It is beyond my understanding when people start judging Arteta for having raised expectation to an Arsenal which two years ago was not at any sort near the top 4 even to reach the champion’s league. He has now created a team that has been considered favorite against Bayern and that in itself is a huge step ahead. As an arsenal fan , I am still grateful to the incredible Arteta for having put our team to such level of expectation and look forward to next steps.when talking about the 200M invested last year no one talk about Timber who is part of that and managed to play only one game and no one remind people how Chelsea, Man U invested over the last 5 years without showing a difference. Currently Arteta has reached the same level as Gualdiola ( probably the best ever manager to exist ) , and he is just two points behind that guys with six games to go. I am sure any other football manager in the world football would only be congratulating Arteta for his achievement at this level based on the two achievements that everyone is using to criticize him. Gunners let’s suppose the incredible guy we have in Arteta.
Just meant same stage in the champion’s leagues when talked of same level as Gualdiola.

As arsenal fans we again need to be careful with the media agenda which keep questioning Arteta despite all the progress the guy has made. In 2017 , Gualdiola had the best squad with Man City and his team got eliminated by Monaco in the round of 16 of the Champion’s league. Everyone talked about Champion’s league being a different competition and highlighted the lack of previous experience of winning the competition by City and everyone was patient as no one could criticize Guladiola. The guy repeated the same and got eliminated by Lion in 2020 in quarter final, still no one questioned Gulaldiola. Both Lion and Monaco are not any where near Bayern and still can’t believe the media being negative. At least Troy Deeney seems to have an idea of the incredible job done by Arteta and the direction❤

Whenever I watch Arsenal, it makes me think Haaland chose the wrong team. Because City’s extreme possession ethos is not suited to Haaland’s style of play. Arsenal are very good at keeping the ball but they are much more direct and counter much quicker than City. And I think that would have suited not only Haaland much better but provided Arsenal with the true goal scorer they’ve been lacking. Because as solid as Havertz has been the second half of the season, Haaland is on a completely different level.
Said this day one, Odegaard is also his friend, so they would have had immediate chemistry on the pitch, he'd literally be playing right behind him feeding him the ball.

It took Pep Guardiola 7/8 attempts to win the Champions league with Manchester City.
Klopp has only one Champions league trophy in his entire managerial career.
Mourinho was hired by Real Madrid and given unlimited resources to deliver the Champions league and he failed.

It took the second greatest manager (that is if you believe that horseshit) Klopp, a mere 15 or so seasons to win the champions League. Context is important

Arteta has been there for half the time and inherited a squad that needed a total overhaul - pep Inherited Kompany, Sterling, Aguero, De Bruyne, Silva, Fernandinho which all became main stays at the club under him, klopp inherited skrtel, couthino, sturridge, emre can, Gerrard, lallana, lovren most of which became main stays. Apart from the academy arteta overhauled the whole squad and it's worth mentioning the inflation of player prices in the last couple of years too, a 100m pound player was unheard of a few years ago which was when the main purchases of Liverpool and city occurred.

Last year arsenal lost Saliba and Partey in the latter stages of the season and dropped points because their back up was Holding and Elneny who are not the same level.

Their bench is bang average at best and players like Nelson, Nketiah, Elneny would end up playing for clubs like Besiktas, Palace or even worse so how do you expect to challenge for the CL and PL title with these players on the bench? Impossible. They have to get rid of the entire bench and sign solid and quality back up options

Well when arsenal have penny pinched for the previous 20 years they are well within their right to spend now, city spent more than arsenal last year and guardiola came into a team that had already been heavily invested in at the start, they are 2 points ahead of them in the league and all is still to play for. Net spend doesn't start 4 years ago just for arteta, it's a cumulative budget which you will find arsenal have spent less money in the premier league era than Tottenham and have a lot more to show for it.
Net spend expected return is relative to the position u are building from.
Use some intelligence. Let’s say Ipswich come up and over the next 5yrs spend 600mil net and outspend most of Europe should they be challenging for the league and European cup. We had to spend that just to close the gap on the top 2 and it’s not like they’ve stood still and haven’t been investing themselves.
