  • A short (3 hour) tour of Palia Kameni (the old volcano) and Nea Kameni (the new volcano) in the caldera of Santorini Island.
The nearly barren island of Nea Kameni is visited daily by dozens of tourist boats. Visitors climb a gravel path to reach the top of the 130-meter-high volcanic crater, where you can walk around the rim.
Palea Kameni is a tiny islet of crumbling black, volcanic lava, with a population of wild goats, hens, and rabbits. It’s a popular stop due to its sulfurous hot springs and mud baths, set in a narrow inlet overlooked by whitewashed Saint Nicholas Church.
