Now THIS is how you properly theme a property with an IP! It feels like every inch of this hotel was touched by a designer that understood Toy Story. Wow! This might be my favorite hotel/living space out of everything you've ever featured. Thank for taking us on this adventure!
I feel like sometimes Disney is afraid to go this far with theming at resorts, like they think adults want something subtle with just touches of Disney. I want over the top theming or immersion haha
The reality is we get subtle at normal hotels we stay in, when we go to Disney, we want Disney theming! That's the point, and they seemed to have missed that lately... We want all the Disney touches!@@OrdinaryAdventures
Yes, HOWEVER I also think it would be pretty hard to mess up the theme. We're all kids at one point, so channeling those memories into the flow and feel of a space is easier to tap into than say Star Wars, which we only have X amount of material to refer to. Not saying you're wrong, but just on a scale I'd rank this "hard to mess up".
That luggage shipping service isn't just at Disney, it's all over Japan, just ask at the front desk of pretty much any hotel. There is a charge (I'm assuming Disney didn't charge between their own hotels), but it is 100% worth it. And I'm pretty sure they're using some kind of magic, Floo-powder network, because your luggage is always just waiting there at your next hotel as soon as you arrive.
Yes, it's called a private company called Yamato Transport. They can even take your luggage to and/or from the airport. Look for the logo of a mama cat carrying her baby in her mouth.
@@dariusq8894 yes, the company’s nickname is “kuroneko yamato” (black cat yamato). Black cats are considered good luck in Japan. So their logo has a black mama cat carrying her kitty.
We've only stayed at the good neighbor hotels (twice at the Hilton & once at the Sheraton) & had awesome experiences at both! In regards to the weird or interesting buffet food, you have to remember that it's catered more to Japanese tastes. The western dishes are approximations of what they think westerners would like. Also, Asian cultures are big on textures as well as tastes, which explains the amount of things with corn or boba or jelly in drinks. Btw, i know you don't like seafood, but if there's anywhere to try it, do it in Japan! You might surprise yourself. 😁
Your entire Japan series is AMAZING. I eagerly await each episode. I will be a little sad when this not so ordinary adventure is over. Regarding the Tokyo parks, the OLC and Imagineering hit it out of the park on everything they do. While Disneyland has a special place in my heart (So Cal kid), these parks look spectacular. First Class all around.
The Toy Story Hotel is AMAZING!!! It’s one of the newer hotels of the Tokyo Disney resort. It’s good to see that it’s an easy monorail ride to get to it. I always wondered how far it was from the parks. You guys… this Japan vlog series has been AWESOME!! Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with us. ❤ Arlene
27:52 The clapping in the Lotso Garden Cafe...the sound was a little garbled but I could make out the cast members announcing that it was someone's birthday so "please give them a round of applause!" 👏😁 30:41 That's cheese 😇
As a lover of Toy Story, I find this hotel to be so glorious. If this would have existed when I was a kid I would have lost my mind! Every little detail is done with care and it shows.
I haven’t watched the video yet, but I had the SAME REACTION when I stayed there in October!!! I absolutely LOVED staying at Toy Story Hotel (and being a Lotso fan, I was so in love)! Bring me back 😭
I truly appreciate this video series on Japan and TDR! My husband and I just booked a 2 week trip to Japan for August 2024 (hot, I know..) and will include 3 days at Tokyo Disney Resort. I am beyond excited about all of it, and your videos have been invaluable so far. Thank you!
What a deal! That price is incredible! For the buffet and the room. How unexpected.. for a Disney property. This series has been so much fun to watch and learn from. It makes the almost inconceivable idea of going to Japan feel actually achievable, in one capacity or another. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Still loving this series! Y'all did so so much in Japan and did a great job filming it and presenting all the content! I just have to say I was so surprised to see BR - ok Baskin Robbins ice cream in the grab and go store! Didn't know that was an international brand!
I’m so here for the theming in this hotel! Everything looked so awesome. The room was cool with the TV as an etch a sketch. You really feel immersed in the movie and your inner child can come out ! I said before I would need 2 suitcases for souvenirs but I think I’m now up to 3! Happy Birthday Peter and Happy Holidays to you and Kitra. Thanks for sharing this adventure with us! 🥰🥰🥰👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💜💜💯💯💯
YAY! Another OA Tokyo video! I can’t tell if you’re editing skills are just so good that you guys are able to separate the different parts of your trip… or are you just amazing planners??? Mysterious 😅
Great Vlog at the Toy Story Hotel. Feels like Kingdom Hearts and Toy Story Land Combine. It's better than Toy Story Lands itself. Oh, and Happy Birthday, Kitra.
