- I RECENTLY BOUGHT ROYAL ENFIELD METEOR . DURING THE FIRST SERVICING , TAPPET WAS ADJUSTED AFTERR THE ENGINE HEAD WAS OPENED. THIS VIDEO ONLY COVERS HOW TAPPET ADJUSTMENT IS DONE.

What's the cost of tappet adjustment
What purpose does that triangular special tool serve in doing the valve adjustment please?
Crankshaft adjustment
You don't seem to know what I am talking about. The crank is turned by the socket wrench at the bottom of the engine. I am asking what that TRIANGULAR piece of steel, with a screw adjustment on it is used for as it is applied on top of the camshaft holder? What is its function?
@Pauly Yes, thank you for your reply. I had already found that out, but having done the job without it, I find it is not necessary. The crankshaft won't move when it is in proper position. I would add here, for the benefit of others, that the crank is rotated counter clockwise to find TDC on the compression stroke.
He has crushed the feeler gauge. Definitely adjusted the valves tighter than it should be. The blade is meant to slide in and out of the gap with slight drag. He has basically crushed the blade and needs force to pull it out.
Were you able to find out what the spec for the valves are?
No..I didn't notice that... But what u say seems right..need to get it checked again..thanx
That's what I thought exactly when he struggled to pull it out and it seemed bent.. haha.. iguess it's a flaw caught on video..
Please can u tell me the valve clearence gap i mean to say the mm in guage... In both tappet front and back??

I already searched in meteor manual but couldn't find.... Please ask me in service center

No it dosent.. its part of normal maintainance
Could you tell us what measurements they have set for valve clearance ?

Bro after tappet adjustment, my motorcycle engine is getting stopped suddenly when both clutch & brake are pressed simultaneously these thing usually happens during the first run of day, what can be the reason I am quite worried.
You need to get it checked from ur nearest service centre

No.. my bike running smooth. No issues now
I recently purchased meteor 350. There is a constant "innng" sound after I start the engine..looks like it is coming from the petrol tank..any idea 🙏🙏🙏

Kanu bhai mere bike mein toh kuch nahi kiya first servicing mein… Just changed filters and engine oil..
Tappet adjustment is necessary or ull face engine sound issues in future. Get it done

No , they didnt
@@theadventurediaries2199 first they need to remove the spark plug then rotate the crank Shaft untill both valves are closed ( TDC ) now set the tappet .. aise nahi kia fir jada loose ya tight kar dia hoga ..

It's air oil cooled... Heating is little on the higher side but not noticable....

Brother I want be able to give any technical advice on engine working..not qualified for that.. engine will get heated up at constant high speeds ..you will be able to feel the heat in ur legs...

Mera bhi bht sound a raha hain..100/150 km ride ke bad to bht jada sound karta hain.aur isko thik karne ki liye new bike yeh sab khul ne padega ..kush thik nahi lagta..itna costly bike hain yeh sab bat par dhyan dena sahiye company ko.
But mine is all fine🤔
