Big Boss (Solid Snakes genetic template) survived multiple attacks from Volgin. Anyone who scales to this has City Block Level durability. In MGS 4 there’s a character called Vamp, who’s directly comparable to Raiden, who is Multi City Block level. Snake couldn’t defeat Vamp but he was able to hold him off until Raiden took over. Damaging Vamp in the process
Holy shit. I was actually wondering about commissioning this track myself. Well that saves some trouble. If anyone wants to know the connections, they are... Both are legendary special forces operatives known for saving the world from doomsday weapons, that slowly became more jaded and disillusioned with the institutions they served. With both FOXHOUND and the BSAA becoming corrupted, these operatives decided to form their own independent splinter groups (Philanthropy and the rogue Hound Wolf Squad) to continue their crusade against Metal Gear/BOW threats. They still maintain their morals and dedication to their cause. But you can tell by MGS4 and RE8 that they've grown weary after so many years of never-ending battle, and watching so many beloved comrades (particularly Frank Jaeger and Piers Nivans) perish. Their first adventure as rookies turned out to be a deathtrap planned by a mentor figure they once looked up to and admired. And one of their closest comrades that they believed to be dead would be subjected to super soldier experiments, brainwashed to some degree (remote-controlled in Jill's case, drug-induced instability in Gray Fox's), and would fight against them. Chris' role in RE7 and especially RE8 evokes Snake's in MGS2 and his relationship with Raiden. The hero of the previous game is made mostly unplayable to us. Instead we see him through the eyes of a rookie (Raiden and Ethan). And they look almost like demigods to us. With Chris' section in RE8 being insanely cathartic, because he just demolishes his way like a friggin Space Marine through the very same monsters that were menacing Ethan at the start of the game. It’s also worth noting that their nemeses, Liquid Snake and Albert Wesker, are quite similar as well.

Most definitely didn't expect a track to get a full on French name, especially not that one. But I guess it kinda works. Btw, for anyone that can't be bothered using Google Translate, the title means "The Mean Kids" (I'm legally obligated to say it given I'm French myself). Also, don't think I don't see that boulder punch thing. Gotta say, this is one weird track. Not in a bad way, mind you. But it stands out a lot. Similar to what Blackout Action Tactics did, it's more so an atmospheric track meant for two people tracking one another than it is a direct battle song. Altho to differentiate itself, this one has a more constant feel to it: lows are higher but highs are lower. Which I suppose fits because Chris is less about outright stealth than Batman is. On another note, gotta say that it's really interesting just how similar this track is to 13th Halloween. I doubt it's on purpose for obvious reasons but a lot of the motifs are quite similar if not outright almost the same. Like the 0:19 and 0:36 ones which are not only almost the same as 13th Halloween's own but also happen in the same order. This isn't a bad thing as they sound really nice and the song still manages to stand out outside of that but it's still funky how, by sheer virtue of a having a similar atmosphere, those songs ended up also having extremely similar motifs. That aside, I do want to note as a singular segment the ending of the track starting at 3:51. It gets across nicely what the song stands for: lots of tension but no aggressivity which makes it clear how both fighters are seasoned veterans that will fight without respite but will stay composed until the end of the fight. This segment seems absolutely perfect to imagine a Snake VS Sam-like scenario where they end the battle in an epic knife fight where a single mistake instantly leads to the loser's death which is why the song goes completely quiet quite abruptly. A great conclusion to a more than nice song. Overall this track is very unique for sure. It stands out nicely even if it has some heavy similarities to 13th Halloween but those don't remove from it at all. It gets the characters' personalities across really nicely and has a few nice story-driven segments that help visualize the fight. All around a great song. Amazing job with this as always.

First off great song Second, I actually have no idea who would take this. Certain traits would be obvious like strength for Chris and stealth skills for Snake but others not so much. Durability wise they have both survived some insane things and endurance wise can power through a lot of shit. Speed and reaction time is impressive for both as well. I'd give Snake hand to hand easily but Chris has kept up with Wesker's speed and martial skills enough to counter him so he should match Snake and in terms of firearms I would have no clue. This is pretty dam good match up and as much as I may prefer Chris I would have to lean Snake for this.

First off great song
Second, I actually have no idea who would take this. Certain traits would be obvious like strength for Chris and stealth skills for Snake but others not so much. Durability wise they have both survived some insane things and endurance wise can power through a lot of shit. Speed and reaction time is impressive for both as well. I'd give Snake hand to hand easily but Chris has kept up with Wesker's speed and martial skills enough to counter him so he should match Snake and in terms of firearms I would have no clue.
This is pretty dam good match up and as much as I may prefer Chris I would have to lean Snake for this.
