Instead of a can of OFF, I take bug spray in the wipe form. They are individually wrapped and easy to carry.

I take a cloth fold-up shoe organizer that hangs in the closet. I use it for day clothes organizer. I put my shorts, tops, undies in the cubbies. There's still space for hanging up long evening clothes.
Yes! I love the shoe organizers as well! We do this on our longer cruises.😄
Yes, packing cubes are an absolute must! Even aside from cruises, I never fly without them!

I carry a portable carbon monoxide detector whenever I travel. Purchased one from Home Depot. Heard too many horror stories of vacationers succumbing to CM poisoning in their suits, rooms, etc. Whenever I travel, especially oversees, it's in the room with me. Always carry extra batteries.

You can bring flat iron to press clothes too, use face towel to protect clothes.
I never thought of using my flat iron for that!😀

Great suggestions. Few of my own. Id suggest a motion sensor magnetic light. Used it on our Disney Cruise and it was awesome! Also, Magnetic dry erase board vs the sticky notes. Its fun putting it on your door and receiving little notes throughout the day. Saves you all the paper too!

We always keep bathroom light on in hotels and in cruise cabin and leave door cracked..last few cruises i had a night light plugged

Do you ever check for bed bugs, and if you do what do you use to get rid of them or is there a spray?
We do check but have never found any. If I did find them, I would definitely not try to get rid of them. I would recommend not staying in that room and notifying the staff.

Hello! Great tips! Do you pack magnetic hooks in tour carryon when you are flying or your checked bag?
We don’t have to fly to port but when I fly for my upcoming cruise I will have them in my suitcase.

Absolutely! I’m using it on my cruise next week. It’s better than lugging an extra suitcase or toting a shoulder bag.

We had several bottles of wrinkle release and it didn’t work on any of our formal night clothes.
Oh no! 😟 It always works for us. We spray while on the hanger and pull. Most of the big wrinkles fall out.

@@JoST41 Maybe. You have to let marinate 😂😂😂Also, it works better with some fabrics than others, so it may not have worked with your formal wear.
Definitely great information for me. Going on my 1st cruise in 10-2024. I’m concerned about traveling with disinfectant spray on a plane……not sure if TSA will approve it.
They are ok. I've travelled many times with aerosols. Never had an issue.

In your suitcase but not your carryon.
Can you take your luggage with you instead of checking it in?
Yes you can. But it’s kind of inconvenient trying to maneuver it through the lines at check in and then dragging it around until they let you in the room. I have seen people do it, though.
@@melaniquefloyd388 yea you probably right, I just didn’t want to have to wait on it or them damage anything throwing it around 😬 I heard some people say they don’t get their bags until like 4, but I wanna enjoy my time and probably don’t wanna carry it around with me, decisions 🤔😭

While cruise walls are magnetic, they are also covered, the covering seems to take 15-25 lbs off the magnetic hold of any magnet you use depending on the ship and the wall.
