Is because Vergil KNEW he got a son, but he didnt know THAT SON WAS ACTUALLY Nero. Hes surprise because Dante find his son and put him into his mess. I love that double punch Vergil and Dante give Nero. It’s the perfect show that despite their rivalry and fighting when they work together they’re on the same mindset. So much they can do things together without muttering a single word.

If Nero was able to stop Dante and Vergil in their Sin Devil Trigger forms, at the same time I might add, he's at least stronger than one of them, and considering that Vergil was weak due to getting beat by Nero, and Dante was weak due to getting slapped so hard he got sent flying, I'm pretty sure Nero could kill them both right there.

Dante and vergil then fought each other to a stand still and Dante got slapped which was a sucker punch which dante was not guarding against by nero. Not to say Nero doesn't even have sin devil trigger like the other two. On the other we could argue that vergil was tired as well due to all the transformations he had and the fight he had with dante. No nero aint more stronger buddy
@@Samconery Everything you just said is just an assumption, especially Vergil, saying he was tired due to his transformations is stupid, the guy's stronger than he ever was before, and Vergil tells Dante to regain his strength and heal his wounds before fighting him, Dante does, they fight, and even though Nero doesn't have a Sin Devil Trigger, he still stopped both of theirs at the same time with what seemed to be zero effort. Again! Vergil straight up admits he lost before jumping off the tree. I'm not saying Nero could take on both Dante and Vergil at their max, but he could definitely beat one of them, and when Dante and Vergil send Nero flying, they're both weak because Nero beat the crap out of them, Nero on the other hand is perfectly fine, he absolutely could've killed them.
I just love how these two complete each other in their own way... Vergil makes Dante get down to earth, and Dante makes Vergil take things more lightly.

At this point it's less about trying to kill each other and more about passing time. They don't really having anything else to do there, so they fight any demons on the way. And if there are no demons, they fight each other.
I was expecting tragedy. Dante dying, Nero dying, Lady? Trish? SOMEONE dying. But nope. It ends with the torch being fully passed to Nero and his crew. The story of the Sons of Sparda is over. But that doesn't necessarily mean THEY won't ever come back.
This is why I love this ending. Nobody had to die AND we got a satisfying and rather fitting end to the Sons of Sparda storyline. Side note:- Nero jumping in and stopping Dante and Vergil is my favourite scene here. All 3 DTs and that epic music.....damn it's just too much.
Omg has anyone noticed at 10:35 when Nero says "Dante is not going to die here." And Vergil has this look on his face...but then Nero says "and neither are you." And if you look closely Vergil does a slight nod :D finally someone cares about him lol

Story Ends with: Lady and Trish working together Nero and Nico traveling together Dante and Vergil fighting together A healthy reminder that siblings extend beyond having the same blood.
I like that line from Vergil, because it holds 2 informations about him: 1. he considers Nero worth it as an opponent - 2. he can playing tough all he wants, he is still a child trying to find excuse for a fight And I'm not even saying that in a joking manner. I like that aspect of his character. I bet all the time they will spend in Hell together will finally allow them to settle the misunderstandings and have them become full-time children playing with evil toys -- just like they are in that ending.

I think through V's experience Vergil learned alot about humanity and in what ways he and Dante are different. He also seems to be extremely proud of how strong Nero is. I'm super excited to see how they do him in the next game!

We got the "real" Vergil through him, the one that is tortured by his past without the pride that his demonic OPness brings, the thing that makes him think power is everything. If it wasn't for the demonic power, I'm sure Vergil in DMC3 would have acted more like V. About next game's Vergil, I think it would be finally time to have him as a full-blown character and not just your broken secret/DLC character, rather someone that has to LEARN new tricks. I think his self from DMC3 had access to more than the Yamato?... I'd like something like that, him trying to be more like Dante : both giving his vision of how to use Devil Arms, and try to have kid-like fun fighting demons (could lead to some humorous dialogues too lol "Having fun, bro?" @Goldlink Technically he did what he wanted to do, yeah they're fighting, but just to pass the time and keep score, they're not trying to actually kill each other anymore.
The problem with this is it is extremely resource exhausting and time consuming. A simple remaster is one thing, but a full remake with the new engine would take a lot of time and work. You’re basically asking everyone from the dmc 5 team to drop everything and work on remakes for old dmc games. It’s just not practical. What really hard for fans to see is that game developers just can’t make every game we want them to. Just in the case of dmc 5 itsuno was given a choice between it and dragons dogma too. Now it’s possible that we do see dmc remakes on the new engine and it’s something I would love (dmc 1 remade would be really nice. They could touch up the story, greatly improve the gameplay, and make it more of a “dmc game” since it still has RE feels). The problem is if that does happen it becomes dmc 6 vs dmc 1 remake. Not gonna like I’ll take a new installment over a remake any day.

