Incredibly inspirational and valuable! Thank you for sharing your experience! I have a full time job, and I'm planning to start freelancing and building multiple income streams in the upcoming year. Do you think it's better to freelance and look for clients globally or start out in a local market?
Thanks for the kind words, Marina! I think it depends on what problem space you'd like to solve/work on. Decide on the problem space first, then see which market (local/global) is a better fit for you. For example, maybe you'd find that you prefer SaaS and dislike e-commerce projects, vice versa. If you have no idea where to start, just grab on to any client you can find first, after that you should have enough experience to know which one is a better fit for you. Every client is different, every project might progress differently too 🙏🏻 One thing to consider would also be payments - global clients may pay in a different currency (eg. USD). So you'd need to set up a PayPal or something similar (totally optional). Hope this helps!

I think people should diversify into stocks, forex, and real estate, witnessing traders' millions is inspiring, but I seek smart, informed strategies to navigate these markets, minimizing risks and maximizing returns, perhaps through education, expert guidance, or alternative investment approaches.
Real facts. The financial market, including real estate, may be complex, but with expertise and a solid understanding, it can yield substantial rewards and lucrative opportunities for savvy investors and informed decision-makers.
It can also be very bad, I lost a lot trying it all by myself stock picking and selection, real estate investment and my portfolio on red, about nighteen months ago I got with A professional FA, I’ve now seen my $190k startup close to 2million in dividends. Thanks for sharing! I totally agree with everything being "figureoutable". I got into a top UX position after going self-taught because I was tired of my underpaid overworked retail job. I decided to sell most of my stuff and move into an RV to travel because I loved traveling and wasn't happy with the amount of time I could get off. I found ways to save money living in an RV and became totally debt free while saving 80% of my income, and I'm currently taking a mini-retirement for the first time at only 27. Informative! Additionally, in your investment quest or search for passive income, always remember to diversify. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. As one who has been into Real Estates for as long as I can remember, I made my first million earlier this year from stocks alone (through the help of a pro though). I also experiment with a couple of other things. Hard to imagine that I had initially refused to try out new possibilities especially given the current economy. Good luck!
Very sound and pragmatic. I have been into all of for long and though I won't say I have lost a fortune, but I have squandered quite a lot. If it's not a problem, do you mind recommending the pro you worked with? I could definitely use the help of one right now... I look forward to your reply...

Hi Rachel! Fellow Malaysian here 👋🏼 Absolutely love this just in time for the new year where I’m thinking about multiple-income streams. & I feel you, coming from 9-5 it’s super easy to feel guilty when you’re not “busy”. 🙌🏼
I love UI/UX Design, so glad to have discovered it last year. Design was my inner calling that I ignored for 10 years as an IT Engineer. Love you curiosity quote btw!

As a Malaysian working in the US, I’m always afraid of moving back home due to the lower income and lower exchange rates. But your video has opened my eyes to many sources of income and opportunities I can find back home! Thank you for sharing :)
I absolutely loved this video! I am a full-time college student right now, and my goal this year is to focus on gaining 3 income streams that I can have all throughout the year! The way you went through and showed the proportion of how much the income stream was in relation to your total income was a very helpful visual that really put into perspective for me how important each one can be when combined with others!
Hi. I'm a student studying Computer Science. And I stumbled on your video in my recommendations. As a Malaysian as well, it is really inspiring to see you succeed. I used to be gloomy on how our country isn't doing well on the jobs and built up my own fear cage from reading too much pessimistic articles bout the upcoming future. But after watching your video, I somewhat have regain my confidence that it is possible to survive and become financially free. Do you have any mentorship programs, or maybe like a coaching program cause I would really like to learn from you a lot more on developing my skillset needed to become financially free as well. I have to comment this time to let you know that I love your content (the music, the script, the setting, and of course the value I get out of your experience) Thank You!. Keep sharing.
Great video. Helps me a lot when I'm just getting started towards multiple income stream and financial freedom. However, seeing how each income stream relate to time invested would be really interesting to look at.
I have been trying to figure my streams of income out besides having my one side hustle and my current full-time job. Your way of approaching this topic is so realistic yet manageable and how you slowly grew these streams of income out of building credibility, curiosity and work towrads the ultimate goal in mind. It's funny because you started from a product manager full-time job to UI/UX design freelancing jobs so on so forth, which similarly I have thought about having a freelance side hustle in the field of my full-time job and create a digital product related to this industry. A fellow Malaysian supporting another Malaysian content creator here as well. :)
Even though 8 income streams sounds like a very lucrative way to go... I do not think that I could juggle that many. I think that I'd be content with about 3 or 4. But thanks for making the video! Very great information!
Thank you for showing the piechart! It's really useful! I saw other youtubers talking about their sources of income but no one showed them from a measurable perspective 🙏

Thank you so much sister Rachel, I just watched the first video from this channel that appeared on my homepage. A sentence I remember getting carried away by the subconscious of "follow your curiosity not your passion"
Fantastic video, as always Rachel :) I’d love to know how much time you invest(ed) into growing all of these income streams, and how it correlates with the income you get. I understand UA-cam is a long term game, so eventhough your income might not be that high at the moment, and the time you invest into creating videos might be disproportionate atm…but it’ll be worth it in the long run. I’m also curious if you could or want to outsource some tasks to a virtual assistant? I’m trying to find the balance amongst all of my income streams right now. But I’m too cheap to pay for someone (yet) :D maybe next year. Keep up the great work!

