Wow Sarah you look amazing I loved your portrayal of Ursa that line "Look they need machines to fly" and Terrence Stamp's reply "What bravery, be nice to them my dear, blow them a kiss ! Fantastic. Christopher Reeve will always be the best Superman Imo. I was born 1973 and will never forget going to the cinema with My Father to watch Superman the movie after seeing that movie I was hooked also watched Superman II and Superman III at the cinema too. They really did make you believe a man could fly or in you case a woman fly. Thanks for the happy memories Sarah x
Its funny when you remember the villainess roles she played, but realize how much of a sweet lady she is in real life. No wonder she , Terrence Stamp, and Jack O'Halloran worked well together. They were truly great actors giving great performances. Thank you for this video Ms. Douglas.
You scared me as a child cos you looked so coldhearted and villainous. This all just means you are a great and talented actress who is a real sweet person from hearing you talk. Thank you for making one of my childhood movies such an awesome experience.
She gave a chilling performance in "Conan The Destroyer" - she couldn't be more the opposite of that character, but I've found that the people who play villains/weirdos in movies are usually the nicest people in real life, while man actors/actresses who always play the hero can be primadonnas.
Thankyou for being a great friend to the family, you gave me the best memory as a kid going to the cinema to see you,you were amazing as one of the baddies, till this day it is probably the best memory I have as a kid at the cinema you owned that film you are a legend in my memory thankyou for that x
His performance in Somewhere in time is always my favourite, despite being a Superman fan. And yourself a fan of your work on V and The Professionals etc. ❤
Lovely Lady - had the pleasure of meeting her at an ‘Autographica’ event about a decade back. So full of energy, tried to make everyone at ease and just so down to earth. An 80’s crush even if I didn’t realise it at the time 😂
Thanks Mrs. Douglas for made me happy on my childhood, despite you scared me a lot!!! 😃 😃 I was afraid of you. 😊😅 Ursa!!! Saludos 🇨🇷 desde CR. Huge fan!! Good to see you again.
Thank you Sarah for a lovely video, God Bless you, your family and of course the definitive Super/Man and my hero growing up Mr Christopher Reeves. A true loss to the world, God Bless and best wishes to his family. He is missed.
Wonderful heartfelt review and personal story Sarah. (Would have loved to see security in the Planet building panic when they realised Ursa was back 🙂)
Thank you for this beautiful review. I was 14 when the first Superman came out, and 18 when Superman 2 came out. I loved Ursa, especially when she blew that helicopter out of the sky, and burned that snake 🐍 with her x ray vision. Christopher was an amazing human being and the world is not the same without him.
Thank you, Sarah, I will blow them a kiss for you! I will get that documentary when released hopefully on blu ray for my collection to go with the rest of my collection and my Chris doll and book he wrote. Ursa will always be one of the best villains in the trifecta of Superman movies with Zod and Non.
I can’t wait to see this movie. I loved your performance in superman 2 which is and will always be my favourite superman movie not to mention that it was the first superman movie I saw in the theatre, it was a great theatrical experience. You’ve never been to the daily planet building? Didn’t you thrash it in part two? lol. I’m proud to say that I have superman 2 on 4K blu ray. Keep up the great work.
This is absolutely lovely, Sarah!!! Thank you for sharing it with us!!! The photos of Christopher and Robin Williams together made me cry. Robin was utterly heartbroken when Christopher passed away. Now they're together again in spirit. God grant them peace! ❤ Also, a Happy Birthday to your Mom, in spirit. May she and your Grandmother rest in the peace of Christ! ❤️
Good on you Sara back in 1978 and 1980 Superman the movie and Superman 2 just great on the ABC cinema in Liverpool city centre . Later on in 1980 Somewhere in time was released it came out of the blue and Christopher Reeve is outstanding in it . Best.
Thanks so much for sharing this, Sarah. I'm so pleased that you go to go to the documentary premiere and had a good time. I'm looking forward to seeing it myself, here in Sheffield.
This is awesome. You look great, Sarah, and what an experience this must've been. Thank you for sharing and thank you for continuing to be an ambassador for the greatest Superman films. ❤
What a wonderful tribute to Christopher, his family and the following charity work, lovely to see Robin Williams too. My goodness, Sarah, your role as Ursa....whoa, you were my boyhood crush! Then again, I loved Jane Badler as Diana in V (which you also starred in of course) guess my boyhood thing was strong women (aliens?)! Oh well. You're still utterly beautiful.