Vergil is starting to talk like a normal person instead of a prince in the end lol, that's what happens when you are stuck with dante in hell forever i guess.
Interesting theory, is the only way to justify vergil's new way of talking, we are actually watching them after fighting for a very long time, so much that dante's personality is sticking a little to vergil's behaviour.
He didn't object when dante wanted to go with him. And dante is even more at ease and sound more alive than before being with Vergil at the end. Those two do care about each other despite their eternal rivalry. Also Vergil's human side 'V' said to nero that all he ever wanted was to be loved and protected.
So let me get this straight. Since Dante and Vergil can't outright kill each other because of their healing and regeneration, the loser in their battles is whoever takes a knee first? I'm good with that. lol
Dante escaped hell after the end of DMC2 by stepping through a random portal that appeared and Vergil escaped hell both with and without Yamato. Trish and Lady clearly aren’t concerned even if Nero is missing his newfound family. The sons of Sparda will be fine and back in the human world soon enough.

I love how dante and Vergil fight to the death all because they want a tie breaker and Vergil went from the collected demon to "where did you learn to count? We are even"
"Its because you're here we can go. We're trusting you with things on this end..." "I won't lose next time. Hold on to that until then." The perfect way for each of the brothers to say goodbye to Nero. Dante reinforces that no, he doesn't see Nero as dead weight, he respects his power and resolve and is proud of him for how far hes come since DMC 4, hes the successor for the Legendary Devil Hunter, and a right hand man he can always count on. Vergil has never been a part of his son's life, and the first time they meet isn't exactly on good terms, but Vergil has seen the errors of his ways. What's the point in having power if you've no one around you to care for, to protect? Strength is a choice, fighting like hell to protect what matters. He understands that now, and hes here to rectify his mistakes. His words here promise Nero "we'll meet again." He directly implies that he's coming back some time, but he needs to rebuild his relationship with his brother first... Which is why they both neglect to tell Nero that they aren't trapped in the demon realm, and can use Yamato to leave at *literally any time.* They just like fighting demons, and eachother. Besides "This place was our fathers home..."
I think they made up this time. Like how they turned fighting a game by giving each other scores and having childish sibling parleys no matter how much old they grew. And they made fighting their only way of communication. The ending symbolizes that slaying demons and fighting Vergil is Dante's destiny and it'll never change. They can easily come back from hell if they want. There will be an expansion to this, I wager
Realisticly Dante and Vergil are both equals, one day Dante wins, while in another day Vergil wins, it just like Naruto and Sasuke but with the power scales of Goku and Vegeta.
I think the ending is underrated, when Dante says "keep an eye on Vergil" i think he means to keep him safe.. Vergil bit more than he could chew before and i think since Dante already got stuck in the demon realm once.. he wanted to make sure he doesn't lose his brother again since he did regret it allot when losing him in Devil may cry 3, as seen they do protect each other even if they have their differences .. these games are said to not be the strongest story wise but i think some people should give them more credit
I did as well, yet I’ve seen 2 more videos that popped up randomly on my feed that reveal some more shit I didn’t want to know. This fucker is super inconsiderate. I think this is the same guy who spoiled something in God of War for me.
This is the last of the Sons of Sparda franchise not the last DMC game. Itsuno said that this game also served to present us with peak Nero, now he is powerful enough to hold his own against every asshole thinking he can rule now that Dante is trapped in hell.
I teared up playing this. When the Sparda twins say goodbye to Nero it feels like they're also talking to us as the audience, this bitter-sweet ending is the perfect way to end this iconic franchise
I love Nero to death and his transformation is literally probably my favorite transformation in gaming, but this is too accurate: Vergil: “We have the perfect stereotypical team now. I am the fast smart one, and Dante is the strong one....” Nero: “wait? Then what am I?” Vergil: “isn’t it obvious?..... you are the Asspull” Nero: “oh......oh shit I am.... aren’t I?”

