I have psychotic bipolar disorder and this is literally so harmful to people who experience delusions. 1) saying mental illness is fake and 2) the whole “simulation” conspiracy, bc we may start to believe what they’re saying. My sense of reality is actually so much more fragile than people realize. Hearing some idiot on TikTok say life is a game or reality is a game messes with my mind so much istg. That whole thing needs to stop and die. So many psychotic people are being hurt by this “simulation, it’s just a game, nothing is real” shit.

Me too. Once I experienced psychosis about doctor malpractice. When I told my friends, they jokingly said ‘but it’s not psychosis if they really are lying to you!’
They meant it as a joke but it nearly triggered another episode. People have no idea what it’s like.
Unfortunately that "life is an illusion/game" nonsense has been going on for a long time. First time I ever heard those words spoken was in the mid 90s by a stand up comic. But it's been in song lyrics and other media for even longer. All this New Age & hippy philosophy that's been drawing young people away from church and Christian ethics for decades is what has caused this society to rot.

As someone who actually suffers from Schizophrenia. It is very real and one of the worst mental illnesses known. Like a nightmare you can never wake up from. It sucks when your mind is your worst enemy.

I dug through her tiktok and it appears she burned out her brain on psychedelics and then met a small time cult leader who moved her into his house with a few other people. She refers to him as her “wealthy mentor” and I assume her living expenses are being taken care of by him. Its pretty clear she’s very unwell; some of the other cult ppl in the house appear in her videos now and then and they’re pretty much in the same boat. The rich guy cult leader doesn’t show up much but when he does he definitely gives off an uncomfortable vibe. They are selling some sort of book or course but it’s only a few dollars. I hope her family knows where she is.
Man I called it. I was thinking that this behavior is exactly like what psychedelics, or rather spiritual experiences from psychedelics, do to some people. They can really leave you vulnerable to some predatory stuff and those people are often scooped up by some fringe beliefs like cults, crystals and gurus. I thought she just got her stuff from the internet and mish mashed some weird stuff together to form a broken worldview from like The Secret and Matrix and stuff, but if there really is a guru type cult leader AND she's living with him then it's more serious than I thought. She isn't just deluded but actively being manipulated in a vulnerable state.
Pretty sad because this really reminds me of an old friend, who even looks kinda like her, that went down the psychedelic rabbit hole and bought into some guru. At least that one wasn't actively in her life but one of those generic ones that sell the "eastern mysticism" package to westerners. I've been down that psychedelic road myself and have had a spiritual experience but I managed to keep it together afterwards exactly because I didn't want to become "one of those people" that start buying into and spouting this kind of stuff.

People like Mandy are precisely why I left the psychology field. At a distance, these sort of people are fascinating and you want to know more and attempt to build profiles and pour through the data to better understand and help them. But then you sit in a room with them, measuring and hypothesizesing, and you feel yourself slowly losing your sanity and that quest for knowledge and those bits of positive social work become lost. I just wasn't strong enough to deal with these levels of delusion.
You can't be in the field to help people yourself. You have to be in it to help people to help themselves. If they don't want to, you can't. They can't just say they want to, either. If they can't get better even though they want to, there are things they won't give up. If they won't give them up, drop them. You shouldn't sacrifice yourself for others who won't sacrifice for themselves. It can definitely be difficult not to, though. Like any sense of duty, what you give to it should never be a giving up of anything, so it shouldn't be a sacrifice at all---it just may look like it, like a leap of faith. Do what's best for yourself, friend.

I have a high functioning schizophrenic in my family. You'd never know tho she takes her medication however they describe it as constant voice that never goes away. These voices often say things out of reality and make you believe things that are otherwise out of reality. It literally disconnects you from the world around you. Its really scary and my heart goes out to anyone suffering with this.
If you are schizophrenic I want you to know there's people who care, and we love you anyways. The world can such a mean place at times but, just know nice people are here and, don't give up on finding them. You aren't alone.

I have a type of schizophrenia, general anxiety, depression, PTSD, ADD, autism (Aspergers), possible OCD and some kind of personality disorder. I don't like this woman at all, but I do wish it was true that mental illness doesn't exist because it fucking sucks. Mental hospitals are not fun, I've been in so, so many this past 11 years (from ages 13 to 24, which is how old I am now). Just got out of one literally last week. My life is shit because of said illnesses and the audacity that this moron has to go on the internet and say that we are purposely doing this shit to ourselves INFURIATES me!!! This is the same tactic(s) used by con-men/women and those who are "inspirational speakers" or timeshare sellers. I've heard similar speeches from them for the last decade, it just leads up to them asking for a payday to "continue on."
As someone who struggles with the after-effects of childhood abuse that arose from undiagnosed disorders. I can honestly say that as a child i DID NOT intentionally behaved in a way my Toxic Narcissist mother would try to beat out of me before the age of 8. I did not intentionally behave in a way to draw negative attention down upon my head so teachers would be over whelmed by my differences and verbally/ emotionally abuse me through humiliation and isolation. And until 4 months ago (just after my 69th birthday) i had no idea that behaviors that have been part of me my whole life ,That contributed to the abuses i have lived through. were because i am a Female with Autism.
You can tell when people haven’t felt real pain.

As someone who's had there MIL tell them to their face multiple time that their clinically diagnosed mental illness is fake and insinuate I'm just a bad person, listening to this person is extra annoying. I hate know more of these people exist. Depression and anxiety are real, not just a person having a bad day who needs to just get over it and move on.

Dude this actually made me pissed. The fact that she had the audacity to say that schizophrenia isn’t real is so gross. As someone who’s mother is diagnosed with schizophrenia, *it is real* ,it isn’t a joke, and it was terrifying to see the shell of a human she almost became before getting diagnosed and put under meds, it isn’t a joke, it ruins lives, she was barely a mother before going under meds. Even if this is bait, this makes my blood boil that people use this to bait people, even worse if it’s real because people actually think this way about serious things they have no idea what their talking about and feed into the stigma of mental health.
If she believes this I am genuinely sorry for her and those around her.
Being delusional can lead to consequences. More so negative consequences rather than the positive consequences as a result of this. You meet a bunch of crazy/delusional/rude people in your life, and that's normal, however what's not normal is them crossing their boundaries. I've had experiences where I feel as though I was being threatened and didn't know what else to do except to let the whole situation cool off and subside over time.
Yeah, she is just delusional, she is lying. My cousin is like this, he is homeless yet he has thought he is a millionaire several times. I also know someone who is family with a lottery winner, they won 58 million dollars and are now broke. I do not know how beyond just drugs and gambling. They made several million-dollar bets and lost them while doing all of the drugs.

She reminds me of a kid that i went with to Elementary, super annoying, delusional and just expected that the universe would solve all his problems I remember being in like 4th grade and thinking, "damn, the real world is gonna hit him like a train." The simulation wants us to do that. By these guy's logic, everything that is on Earth was made by a simulation and since she's using currency (something else the simulation made) wouldn't that mean she's just as a victim as us? I don't think we live in a simulation, but if we do, she has only proven that she is also a victim of the simulation.