This video series made me say to my boyfriend “I think I want to go to HHN Japan and Tokyo Disney as our ‘big’ vacation 2024”. Thanks for all of the information. You two are my absolute favorite!
That was some excellent commentary. Our favorite Japanese Character by far is the Hello Kitty because of its fiftieth (50th) anniversary! We collect lots of Hello Kitty watches and plush dolls. Our shorts contain lots of Hello Kitty watches with flashing lights. Do you folks like Hello Kitty?

Haven't finished watching, but I'm at the part where you are going over the food. I can tell you aren't familiar with Japanese comfort food. No worries! The chicken pilaf with the eggs is actually omurice. A dish that kids usually make themselves, it's ketchup fried rice and then you cover it with the eggs. Popmart figures! The Disney Popmart figures are actually difficult to get in the US because of licensing. Don't fall into the designer vinyl toy rabbit hole 😂Too bad you didn't get a Dale, but the 2 Chips you got are cute!
Great video!!! I fast-forward through most “sponsor reads”…. But you even make those entertaining. Hoping for a random run into you guys at the park. It’s been too long since we got to say “hi”. Enjoy your holidays and birthday!!!
I'm having a great time journeying through Tokyo with you two! Thank you for the great videos of your trip. I appreciate your clear, realistic approach to showing us around.
This hotel feels like an immersive experience. Great variety on the buffet, and a great way to try new to you items. I remember when jello mold desserts were at every party I went to as a kid and some were actually tasty. The two chips you got were cute, but how tempting was it to try to collect all of the mystery boxes?
I'm really enjoying this series of vlogs. It's wonderful to see you, and other vloggers, getting out of the US Disney 'bubble,' and venturing further afield. You both seemed to have taken it 'in your stride,' and not become flustered. Maybe behind the scenes though! Thank you for taking the leap.
I'm enjoying them, too. I'm wondering if, for the 40th anniversary, if they sent out free trips to the Disney bloggers, since several visited all at once????
THAT LOOKS SO AMAZING. We are going to Japan in April. It's all sold out to stay there. But can you go to the toy story store without having to stay at the hotel. I'm heart broken not being able to buy all that merch!!!!
What is this cuteness?! The green aliens are my favorite Disney character (like chip and dale is kitra’s) and I wanted EVERY SINGLE THING of them 😍 and the cafe- I will agree that some of the food looked…unique, but I’d eat them~
I really need to comment as I watch the video as I forget all the things I want to comment on when its over. Kitra, great Mickey impression!!! Holy smokes, that hotel was over the top themed!!! Amazing!!!! The views were great!!!! The 7-11 type store was like no other, I'm not a merch girl, but wanted everything you showed! Thanks for sharing all your adventures!!
Next time Brandon and I go to Japan we would love to stay in this hotel! So beautiful and fun! We stayed at the Celebration Hotel and it was also pretty good! ❤
The luggage transfer service on property is a nice perk! Works on Disney & the official hotels and my bags are usually there before me! I like to do a split stay between the Sheraton or Hilton and then one of the Disney hotels. I can use/earn points and use the club lounge with my status to save money. You can see Disneyland & DisneySea from the Sheraton lounge! Plus, the rooms tend to be bigger than many Japanese hotels.
I’m so glad you made it to Toy Story Hotel. Another Disney vlogger I watch (her home park is Disneyland Paris) managed to stay there for her Tokyo Disneyland stay. Tokyo Disneyland really is on another level. The Disney parks in America could learn a LOT from what Tokyo Disneyland is doing. One little quibble, though: you didn’t show what makes the slippers at Toy Story Hotel so special (it’s on the bottom of one of the slippers). I’m so sad you missed showing that in this video! 😢
This is great! Can't wait to go there in the coming future... After watching Chris video's in the summer, you guys are the greatest! We love it. See you again in the park! We're the ones that meet you in the stairway of the parking structure when we gave you greetings and was sad about your mom's passing, and saw you guys outside Oga's one summer in 2021
Disney in Orlando and Anaheim could learn a thing or two about theming! Tokyo Disney has been spot on! Will probably be my favorite park when I go. Come on Orlando and Anaheim! Step up your game!
