McBryde closed out 2019 with ACM New Female Artist, CMT Breakout Artist, a New Artist of the Year win at the 53rd Annual CMA Awards and two nominations for the 2020 GRAMMYs for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance for “Girl Goin’ Nowhere.” Her follow-up Never Will was tagged by Rolling Stone as one of the most anticipated of the year alongside NPR, who also ranked her Top 10 RIAA Platinum-Certified single “One Night Standards” as one of the best songs of 2019. The album earned McBryde a 2021 GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Album, making Never Will the only album nominated for Country Album of the Year by the ACMs, CMAs and the Recording Academy in the same award season. Yes! I first saw Eric open for Brad Paisley. I'm not sure why, but I think it was a "surprise" and he wasn't scheduled. Brad being the jokester that he is, introduced him as Dierks Bentley. (Which was very disappointing for my friend at the time because she was a huge Dierks fan.) The only song we knew of Eric's was "How 'Bout You." He had just hit the radio. I remember him playing a bunch of songs from his first album, and before every one, he told a story about how/why it was written. When his set was done, I went to the merch booth and bought his album. When the concert was over, I wrote an e-mail to my brother up north and said, "Eric Church. Go buy his album. Don't ask questions. Don't pass 'Go' or collect $200. Buy it now!" Since then, we've seen him live over 30 times. We've actually met him a few times as well. Telling stories about songs that the audience doesn't know is a genius move. It really makes you want to listen to the song, even if you've never heard it before.
Eric majored in marketing in college. He's good enough that he'd be fine without that degree, but you can just tell that he knows what he's doing when it comes to being a performer.
BTW I had front row seats to see him at Madison Square Garden a few weeks ago. Best show I've ever seen. I was bummed that Joanna Cotten had COVID, but Ashley McBryde was her replacement. I was so excited to see her! It was perfect.

Saw Ashley for the 1st time several years ago. She was the opening act for The Marshall Tucker Band at a little venue in Paducah, KY. This girl was having a seriously rough day, her bus broke down on the way to the show. So she got a rental car, grabbed her guitar and drove onto the show alone. She made it to the show, on stage, just her and her guitar, NO other band members, NO other instruments. Let me tell you SHE KICKED ASS! I was blown away! That girl hit a Home Run!! Since that moment I have been a fan. Seen her perform several times since and she never fails. She is a true professional, she's made of some pretty good stuff. Get to know her and her music, she's going to be around for a long time!

That song reminds me of my girls Dad!!! He was the most amazing man I’ve ever known! We dated for 2 yrs before we got married in November of 1972 and stayed married for 34 yrs before the Lord took him home in 2007. Have you ever loved someone so much that 14 yrs later after he passed you still love him that much??? We bought our first home when our firstborn daughter was 6 months old and 45 yrs later I’m still in that old house!!! He was a Marine that spent 2 tours in Vietnam and he was the kindest, most gentle man I’ve ever known!!! Don’t have any regrets and love the one you’re with!!!! That love can be taken away in a matter of months or seconds!!! Love you all for listening to me!!!!! 😘😘😘

I've admired and truly respected Eric Church for years. As an artist, well he holds his own. He is his own. It allows me to truly love his music because I believe in where it comes from. Ashley McBryde is from Northeast Arkansas like I am. I heard her first back in 2011 at the Brickhouse and I bought her album then. Ashley, you make Arkansas proud. You don't try to fit in, you aren't cut from the industry cloth. You've got this far on your writing and and performance and you're going farther. Thank you for being a woman, a good woman can admire. The kind we can tell our daughters are role models. Keep it honest, real, true to yourself and you will continue to connect with people all over. My old man turned 60 this year, tough as nails. Taught me a lot, how to hunt, fish, swing a hammer, turn a wrench and love God. He made me who I am today. Always been there for me and my biggest supporter. Glad to still have him around. Love this song.

I met Ashley at a show she did with a friend of mine and my boyfriend's. she sang this that night at a little bar in Nashville and not only her voice but this song gave me alot emotions and I cried through the whole thing. She has one of most classic voices I have heard from a female real country artist in a very long time. I love her voice and all of the words in this song, as it brings me back home. Where I already brought myself! It takes true talent to bring true inspiration. I am proud to say that she knows the road before. No offense to those before, but her words knock on Heaven’s door.

It's 1 am and I have listened to this song 4 times in a row. Every once in a while an artist comes along who can flat out sing your life in real time. Ma'am you have a gift from God and I thank him for it. Not that you need telling but stay true to who you are.
Reminds me of my grandpa. We always headed to the lake or the woods. That was our holiday tradition. The day he passed is the day holidays ended for me.