The documentary is out in UK in November. I can't wait. I don't usually get teary eyed much but the TRAILER got a couple tears running down my cheeks. Also the excellent 'Superman & Lois' series begins it's fourth and final season next week. Reeve and Hoechlin are my fave Superman actors. Reeve is of course the gold standard and benchmark. Hoechlin does great as 'Superdad'. :) Glad you had a great time at the premiere. And your comments about Dana at the end there. She really was an amazing woman. Christopher was a strong man himself but she was a huge source (I guess like Superman and the sun, Dana was Christopher's sun) of the much needed extra strength after that accident. If only we could all find love like that.
Thank you so much for the video, just want to say you created one of the most iconic villains in comic book history in Ursa , I adored you in that role , such a wonderful performance.
You look great Sarah. I'm glad I met you at the comic con in 2001, at a photo signing table. I had on shirt, yellow color, with a Siberian tiger, Chinese lettering on the right side. We had talk for awhile.
Thank you for thr lovely message Sarah and for sharing your story about your grandmother. I definitely agree, always show those you love your best which I do although I do not have neighbours I could love easily haha. Take care and thank you for inspiring all these years.
Hello Miss Douglas, I was 6 when I watched Superman in 1978; 8 when I saw 2; these past couple of years I have watched both films back to back a lot. Because of these films, because of "Star Wars" and "Star Trek," and later, "The X-Files," inspired me to be a screenwriter. I never collected comic books; but comic book films and sci-fi I have loved as a second topic; film, first. I met several "Star Trek" actors over the years; and "X-Files'" Gillian Anderson on a video chat 4 years ago this month. Miss Anderson helped inspire me to write "Writing To Gillian," and the story is partially set in England. My late parents Bob and Eine met and married in Suffolk; and I have been to London in August 1993. I always had an England connection. Miss Anderson, even though American, had settled in North London since X-Files ended; I read a lot about her. Right now, I live near Boston; but if my screenwriting career takes off, I hope to move to England and live there the rest of my life. The Superman films started the modern comic book film era. You were incredible as Ursa. Disability is not new to me. I had a dear friend who was a QUAD all his life, but that didn't stop him from enjoying life to the fullest. My disability is Bipolar Disorder; I have suffered from 1998 onward. My parents passed away years ago; my father had congestive heart failure, and my mother had FTD and cancer. Three years ago, I was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. Thankfully, I was cured of it. Comic Book Films and Sci-Fi will always be my second love.... Cheers - Markus McLaughlin, Marlborough, Massachusetts. davisroadproductions.net
I literally just found your UA-cam, I'm a huge fan of your work on Superman it's so kind of you talk about the foundation it's really amazing ! From now on I'll be watching your videos here massively thank you for every single work you've done we wish you could visit Brazil some time cheers
OH my godddd!!!!!! I dont wanna sound creepy, but how on earth do you look so young still!????? oh my word... I love the superman movies, and i recognised you instantly, i can still hear you now in my head calling superman!!! and also when lois lane said you were a real pain in the neck and then slapped you!! I loved that film so much. Much love!!!! I wish you well.xxxx i hope you read this!!
Lovely to see you again, Ms Douglas! You are as beautiful as ever! Are you married? (Lol! Joking, obviously.) We all miss Chris deeply! He was, and still is, Superman, forever!
such true words sarah,no one is immortal ,we are very frail in many ways ,live life to its fullest, and love and care for your loved ones in their time of need,❤😊
To me, Christopher will always be the one true cinema Superman. Brandon Routh did a great job of carrying on Reeves' legacy in Superman Returns. And, of course, Superman II was even better than the original film. You were great in it. Please give my regards to General Zod.
Maybe aside from meeting Annette O' Toole, I think I wouldn't mind meeting Sarah Douglas. I've heard even as an elderly woman she is very charismatic and witty. She was also stunning in her youth before she even made Superman. On the level of a young Joan Collins or Stephanie Beecham. Not that she doesn't seem to be aging gracefully.
I haven’t seen Sarah Douglass since I was in elementary school. Not only is she still beautiful but so nice and positive!
You were awesome in SUPERMAN 2 . ❤
Ursa was one of the first sci-fi villainesses I saw in the cinema when I was a kid and Sarah was beautiful in the role. ❤
What a classy, thoughtful and elegant woman! Sarah, you are a treasure.
I'm impressed that she was invited to the premier despite nearing killing him at the North Pole. What a forgiving family!

Hi Sarah. You were amazing in SUPERMAN II and fond memories of seeing it back in April 1981 at my local ABC
What a nice surprise this video was to pop up in my youtube feed. Sarah you look fantastic, recognised you instantly in the thumbnail.
