Thank you for watching! I apologize for the shaky camera - I had my tripod set up in front of me and didn’t realize that my 9 month pregnant belly kept hitting it while filming 😂
I just bought my first Weeks and have been looking for inspiration on how to use it next year. Your spreads are EXACTLY what I’ve been thinking about doing and seeing them live just confirmed my initial plans. Thank you also for introducing me to the Alastair method, I think it’s gonna be of great use to me.
I think you’re right, the horizontal lines make more sense for your cleaning log 🤗 You’ll (hopefully) have all x’s on the prior months, so it’ll hopefully be easy for you to know what column you’re in.
I really like the use of the Alistair method for cleaning and maintenance tasks. I also hate re-writing the daily stuff! I have used this for habit logging, and that was useful. I had this combo of the a5 Hon and a Weeks for 2024, and I re-ordered the a6 for 2025 for the reasons you got the a6! It's lovely and friendly in page size. I can write small if I have a lot to say, or feel ok writing a few lines a bit larger while skipping a line or two. I am planning to print out some photos to add to the emptier pages soon! After watching this, I am now questioning if I did not want another Weeks for 2025! Yikes! I ended up with a discounted planner that seemed nice to me bc I can keep it open and laying flat, but the Weeks is such a nice size and pleasant paper....
I’m glad to hear the Alastair method works for you, I’m excited to try it out myself! Also love the idea of adding photos to the empty pages 😍 which planner did you get in place of the weeks? I heard the Kinbor is a nice affordable alternative too!
Congratulations on your baby’s arrival! First time viewer, I decided to skip out on hobonichi this year but you did get the two I loved the most. Will follow you use them. I love that you said planners are suppose to work for you and not you for them.
Yay! I've been waiting for this video. 😊 It's very well made. 👏 I actually have the exact same setup for the same reasons. 🤭 I even have the same A6 cover. It's so pretty! 🥰 I'm curious to see how it works for you next year. I also like the Alistair Method that you mentioned. It seems simple yet organized. Maybe I'll try to incorporate that too. 😊 I'm so happy to have found your channel. You seem to have a similar mindset to mine, so I can relate to you and your videos. Also, if your little one has already arrived, congratulations 🥰🎉
Thank you!! My daughter was born Nov 5 so things have been pretty hectic, but we are really enjoying it! I can't wait for both of us to try our setups for 2025 and share how it works out!
I like the horizontal lines in maintenance log. I think if keeping sticky’s or the column for work outs, fits with Alistair method and keeps you tracking/accountable - why not include it 🤷🏻♀️ love your content & honesty.
The paper problem is not regarding the new paper. We had that last year already. The Bleed through predominantly happens in the 5 year journals. A friend of mine has one defective weeks as well (she ordered two and one has bleed through). My A6 and Weeks are good but the 5 Year is horrible. All my fountain pen/ inks causes bleed through😢
Ohh gotcha! I saw some other videos of people comparing the paper in the cousin, so I assumed it was for all the journals. I’ve never used the 5 year, sorry to hear that you’ve had such a bad experience with it! 😭 really wonder why they decided to make this change!
I think the weeks had the old TR paper which had longer drying time. the new paper which cousin had has shorter drying time. because ink dries much quicker on it there is less smudging... I like it too. Even fountain pens dont smudge. But many people dont like it because quick drying characteristics mean there is much less sheening and a little less shading
Yeah that’s so weird since tomoe river paper supposed to be for fountain pens originally! I don’t really use fountain pens at all so it doesn’t matter for me, but I can see how that can be frustrating

Am also definitely inspired to keep a maintenance log!
Omg no way! I’m glad you found it helpful! Can’t wait to see how it works out for us next year! 🥰
New subscriber. I love the spreads youhave made. Great ideas I think I’m going to try myself.
omg, the pen test page is goood idea!!!
Thank you! I’m glad you think so!

@ I got a happy planner and redated it - more for functional planning!

Thank you so much! Also, welcome! I'm curious why you decided to skip out on the hobonichi this year, and what (if any) are you using instead?
Me coming across this video after placing an order for the SAME exact hobonichis!!! twinning!!!
@@arelymendez3243 Omgosh great minds think alike! 🫶🏼

Good point about the sheen and shading, I didn’t know this! But yeah I did notice the cousin has way shorter drying time~
Definitely prefer the new paper for gel and ballpoint pens too! Just not for fountain pens :(

We have the same Hobonichi 2025 planner
Yay! Good choice! 👍🏻
It’s more the 5 years
Ahh I see! That makes more sense!
@@busybeardiaries my cousin for 2025 seems fine, but my 5 year is 😵
