MANGROVE JACK FISHING. BEST EVER SURFACE PRAWN???

Exploring a skinny side creek, fishing surface lures only, looking for Mangrove Jack with a surprise decent sized flathead smashing the surface.
Hey guys, it's not the most productive way to catch a jack using poppers, but definitely the most visual and exciting. You may not catch as many mangrove jacks fishing the surface as you do with diving hard body's and soft plastics, but seeing a jack hit a surface lure has its rewards and becomes addictive. The tide was completely wrong (dead low) to be fishing such a shallow system, but the creek shows a lot of potential for a high tide session. Plenty of small jacks were willing to hit the surface, but no decent sized jacks were found on the low tide but will have another crack on a big tide in the next few weeks.
