  • While Windows Movie Maker was introduced with WinME, it was much improved with its release in Windows XP. There were more transition affects, better timeline organization, and better file organization in general. Also, one could do title cards now, which would become a mainstay of many early UA-cam videos. When browsing early UA-cam, one could easily tell a video that was made in WMM by the use of the title card. While simple, the videos made by WMM had their own charm with them. And for many, WMM was there first introduction to video editing. Was WMM trying to be Final Cut Pro. No. But for basic video editing that didn't need the kitchen sink, WMM got the job done, and it got it done well too! With that mentioned, it does have a habit of crashing a lot, so save your work constantly!
