Honestly, these what-ifs remind me of actually training your whole squad up rather than just your starter (Goku) and the games legendary (Vegeta the Elite Saiyan Warrior).
Gives the whole anime a much more versatile cast and makes it more interesting.

This proves what I was believing for the longest, that the kaioken *does* have the potential to make even human characters into true badasses. It just takes them a longer time to grind because they don't have the same growth rate as the Saiyans.
Fr bro, the humans might've chosen the class that gets less EXP, but if they grind a bit more I would say they have the potential to kill some bosses.
@@bigpoggers6507 The fucked up part? Saiyans aren't even the best class. Androids, Majins, Destroyers, and Angels all surpass them by a ridiculous margin. 17 trained himself to the point where he could rival Goku at Blue. And even after the fight, Goku claimed 17 was still holding back much of his full power. And keep in mind, 17 & 18's class doesn't get tired. Meaning, that with the right training, they could in theory become the two most unstoppable warriors in U7. And that's not even getting into the ridiculous growth rate of Majins. Toriyama just regularly throws in a bunch of patches to stop them from stealing Goku and Vegeta's thunder.

And then the tournament of power begins. Right from the start, yamcha heads off to fight on his own, since he is a headstrong guy, and he is accidentally killed immediately, within the first 2 minutes.
Then the person who killed him would be eliminated.

I think Cell would still exist in this timeline, but he'd be a bit different than the one we know.
Remember, he's a composite of the DNA of Goku, Vegeta, King Cold, and a few others, including Freeza...who is already dead in this timeline, and never made it to Earth.
While Cell might have the physiology of that species from Cold, Cell would probably not be as strong as in the original, even if he achieved perfection immediately.
Well he's from a timeline where frieza was still alive and ming cold too
He states that Trunk's timeline is constant so Cell is still Cell

No lie, I've been thinking that Gohan should have been killed/gravely hurt by Freeza, not Krillin. It would mean more for Goku. Pretty simple :)
If Gohan is just gravely hurt, he can get the Zenkai boost obviously but dieing could allow him to go to King Kai and train. Either way, Gohan should get hurt, not Krillin.

I'm new here so idk if this has been discussed, but according to the latest manga chapter, Tien is incapable of insulting people.
If cell used cell jr's before he became perfect (like semi perfect cell jr's) the story could have gotten dragged out way more with the side characters also getting to shine a bit

Excellent story. Some thoughts about it:
Cell should be weaker than his canon self, he didn't absorb thousands of humans to become stronger before absorbing the androids.
It's strange that Vegeta didn't challenge Cell when he first appeared.
Kaioshin found very difficult to inmovilize Gohan in canon, however he also could inmovilize this version of Gohan who was at least twice as strong as his canon self at that point.
In canon Buu got split into a good and evil parts because he promised Satan that he wouldn't kill more and his suppresed unleashed the Evil Buu, in this story he didn't have that restrain.
Just write in Cell gaining an equal type of strength in the 10 days before the tour
