Born and raised in NYC. Worked and paid my taxes for decades. Fell into extreme poverty due to health problems that prevented me from working. The city gave me about $120/month for food and CONSTANTLY tried to kick me off the program, forcing me to fight my way back in every few months for YEARS until my health finally improved and I was able to work again.
I was getting roughly 10 cents on the dollar what they’re handing out no questions asked to these… cough… migrants… now. And no luxury housing.
