not seen a map that uses height so well. the sand must have gotten everywhere though lol.
I'd Hoover it up with one of those mini Hoover's lol but yeah the height and scale is just incredible and the attention to detail as well is second to none
@@matthewhoward4998 Hoover up the mat and hit all of the models/terrain with a pass of the compressor blow nozzle. That's dedication though, thank you to SS82 and Josh for going that extra mile to make a killer batrep.

its gotta be such a pain to clean it up afterwards, dose he have any trick to clean it up without making a mess or are you just careful?

I was just discussing how much I want to do an Iron Hands army with a friend last night. And now with Contrast paints coming out, I am pushed harder towards it. So thanks for showing off this army!
Great game, so close for so long. Two great looking armies slugging it out on another well done table. Superb play tying down the Iron Hands heavy shooting for much of the game. Too much split firing from the knight, need to delete whole units of necrons otherwise they stand back up.

Excellent game and report. And very interesting to see Necrons play to their strenght and overwhelm the enemy in the battle of attrition with their reanimation protocols. People whine a lot how this supposedly is not really worth it, but when well played, like here, with units retreating to repair themselves and come at the enemy at a later stage, it's a very strong ability.

Just curios by I didn't see you rolling a 4+ for lightning field on the marines and razorback after the charge. That could haven another dead marine!

One mistake @ 38:45. Cryptek with cloak does not add 1d3 wounds after living metal effect. Its adds 1d3 instead of living metal effect. The two do not stack.

Sand at that extra touch to the battlefield terrain, but how much of a pain in the backside was it to clean up? Or was it quite easy?

P.S. On turn 3, then the Knight fights the Temun-Ra, I think you can use quantum shielding to try to block that 3 damage. It doesn't say in describing it is not working on fight phase.

What army is that to the right? I can see a necrosphinx from the tomb kings but there are other units there that don't appear in their roster, is there a 40k equivalent of the tomb kings?
That's Thousand Sons army, he counts the necrosphinx as daemon prince of Tzeentch.

Saying this early on in the video as he said it showing his army, iron hands dreadnoughts DO get the 6+ fnp too though if he does use it throughout the game then meh.
So glad I chose to do a primaris iron hands army it was one of the least seen armies now it's getting some love!!

No one runs the Necron Lord. I swear by his re-rolls for wounds. It’s really helps them, specifically when using Immortals
It's probably cuz getting a non-finecast model is such a pain.

Why is everyone all of a sudden use IH CT? TTtactic, Winters, and now SS. Finaly my fav chapter sees some use.

OK, I know this is not a tournament game. Appears a lot of the models don't have at least 3 colors in their pain scheme. I've seen this on other channels as well. Is this just the trend now in 40K? The models still look cool, I'm just wondering.

Glorious brutality. Seems the IH's have yet another to hate the necrons.lol I hate Destroyers, you absolutely have to wipe them out asap. Leave even one of them alive and it's gonna be trouble.

Placing expensive long range lascannon infantry in plain sight to get destroyed and losing on the first turn. Well played.
remember that you still have to reroll the 2s to hit with the destroyers even after they have received 'wave of command' or 'my will be done'. rerolls before modifiers.

You can't screen, but you can block LoS

I thought you couldn't run Allies in a standard matched play game? (referring to the knight, not the assassins)
You can, they just have to be in their own detachment, and that detachment has to be an auxilary support detachment

I'm having a hard time putting my finger on why, but that SM list looks very un-fun to play against. Maybe because it seems too try-hard?
Yeah, it seems to be a rather competitive list minus one aspect. He ran them as Iron Hands. In my experience, a 6+ FNP is practically useless. It doesn't proc nearly as often as is helpful. Compared to the Raven Guard trait that's -1 to hit outside of 12" especially with consideration of the new Bolter rule. Ultramarines are good of you need to counter melee with their being able to fall back and shoot. Salamanders being able to reroll a die, even if only once, seems more useful that the 6+ FNP.
I love the Iron Hands. My favourite legion of the bunch. They just don't feel very competitive. I'll concede that it could very well just be my shit luck, so there's that.

I love your battlefields and narrative but I'll never understand your obsessive use of CP rerolls on saving rolls.
Sorry to be that guy I'm sure you know by now since its been 5 months since you posted this and you said it was a new list but your Cryptek with Canoptek cloak Heals D3 wounds on vehicles Instead of Living metal not in addition to it so sadly your ghost ark would've been dead in the second turn as it would've only healed 2+1 on your turn bringing it to 3 left instead of 4...

He needs to be utilizing tesla more especially if hes going to keep playing Mephrit. If you get within half range that's a lot of shots at -1 ap! Does really well against hoards! Also he needs to start using the ghost ark as a doomsday ark. I love striking scorpion though!
I think you have quantum shielding wrong buddy, needs to be less than the damage not equal or less.
They clearly said it in the video, not sure how you missed it. He played Quantum Deflection, which is a -1 to the Quantum Shielding roll. Might wanna pay attention to the battle.
@@forgedwarrior20 natural 1's is still a fail though so can't block damage 1
In the new big FAQ they said QS can stop damage of 1 on a roll of 1 if the strat was being used.
Quantum Deflection is a broken rule imo, should be once it fails it doesn’t work anymore like that Drukhari special armor save. Good game though.
i don't like 8th edition... i only play 5th edition games with my friends, i have more fun this way, nice game tho.