@@kevinchen2172 Make a list of ALL the things you personally enjoy or think you might be interested in working on as a side stream. Take 4-5 of them that seem like they could work with YOUR lifestyle and pursue them. Keep the original list around and add to it anytime you think of something new, and if 1 or 2 of your side streams just don't work out, replace them with others on the list. Dump all that into etf's on the stock market to let that money further grow and keep working your main job until you're able to live comfortable on about 30% of your side income streams while investing the other 70%. Once you reach that, you can retire from your full time job! Plus, after you get so you can live off 30% of the growth from your investments (which allows the other 70% to continue to grow), you can retire from your side income streams as well (if you so choose of course)!

The only 3 income stream worth mentioning are the full time job, uxui design, and the web flow. It's not so much the quantity but the quality of those income streams.
"Its about taking baby steps, so you dont have to rely on a single source of income when things dont turn out how you expected them to be." THAT PART!!!
So inspiring, thanks for sharing Rachel! And I super agree as well. Even if you have a full-time job, there's no real job security even if you have a full-time job. The security is in trusting that you'll be able to survive, pivot, and figure things out :) P.S. Is "everything is figureoutable" from Marie Forleo as well?

I’ve very recently decided that UI/UX is the field I would like to get into, and I’m currently setting up my systems and streamlining things to help transition into being productive. Videos like this are helping further refine the process
Thank you Johnathan! I'm happy you chose UI/UX, hope things are awesome for you!
@@rachelhow I’m a copywriter and video editor, but really want to learn UX/UI design. Where would you recommend to start?
So inspirational. “Follow your curiosity more than your passion” this quote gave answer to my some of my few confusions. Thank you for the advise

Thank you for this video! Especially for the part about setting up systems - I've freelanced for years without systems and it burned me out badly. And for the optimism and inspiration. I hope your hard work will bring you anything you desire!

Just like you I am also working as a product designer full time, and running a freelance business on the side. I am currently looking into building an additional income stream so this video was really helpful!
Possibly the best video on multiple streams of income that I've come across. Straight-forward yet informative. Thanks!
Just found your channel Rachel! Fantastic and inspiring video! I am a new homeowner and am always panicked about relying on only one income. I love your tips around not putting all your eggs in one basket and having multiple income streams so that you always have backup in the event that one of the income streams does not work out. Thank you for this!

Thank you so much for being genuine and not being a generic personal finance clickbait channel.
Thank you so much for watching :)
Again I would like to share my thanks to you for making an inspiring video. Have a nice day.

Thank you so much, Thierry! I really appreciate it!

Had to pause and just say your videos are really just refreshing, I don't know if it's maybe the music or your voice, it all just goes so well. What you say is also and explainations are just really... idk calming, if that makes sense lol
Now the question is: how did you manage your time/energy/stress to make all of these things work?
Keep up the great work!
super inspiring. thanks so much, Rachel. heard from so many people talking on the same topic, but yours really no BS, straight to the point and humble. your content has definitely made positive impacts on me. thanks again for sharing what you've done/learnt here. best wishes sent from hong kong ;)

After watching your video, I changed my Basic info on my channel and aded 'Even if only one person enjoys my videos it would mean the world to me!' Thank you so much for sharing your experiences ..you made a difference to me. ❤❤
Very inspiring! I was wondering how you managed your time to do all these works and your practices. I find Time management for different projects is the toughest thing. I really struggle on this. I'm a singer, graphic designer and also has interest in different sides related to art like interior design, ceramic, illustration etc. But I find it so hard to manage time to work and practice all those things. I tried to manage but I failed and quit from doing lots of things that I would love to do. ❤️
wow, I loved the Pie Chart display. It made the entire video feel tied together.
Thank you
Just out of curiosity: How would the pie chart look like if it was in terms of the time you spend on each of it
probably round
Good question, any suggestions for a full-time daddy with 2 naughty kids? Yet follow my curiosity?
@@Spladoinkal Thanks for pointing out the direction. I really like this step by step path to establishing a lifestyle for my own.

Thank you, Joef. 🙏🏻💕
Hey Lian Kyla, yes it's from Marie Forleo! :) Totally agree with you - we should be flexible, always learn new skills and be okay with pivoting when needed.
