I adopted 2 cats from a local shelter. A "bonded pair". One is a handsome tuxedo cat. He's laying in my lap right this moment as I type this. His sister is a lovely calico, she's upstaris in the pet bed at the moment. I'm glad to have been able to give them both a loving home.
They have been doing this for YEARS!! When i volunteered there they refused to let me call the phone number on a cats tag!! But hey....they are only doing their job Los Angelians. Get your pet spayed or neutered ASAP.
I fostered a dog from one of the LA Animal Services shelter. They are overcrowded as with any other shelters are. Many are understaffed as well. People need to spay their animals!
Its so expensive to own animals. I wish I can rescue every animal. Also in LA its harder and harder to have a pet. I can't bring my cat to my apt. I prey for all animals. Lord help them.
People buy animals without thinking. They just want an animal who will bark if someone comes on their property. The only reason to buy an animal is because you love animals. People buy them, but they change their minds and dump them. It's not nice to let an animal think he is going to have a good home, and dump him.
This has been done for years! And im not against it until people start fixing their dogs, I worked at a shelter and the amount of people that come to (adop) just for the money is crazy and on top they do horrible things to the animals and sometimes they are better dead than alive. Its hard to say this but from every 10 people that come to adopt 7 euther return the animal, or they comeback because the other one they got die, or because it ran away and other bad things. Fix your dog and shelters will start reducing the amount of dogs in there.
Not enough spay and neuter clinics. Private vets are gouging the public on spay and neuter costs. 1600.00 to spay a medium dog and 500 bucks to spay a cat.😊
@@crystalromero4127 Hi, there, people who were taught to do unto others as you would have them do unto you don't see that that golden rule cannot be considered in neutering animals because it causes an overpopulation, and something like this happens. It's even worse to know animals have to be put down because the shelter has more than it can house.
We need to put a hold on breeding animals in los angeles full stop period