It’s cool to stay at any Disney hotel , but once you’re in the Sheraton breakfast buffet oh boy oh boy Disney can keep their 15min happy entry im going for the food. Sheraton it’s cheap , rooms are bigger twin queen beds , more adult oriented yes . Happy birthday in advance Peter from New Zealand 🇳🇿 ❤️
What a great hotel for being a moderate hotel! The theming in the restaurants for the food is so crazy! I wish we had that here at Disneyland😢 also the egg and rice they had available was too make omurice I think :)
I'll never get over how much fun the toy story hotel looks. Kid me (and adult me lets be real) would be so excited to go there lol. Lite Brite was also one of my favorite toys growing up. I even have a little glass jar filled with the little light pegs that you use. Also, what Peter thought was battleship were actually just little trays with pegs that you make shapes on using rubber bands. (what the huge Saturn on the ceiling was made of) We used those all the time in elementary school. I also would've had too much fun looking at all the cute stuff in the convenience store lol.
This whole series was incredible. I enjoy your perspectives because I learn more from you than from other vloggers. The only downside is the insane amount of advertisements.
I can't wait to visit Tokyo Disney. It's the closest resort to my home. I still can't afford to travel yet, but hopefully that will happen one day soon.
I stayed there last year but I didn’t have early entry because of Covid. Also, the cookies shortage was going on. So there was no this hotel limited cookies or snacks in the gift shop. I had breakfast at the buffet. I enjoyed all foods with ocean view. There were lots of Japanese traditional breakfast items so I think for foreigners dinner is better. The CM was celebrating for the guest’s birthday at the restaurant. I heard one of the kid had 5 years old birthday from your video. So everyone clapped their heads for the child. It was funny that Peter said “Butter” for Mickey and Pooh shaped Cheese 😁 I went that store every night after the park because we didn’t have time for eating at the park. I could see whole front yard from my window. I enjoyed the morning and night time view. I love Toy Story Hotel. Thank you for sharing this experience. It brought me back my good memories there 😊
I absolutely love your videos and it's so cool to get to see Tokyo Disneyland through your eyes as it'll be a long while before I get to go. BUT: I have never felt so British as when you called the kettle the 'hot water maker' 😧
This hotel looks AMAZING; love how thorough your tour is! I will quibble with one thing... seafood absolutely DOES belong on pizza, and not just in Japan. For instance, if you ever find yourself in the vicinity of New Haven, CT, get yourself a white pie with clams... the flavors are amazing!
Sorry if I missed it but will you guys be sharing how you planned your Japan trip. My Family and I are wanting to plan a trip to Japan but I don't know where to start. Would love to see how you guys planned it. Great Japan video's. You guys are the best!
Those Pooh and Mickey treats at 30:45 were cheese. Yum! My go-to at Japanese conbini are the onigiri you see in the triangular shapes at 30:25. So many varieties to choose from with fish, fried chicken, tuna, so many!
Obviously binge watching videos and this one ooooo so good!!! Toy Story is my favorite OG movie of all time so this was amazing to watch! I was geeking out just as much as Kitra the whole entire time. I’ll never get to experience things like this so I’m glad that you do such a good job at making me feel like I was right there with you throughout the whole video 👏🏻🤩
Hi Kitra & Peter, thank you for sharing your experience in Disneyland in Japan 🇯🇵. I really enjoyed your editing and illustrates on this channel. Merry Christmas 🎄
Living for each and every Japan focused video - this series has been amazing!! Thank you for sharing your journey. I’ve been eagerly taking notes for when I go!
How awesome! We were in Japan around the same time as you guys! Wish we had bumped into you. Great to see how much fun you had. Japan is just wonderful!
This is why you guys gotta come to the Texas State Fair. We have a store called Teso Life that carries similar Disney blind boxes and Harry Potter ones too!
We shipped our luggage from Kyoto to Disney and just had an overnight bag for Universal. They were surprised that Canada doesn’t offer a similar quick service. One reason might be is that Japan is 3.8% the size of Canada (or the USA)! Also Peter, Fanta Melon for the win!
I am really enjoying the Tokyo series, I’m hoping to go there sometime next year and your videos have really helped. So much to see and do while there, thanks for the great videos.
The male cast member in the restaurant said someone’s name and “happy birthday” haha. And yasssss Japanese curry is best curry! I think that weird Mickey-shaped snack in the combini was cheese? At least it said it was cheese on the packaging. And I feel the same way about cute mystery boxes, Kitra. So adorable and I want to collect them all! But do I need them or have space for them? Absolutely not haha.

Thanks so much! Sorry about the ads, UA-cam now determines them.
I can't wait to visit Tokyo Disney. It's the closest resort to my home. I still can't afford to travel yet, but hopefully that will happen one day soon.
Hope you get there someday
It brought me back my good memories there 😊
Thanks so much
Kitra's Mickey impression at 13:15 was so good 😂
Ha thanks 😊
Absolutely beautiful hotel! That's where I'm staying if I ever go. The clapping part was genuinely hilarious 😂
Haha
Really great job on your sponsor ad. I loved it 🥰
Yay! Thank you!
