard at Big Canoe. When do these trains run in the Tate area?

Going to be sad when they stop howling the grind up there I imagine that's a pretty good bit of revenue for the railroad
