We know RoT Durial is the real Durial because Durial was a officer of a clan called 3v0 X on his main account, then was given the account Azn Boi 763 by an 3v0 X member and so he could continue clanning after he was banned. A bunch of 3v0 X members later joined RoT, including the current leader Mattbrazil and Durial on the Azn Boi account. However, he quit in 2008. RoT is no longer the same clan as it was back then and Mattbrazil is probably the only current member who is old enough to know this to be true. Hope that helps.

tbh, from the perspective of a wow player, i find luring possibly being a bannable offense to be one of the stupidest things in runescape. It makes no sense considering the game is designed with risks/dangers and pking in mind. To me it's equivilent if Blizzard banned players for killing a player who crossed into a contested zone from a friendly zone on a pvp realm. Players should always expect the potential to be attacked, ambushed, and/or killed when they enter into the wilderness in Runescape.. regardless if you are with a friend(s), etc. I futher find the former lurers feeling remorse or appoligetic after the fact to be weird as well.. as that's no different than apologizing for pvp happening on a pvp realm in wow.. it makes zero sense to apologize for something that's apart of the core gameplay...
I think the issue is that new or naive players, that usually don't understand the mechanics entirely, are being tricked into entering PvP areas. The lurers often use slightly glitchy or poorly documented methods to achieve their lures, as well, which makes it s little scummy. I do agree that it shouldn't be outright frowned upon but because lures are often also scams it's a bit of a gray area.

Like helping me farm castle war tickets etc. I actually have a new player right now stringing amulet(u), playing 100gp per strung amulet (all supplies provided). Of course nothing ever came of the reports because I was luring. Just giving new players a chance to earn some gp.

It really bothers me that there's so many people who purposely lure/scam people. People put so much effort into making other people feel bad. I don't know how you could feel good about yourself if you did something like that. How could you spend money that someone else worked so hard to get? Or go on knowing that you probably hurt someone quite a bit. I know this is just a game, but every person you see in the game is a real person with real feelings. If they spent months working on something, only to have it taken away by some horrible person, they're going to be distraught. And it's not like people don't do such disgusting things outside of games too...
