Driver 2 AltModpack Playthrough on Hard! (REDRIVER 2)

Well there's something different for this channel, for once it's not a speedrun! This is basically a mod made by blackdaddy that changes a whole lot about the game, missions, textures, engine noise etc. It's quite a challenging one but after playing this game a whole lot it's refreshing to play something fully different!

The thing I like about these texture mods is they are made to match the quality of the game. The developers were not trying to make the game something it is not. I really appreciate when they are made to match the game because when mods are made with very high resolution and detail it stands out way to much compared to the low resolution and polygon count of the original environment. And the contrast between the two always end up making the mod look terrible, despite how good it actually is. I see this way to often in the modding scene with other games. The developer did a good job here

Exactly... that was the first thing caught my eyes. And the textures seem so authentic and even more beautiful than the originals.

Man this is so good...
I always feel that lack missions... Like the one after escape Caine and suddenly you are with jones with no cutsceenes or explanations...
And the add like the dawn and dusk in chigago with more hard missions feels so good...

Me and BLACK DADDY don't really know how to script missions. So when a mission has a "steak out" effect for the cops it's because we had to remove the cop update functions to enable cops or increase max number of cops. Also Bus Crush in pre-release doesn't lock you in the bus oops.

i prefer the original engine sounds for the cars, they sound less powerfull.

I did too, hence why when I redid a playthrough of a later version, I didn't use the textures and sound changes

You'll need the base ReDriver 2 from here: github.com/OpenDriver2/REDRIVER2 and from that you can go to BlackDaddy's channel and download the latest version of the modpack, it's simply a drag and drop deal. If you need help installing the ReDriver part, Vortex did a great guide!

There's a link in the description that sends you to the creator's video, the links in there should be included to download the mod
