glad i saw that video as i am down from the Gold coast QLD and staying at a relatives house in Boronia street Sawtell , and that has gave me the urge to get the rod out tomorrow for the short walk to Bonville
Good stuff, I actually fished there all day today for the first time in ages. Couldn't get a bite all morning on the out going tide but once the tide turned there was lots of flathead on soft plastics. Not big fish, around the 40cm range, but plenty of them. Good luck.
November last yr, a mate n i went for a flick up boambee creek (entered at boat ramp) using some double clutches (pink one, n ghost shad). Got couple of flatties to take home, n one to throw back.. nice 75cm. Though wont be walkin there again... trod on like 5 rays in an hr.

Nice content.
thanks John.
I’m thinking about moving up to Coffs, looks like a good spot to wet a line, and that flattie was a beauty! Hope it made a good dinner!
It has its days, can be hit and miss but lots of areas to explore keeps it interesting.
Nice video mate and some pretty good fish!
Thanks 👍
Love your video mate
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it.

Yeah lots of good flattys up Boambee, gotta watch standing on those rays, the barb on the tail can cut you up pretty good.
Great vid with some nice fish ,got me keen to give Bonville a crack ,its been a while ,cheers Rod👍
Thanks Rod, I hadn't fished it either for years, not sure why, its a nice spot to fish in the kayak. Have never caught a jew in there before.
Nice mate, any plans on going offshore soon, the snapper are on
Hi Wayne, might have to dust off my offshore gear and get out there. Been awhile since I've had an ocean paddle. Might see you out off Arrawarra soon.
How do you catch your live bait.?traps,bait.?
I used a bait trap,
Hey mate where do u launch the yak ?
Easy access at the public boat ramp or you can launch up near the beach just before the headland.
Thanks mate
live bait for sport is so cruel. i understand if you are feeding your family, but for sport? how can you justify that morally?
It's bait. Know your role and shut your mouth
