Hang on to your hineys😊
The reason you want a micro jig for this type of fishing is the rate of fall, especially on Bluegills. The micro jig falls into position super slow once it hits the water and the Crappie and Bluegills are generally looking up to feed and they see something falling down at a slow rate. In fact, if youre fishing super shallow, say 4 feet or less, FORGET the jig....go with a #6 or 8 aberdeen hook tipped with a crawler head or 1" gulp minnow...set your depth a little more then half the depth...NO WEIGHT. Use a small stick type bobber, not a slip. It will lay flat on the surface and any minute bite and it will stand up. You will smoke em.
Larry you are spot on every time you say it: "We are in the greatest County in the World". Keep on reminding folks of that as some people have forgotten that. I also really enjoy your show!!!
Thank you for watching!!

Great show and fun watching 🎣👍😂🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!!
frosted flakes tip made me feel like I got the hot tip! can't say I'm gonna try it though 😊
I cant wait to get out there. Nice catch!!!
You should! Thank you for watching!!
Those fish were still there last week. I was up there a week ago Friday and last Sunday. Marked a lot of fish in 4-10’ in deep water right on the ledge.
Awesome to hear! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for doing a show somewhere other than GREEN BAY!!! So annoying that everyone is shooting videos there right now and it's absolute Combat fishing with all of the boats in the background of these videos! Glad you showed us something different today Larry!
Thats what we try to do! Stay tuned next week! its gonna be a killer show!
The beaver tail wax worm combo really works. I like how fish can't steal it off the hook.
You got that right!
Those were some nice Crappies
Zupke always comes through!!
What was that black material on your jig?
Great show . When are you coming to northern Illinois
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not sure yet! Hopefully soon!
Best way to locate spring crappies: wait for a friend thats on them to come pick you up!
LMAO sounds like your the man with the plan
@@LarrySmithOutdoors hey im a champ at figuring out a bite but dont go thinking im too good to tag along if somebody else figures one out too!
Livescope is life!
Its definitely is a game changer for chasing schools of fish
Ya know😁😁😁
Oh Yah 😂😂
What were the water temps?
temperature was about 45 F
Thanks for doing something different from the others. Really enjoyed the show.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching!!
👍👍
Thank you for watching!! 😁
$3k for a locator? Yeah right.....I'm stuck with the old sonar.
Sounds good Peter
You aint fishing if a robot is finding fish for you
It's a way to be more efficient
I’m fishing to eat. Man I love eating crappie so if I can find em easier. Best believe I am
@@LarrySmithOutdoors if your eating them yes other then that i like finding fish without a robot its way more exciting and natural
I thought John Gillespie was the most annoying person on the planet, turns out he's got competition.......
I respect John. He's a good guy
Can we still call this sports fishing? Time to lower the bag limits before it's to late the fish have no place let to hide
Yes this is sport fishing. We are following the rules, and catching and releasing for the most part
what lake in Madison?
Upper mud lake
mud lake in madison!
Larry you should do a "trash fishing" episode. Bullheads, little catfish, or carp. Lots of folks fish em and its an easy spot to shoot on the side of the road.
Hmmm...you might be on to something
