I saw a meme of someone made of a pikman rapping to this song because of the little squeaky sound lol
In Japan, the number 4 is often considered unlucky. The word for "four" (四) can be pronounced as "shi," which sounds like the word for "death" (死) in Japanese. 444 is like 666 for them... I think.
It's two man band, so yeah, the guy who is rapping is also a singer and the second one is a dj. They be making hits lately, i'm so here for it, god :D
7:08 In Japan, 4 is considered an unlucky number and 4:44am is feared as it is the time of day when ghosts are most likely to be encountered.
Oh, the number 4 can be spoked as "shi" just like "shi" for death too. Ah, it make sense now.
@@BT-to9xv Yes, the number 4 has the same pronunciation as "death" in Japan, so people don't want to use it.
Hmmm, I have a bad feeling about this... I think it's like "summer, Friday, night, 13th" in US... 👻☠️
R-shitei, the silver on his teeth says "otonoke" in Japanese.😂
The lyrics refer to many anime, such as Demon Slayer, JJK, and One Piece. R really enjoys wordplay.
isn't more referred to the Japanese urban legend? Sada-chan (Sadako), Kaya-chan (Kayako), and also 4.44 Am were considered as the time when ghosts, evil spirits got encountered?
@@BT-to9xv The ghost references are definitely the most straightforward meaning. I just wanted to talk about the fun lyrics that anime fans would notice. R is great at rapping with hidden meanings that aren't obvious at first, and that's what makes it so interesting
@@BT-to9xvThis song also explicitly references a lot of shounen manga too:
- Sword fight with Demons: Demon Slayer
- Chainsaw Massacre: Chainsaw Man
- Open Sea: One Piece
- “Sha-la-la”: Naruto (Shippuden Opening 5)
- Purification: Jujutsu Kaisen
And maybe more I missed
You’re essentially correct in your analysis of the lyrics, aside from specific references and cultural ideas you didn’t catch.
As others have pointed out, the lyrics of the rap portion mainly pertains to Japanese folkore and ghost stories-very appropriate given Dandadan’s yokai/alien monsters and horror elements. “Kuwabara” is a superstitious Japanese phrase similar to “knock on wood”, used to ward off lightning; the number 4 is considered an evil number due to sharing the same pronunciation as Death (Shi); Shaku/Sun/Bu are units of measurement, so essentially, there is some kind of evil presence that emerges at 4:44 that is 4/4/4 tall. The theme of “possession”, something “hiding” inside of you, makes a lot of sense since the main character gets possessed by an evil spirit in the story.
The lofi half has much more abstract lyrics about peace and tranquility, growing wings and flying away from darkness. Again, very appropriate, as Dandadan is not just a horror/action shounen, but a coming-of-age romantic comedy as well. The characters have horrible supernatural encounters, but learn to make the best of their lives in spite of it. Hell, for most of them, their lives actually improve once they get cursed or possessed.
"Haireta Haireta Haireta Haireta Haireta" I’m in side
This is a line from a famous Horror stories about mountains on a Japanese BBS
The song mostly refers to Japanese ghost/spirit related stories or folklores
オトノケの歌詞を理解して見くれるの嬉しい!!! Creepy Nutsは素晴らしい物を作り続けるよ😂
So the wheel thing with their faces is called a zoatrope its a super early form of animation. If you’ve watched the second mob psycho opening you have seen one before. There is a video by mothers basement on that op that goes into more detail about them.
I thank you for watching the music video with English lyrics of Otonoke and understanding the lyrics.
I like the lyrics "If there were wings on our backs, now".
It's creepier than Dandadan itself 😂
3:11 I synchronized with him from this 100%😂The chorus of this song feels so rewarding and I don’t want it to end
you should do the same (reacting to the MV and lyrics) with blue box!
The lyrics are reference to Japanese folklore and superstition I don’t remember which ones specifically but I saw a video about it on my shorts feed
People when Bling-bang-bang-born released: Opening of the year!
Creepy nuts: Wanna see us do it again?
You forgot Call of the Night
10:58 I mean I only know one Shyamalan, and that would be M. Night Shyamalan. With them referencing Ringu (Sada-chan = Sadako) and Ju-On (Kaya-chan = Kayako) I wouldn’t be surprised if they are referring to him
風邪ひいて高熱が出たときに見る夢に似ています。
Creepy Nutsに取り憑かれたイメージです🧟
the video is both Creepy and Nuts, Theyre amazing
This music video was so creepy and nuts
WE'RE GONNA DANCE ALL NIGHT ALONG WITH SADAKO AND KAYAKO WITH THIS ONE‼‼🗣🗣
Reminds me a lot of the Cash In, Cash Out video from Pharrell, Tyler and 21.
The mv makes me feel like i'm on an lsd trip
Been loving the reaction ❤
Although its an official lyric video, kind of feel bad for endlish viewer?😅 Aside from the references, it seems some of the asian words just cant be translated (or awkwardly translated)
Under the comment of the lyric video there is a good person explaining some of the confusing part( Like 4 japanese foot 4 japanese sun 4 bu tall), should help you alot understanding the messages the song trying to say.
you can check out the blue box mv easily top op for the year
Apparently the lyrics after the first chorus are from manga serialized in Jump. For example, in order, they are: 1. "Mashle", 2. "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba", 3. "Chainsaw Man", 4. "One Piece", 5. "NARUTO", and 6. "JJK". I was surprised when I found this out.
interesting
Absolutely dope reaction 🔥
Plsss react the creepy nuts nidone song
