Anytime I watch Mr. Reeve, whether in an interview or in a role, I feel like I am seeing one of God’s most wonderful creations. What a talented actor, dedicated humanitarian, and brave man. My generation was blessed to grow up watching his work. Thank you Christopher for your humanitarian and artistic legacy, RIP 🙏♥️.

I first got a crush on him after seeing Superman II. The romance with Lois-- even giving up his powers for her-- was wonderfully romantic.
I went to see the first Star Wars three times in the theatre, but I saw Superman II four times on the big screen. I would have lived in that theatre if I could.
And when he was in Somewhere in Time... Good Lord, it was amazing.
Jane Seymour, his female costar, later said that of all the men she had ever kissed on film (and having been a leading lady in several romantic roles, she had kissed quite a few), Reeve was the most romantic kisser of them all.

The scene in the junkyard with evil Superman was quite possibly the best Superman scene ever put to film. It alone was worth the price of admission and more than makes up for the flaws that this film has. Compared to Quest for Peace-----it's on par with the first one. Here is what I have found on Wiki:
In 1983, following the mixed-to-negative reaction to Superman III, Reeve and the producers, Alexander Salkind and his son Ilya, assumed that the Superman films had run their course. Reeve was slated to make a cameo in 1984's Supergirl but was unavailable; that film was a box-office failure. Two years later, Ilya Salkind sold the Superman franchise to Golan and Globus of Cannon Films.
According to Jon Cryer, who played Luthor's nephew Lenny, Reeve had
taken him aside just before the release and told him it was going to be
"terrible". Although Cryer enjoyed working with Reeve and Hackman, Cryer
claimed that Cannon ran out of money during the production and
      ultimately released an unfinished film.

Yes, he totally looked just like this wonderful and gorgeous actor of all time, and in the whole wide world!!! The only difference was that this guy's hair color and eye color were different from Chris's gorgeous blue-eyes, and dark brown hair. Ok, this gorgeous guy that I went to high school with, and had the BIG crush on his name is Gary Baucum, and Gary's hair color was a light brown near blondish almost, and his eyes are the color of green-blue, and as you know Chris Reeve's eyes were sky-blue...:D but as I can tell ya' Gary was the most gorgeous guy I have ever met or have seen on this earth or planet besides Christopher Reeve!!! And Gary also always wore his hair style in the same form and fashion that Chris Reeve wore his hair with some bangs, and then a part on one side of his head, and then some more bangs on the other side of his head, and in the back it was just worn straight down.....When I was in high school I've always had dreams and hopes of going out with or having a boyfriend with the face of Christopher Reeve's looks or face!!! But never had the chance to.:(....Well, I'm so sorry for such a long message but I just had to share it all with you that's all....Please let me know what you think about all of this??? Looking forward to hearing from you again soon!!!

I would love to know what exactly happened between Christopher Reeve and Richard Pryor. I have seen interviews with both where they talked very highly of one another, and said that they enjoyed working with each other. Then a few interviews after that, they are both saying that they didn't like one another and that the other was very difficult to work with.

My best guess is sometime around June of 1983. He's promoting Superman III and that's when the movie was released.

bh617 It’s much more appealing on him than the slicked down black hair he had in the Superman films; I guess that they had to stay true to the comic books.

@@bookwoman53 Yep. Unbeknownst to me until fairly recently, he wore wigs as Superman and Clark Kent in each of the four films. There may some instances in the first film in which it's his own hair dyed, but most of what we see on film is a wig.