That's not what an asspull is at all Nero doesn't learn how to use DT until he realizes his father is half demon and until he has the drive necessary to achieve it That's the exact opposite of an asspull

Dante and Vergil are basically like Goku and Vegeta. One is good and one is bad (not totally) Eternal rivals but allied as well Both live for fighting and never get sick of it like sayans, as you can see in this ending Plus Goku dresses red and Vegeta dresses blue!

I was expecting tragedy. Dante dying, Nero dying, Lady? Trish? SOMEONE dying.
But nope. It ends with the torch being fully passed to Nero and his crew.
The story of the Sons of Sparda is over. But that doesn't necessarily mean THEY won't ever come back.
This is why I love this ending. Nobody had to die AND we got a satisfying and rather fitting end to the Sons of Sparda storyline.
Side note:- Nero jumping in and stopping Dante and Vergil is my favourite scene here. All 3 DTs and that epic music.....damn it's just too much.
To be fair, being trapped in hell is pretty much like dying. Being trapped in hell is sort of what happens when people die (at least bad people).

I like that line from Vergil, because it holds 2 informations about him: 1. he considers Nero worth it as an opponent - 2. he can playing tough all he wants, he is still a child trying to find excuse for a fight

I think through V's experience Vergil learned alot about humanity and in what ways he and Dante are different. He also seems to be extremely proud of how strong Nero is. I'm super excited to see how they do him in the next game!

I think his self from DMC3 had access to more than the Yamato?... I'd like something like that, him trying to be more like Dante : both giving his vision of how to use Devil Arms, and try to have kid-like fun fighting demons (could lead to some humorous dialogues too lol "Having fun, bro?" The problem with this is it is extremely resource exhausting and time consuming. A simple remaster is one thing, but a full remake with the new engine would take a lot of time and work. You’re basically asking everyone from the dmc 5 team to drop everything and work on remakes for old dmc games. It’s just not practical. What really hard for fans to see is that game developers just can’t make every game we want them to. Just in the case of dmc 5 itsuno was given a choice between it and dragons dogma too. Now it’s possible that we do see dmc remakes on the new engine and it’s something I would love (dmc 1 remade would be really nice. They could touch up the story, greatly improve the gameplay, and make it more of a “dmc game” since it still has RE feels). The problem is if that does happen it becomes dmc 6 vs dmc 1 remake. Not gonna like I’ll take a new installment over a remake any day.

Trish and Lady clearly aren’t concerned even if Nero is missing his newfound family. The sons of Sparda will be fine and back in the human world soon enough.

Vergil has never been a part of his son's life, and the first time they meet isn't exactly on good terms, but Vergil has seen the errors of his ways. What's the point in having power if you've no one around you to care for, to protect? Strength is a choice, fighting like hell to protect what matters. He understands that now, and hes here to rectify his mistakes. His words here promise Nero "we'll meet again." He directly implies that he's coming back some time, but he needs to rebuild his relationship with his brother first...
Which is why they both neglect to tell Nero that they aren't trapped in the demon realm, and can use Yamato to leave at *literally any time.* They just like fighting demons, and eachother. Besides

The fact that Dante is actually watching this father/son brawl from right behind where Nero starts the mission gives me chills
Realisticly Dante and Vergil are both equals, one day Dante wins, while in another day Vergil wins, it just like Naruto and Sasuke but with the power scales of Goku and Vegeta.

I think the ending is underrated, when Dante says "keep an eye on Vergil" i think he means to keep him safe.. Vergil bit more than he could chew before and i think since Dante already got stuck in the demon realm once.. he wanted to make sure he doesn't lose his brother again since he did regret it allot when losing him in Devil may cry 3, as seen they do protect each other even if they have their differences .. these games are said to not be the strongest story wise but i think some people should give them more credit