WOW!!! That hotel is the cats pajamas. AMAZING!
🙌
New subscriber to the channel, really enjoying watching this series…don’t tell my little one I’m watching this one without her 😄
Thanks haha
I absolutely love your videos and it's so cool to get to see Tokyo Disneyland through your eyes as it'll be a long while before I get to go. BUT: I have never felt so British as when you called the kettle the 'hot water maker' 😧
Haha sometimes I blank on what something should be called 😂 I don’t ever use a kettle so I totally spaced out
@@OrdinaryAdventures Ha ha it's all good, I've certainly had my own mind farts, but still definitely left me clutching my very British pearls 🤣
As someone who doesn’t like seafood I disagree haha
Sorry if I missed it but will you guys be sharing how you planned your Japan trip. My Family and I are wanting to plan a trip to Japan but I don't know where to start. Would love to see how you guys planned it. Great Japan video's. You guys are the best!
We will be making a video at the conclusion of the series talking about it
Those Pooh and Mickey treats at 30:45 were cheese. Yum! My go-to at Japanese conbini are the onigiri you see in the triangular shapes at 30:25. So many varieties to choose from with fish, fried chicken, tuna, so many!
👍
The scrambled eggs and rice pilaf thing you mentioned was actually OMU-RICE, basically Ketchup Fried Rice and you're supposed to put the egg on top.
👍 I’m learning a lot
The merch at Tokyo Disney is next level
🙌
17:09 You forgot to show that the bottom of the slippers have "Andy" written on them, a very fun detail!
🤦♂️ we didn’t realize until after
Happy Birthday Walt Disney!
Happy birthday Walt
This series is really making me want to go!
🙌
Obviously binge watching videos and this one ooooo so good!!! Toy Story is my favorite OG movie of all time so this was amazing to watch! I was geeking out just as much as Kitra the whole entire time. I’ll never get to experience things like this so I’m glad that you do such a good job at making me feel like I was right there with you throughout the whole video 👏🏻🤩
❤️
Whoot! Whoot! Needed an ordinary adventure this morning. Thanks so much for sharing. ❤❤

Hope you enjoyed it!
Oh ARIGATO for this video! We’re going to the Toy Story hotel in Feb, and I was on the fence about it! Great info!
Glad it was helpful! Have fun!
Hi Kitra & Peter, thank you for sharing your experience in Disneyland in Japan 🇯🇵. I really enjoyed your editing and illustrates on this channel. Merry Christmas 🎄
Thanks so much! 😊
@@OrdinaryAdventures U welcome!🤗
Living for each and every Japan focused video - this series has been amazing!! Thank you for sharing your journey. I’ve been eagerly taking notes for when I go!
😁 you’ll love it
How awesome! We were in Japan around the same time as you guys! Wish we had bumped into you. Great to see how much fun you had. Japan is just wonderful!
Yes it was!
The Hotel looks Awesome
It is
This is why you guys gotta come to the Texas State Fair. We have a store called Teso Life that carries similar Disney blind boxes and Harry Potter ones too!
Sounds cool!
🙌
Loved staying at this hotel. This video brought back some good memories. We did the breakfast at the lotso restaurant and I was impressed.
What’s better the breakfast or dinner?
@@OrdinaryAdventures I preferred the breakfast but I’m a brunch kind of girl.
At around 28:00, they were celebrating someone's birthday (in Japanese). At 30:40, that is cheese, not butter.
🎂
Great video, you two! This makes me want to visit Disney Sea in February.
Have fun!
This hotel has greatly exceeded my expectations.
Same
okay just saw the intro and I am already wanting to come over to do all of this
🙌
I am really enjoying the Tokyo series, I’m hoping to go there sometime next year and your videos have really helped. So much to see and do while there, thanks for the great videos.
Have fun!
I adore everything Toy Story! Such a nice hotel for being moderately priced!
👍
So much better than the WDW hotels that have changed to the all white hospital look.
Hate that
The male cast member in the restaurant said someone’s name and “happy birthday” haha.
Cheese makes way more sense than butter haha
@@OrdinaryAdventures knowing Japan, they probably have Mickey-shaped butter somewhere too! lol
What a cute place. Very nice video. Great info. Thanks and take care.
Thank you
This hotel room is fantastic. Want to visit Tokyo Disney so much.
Make it happen
..Was waiting for this videos 😍😍😍😍
Thank you guys !
Wanna like it 100 times
🙌 thank you so much
Kitra your courtesy clapping cracked me up 😄
Haha
