I have a 5.64 carat blue sapphire (most probably type 2, as no inclusions are visible to the naked eye but definitely has all the required inclusions like cavities, crystals, rutile needles, traces of other mineral etc when seen under the magnifying glass), it has dark navy blue colour, very transparent, has good color zoning etc. Jweller from whom I purchased this gem in 2013 is my trusted relative who informed me that the origin of this gem is from kashmir and its unheated, untreated but the certificate did not mention anything about its origin or treatment. I wanted to know about its actual price and wanted to sell it. I want to have a GIA certificate for this gem so that its actual origin and treatment information could be decoded but I do not know the procedure for the same. I am based in Delhi, India and also reluctant to send this gem to a lab for week or 15 days and pay a heavy amount to get it tested. Please guide me what should I do?
Greetings from Ceylon Gem Connect Thanks for share your knowledge on the blue sapphire. I am very interesting about the prices. I would like to know. Your price you have mention wholesale or retail. Gem apprisal valuation is practical to put the price. Thanks
It depends on proportion of the stone too you can ask help from any jeweler to check the weight for you and give you price idea as stone need to be seen
The fact that Thai businesses come and buy gems from Cambodia Pailin province such Ruby and sapphire. And they give the high price for high quality gems than local buyers.
I believe I have a type 2 royal blue sapphire 0.75 carats. It is set in a palladium band with tiny diamonds in a vine setting on the band. Do you have any idea what an estimate on it would be?
Hello caitlyn thank you for reaching out to us in order to come up with price estimation we need to see a gem and see all other factors such is luster and clarity as well as cut then we can have some idea on price
Ali hopefully you doing good, what mean a logo in a diamond shape inside of the ring and a leter C . And U.? And its mounted in platinum.!! Rounded by small little Diamonds total 33. Thankyou i apreciate your anwser.!! Oh i forget to tell, it has a big Stone blue similar than those you show on your video.
Akmal you can send us email what stone you need in particular I mean color , clarity and size and origin the address will send you some stone to show you with price base on your quality And yes we have delivery to most of the places
It depends on sizes You can find them obviously srilanka , Thailand , Hong Kong or many other places too but widely you can find them in these 3 countries , prices would be slightly different depends on sizes of the stone that you looking for
I have a 78 carats dark blue unheated Sapphire believed to be from Kashmir. I really have no clue about what the market value could be :). Maybe someone can help me?
I guess a Ceylon sapphire of 3.5carat ring with a minor inclusion near its surface at 22k $ is way over priced ... May I ask is it normal to find minor inclusion in a Ceylon Sapphire( as the seller told me it’s normal as it’s a natural gemstone , the more important is it’s color)...
Inclusion in any gemstones are normal to be but value of gemstone go higher if stone is eye clean or even loupe clean (many places they try to convince their customer that included stones are natural and Normal which is true but in fact value of that gemstone it depends on clarity and color and size ) its depends on ring design and where you like to buy the ring .
@@vistley5251 thank you for replying to my question, I appreciate it. the price u mentioned in the video is only for the sapphire stone price ( not design and craft work ) ? So what type of color/clarity shall I looking for for a engagement ring ? ( I would say better than medium quality ) Thank you
@@jjkathair you are welcome :) color of the stone is very depends on each person choice some people like medium some like deep and more rich color but in gemstone if color is more rich value of the that gem would be higher you probably looking for cornflower type color to vivid or maybe not even vivid and what i would like to share with you is that gems is something that you need to like it in first place like the color , luster , size and shape regardless of what seller try to tell you if you like it then go for it of course you dont want to pay over price as well clarity of the gem that you are about to buy need to be at least eye clean if you are looking to buy something for kind of investment and obviously no treatment (it doesnt mean heated stone are not ok )becomes important factor to consider but if its for personal use your choice and price is the most important.
@@vistley5251 that’s very informative and helpful. Do most of ring blue sapphire have been heat treated ? What type of blue is above medium level in Ceylon sapphire please ( for ring )? I know there are cornflower / royal blue/ is there a Ceylon blue ? I am not sure if there is one. And which one would you suggest and the average price for heated one ( I assume the blue sapphire for ring have been heat treated ) , thanks !
@@jjkathair you welcome, not all but many of them yes , no there is no Cylon blue as far as I know , you can consider cornflower as after the setting color can be possibly higher up to 30% (depends on ring design ) and you can get pretty good color after setting , for 3.5 ct nice quality cornflower heated you may pay up to 3000$ per ct and it depends where you buy it from .
thank you for your message , our price guide on our channel is our own personal opinion and its not related to market price I wish I could help you but I dont think me or anyone else can give you price like this without seeing anything so the purpose is not to misguide you, hope you can find some expert near by you that can see and guide you for the price.

not really correct. Per carat price depends on the size of the stone as well. color, clarity, cut all matter but size will also play an important role. This is because bigger stones are hard to come by.
To buy a loose stone you should get it with a real GIA certificate. Prices can be more low to buy it in countries of origine. The only problem will be that the seller can scam you more easely. For investment its always better to buy gold and silver bars. 🤗
Very important thank you. Happy to know about ruby yelllow sapphire also
