- Last October I went on a 3-week road trip around England, Wales and Scotland. This is what I captured on my travels.
Shot on Krasnogorsk-3 using Kodak 250D.
Any enquires please email: owjones2000@gmail.com
Every shot is so gorgeous. Every shot could be a painting. I want prints of every shot inside my house. The sound design is a work of art ALONE. I feel like I'm there. Thank you, THANK YOU.
Thank you, you fine gentleman.
Your works are all beautiful and stunning. Wow.
Omg the sequel to Devon on 16mm I didn't know I needed - stunning once again
Thanks Robin!
I could watch this over and over and over again. Bravo.
Something about this being shot in Great Britain and also on 16mm film made it feel like a Hammer film... I was half expecting Christopher Lee to pop up. Beautiful work!
16mm and 70mm has got to be one of the most beautiful images in film !
Watching once isn’t enough, feel like it needs to be seen on telly to be absorbed properly. Great Job Jonesy. Well spent trip indeed!
Thanks matey!!
Phenomenal.
I gotta admit, film just looks better than digital. Not cleaner, not brighter, just...better. More aesthetically pleasing.
Beautiful work!
Stunning
Bloody stunning. Not to mention the sound design.
Thanks mate!
Breathtaking!
You have an amazing eye for composition.
Really enjoyed this.
These are stunning shots and locations.
This piece of work is absolutely beautiful. Every shot is nothing than perfect. I wish I had more adjectives in mind to describe this piece of work and how it makes me feel. Thanks for sharing Ollie, I mean it!
Thank you Noah I really appreciate it!!
Film is sooo beautiful. 16mm, 35mm. I wish all movies were shot on them.
so good man, very well put together
Impressive and stunning work here
Great shots.. keep the good work going 😊
This is crazy! My dream is to shoot on film. Great job man! Congratulations! Its look like I am watching a great movie from the 60's....keeep it up! Subscribed!
looks like another planet. great stuff
Man I’m loving these videos. 16mm is gorgeous great photography
This is breathtaking
A wee twinge of Skyfall. Half expected to see the DB5 coming in to frame on those country roads. Similar colour grade as well, I think. Nice work.
Amazing footage.
So relaxing ✨
This is amazing.🎥🎞🎬🚀🚀🥁🥁😂😂
Damn it, i love it so much. It reminds me of the traveling sequence from Nosferatu the Vampire by Werner Herzog.
Great work. Every shot is beautiful 👍🏻
beautiful
this is beautiful! thank you for the inspiration 🙏
This is real nice man. I'd love to see that grain in all its glory though.
Beautiful! As a filmmaker used to shooting digitally, I’m seriously considering trying out 16mm (I live in Scotland too, so lots of great subject matter as this video proves!).
Nice work of art....... any advice of how to achive nice sound design ?
love this, brilliantly done!
Man, you can't do this! Keep uploading more content like this! Like buddyg said, every frame is like a paint. Exquisite visual detail. I'm getting one of these cameras!
Immaculate vibe
It feels like I’m watching an old 70s tv documentary
Wow.
This was incredible to watch. So relaxing but equally inspiring. Bravo Ollie Jones!
Subbed!
absolutely love this, beautiful shots!
thank you!
Nice work! Love it!
Your are super talented my friend. The rawness, harshness and barrenness of the landscape you capture really hits somewhere deep within. It makes me embrace being British and the beauty within our incredible and unique landscape. I look forward to seeing more of what you create and share with the world. Kudos.
Also I don't have instagram so I cannot see any more of your work. Have you considered starting a website portfolio where everyone can see your work?
The frame at :42 is unreal. Love this film!
Thank you!!
Just speechless
gorgeous
Another amazing video 👌🏻
Phenomenal!
excellent work - both the picture and the sound, I really liked it. Did you use the standard lens for Kranogorsk-3?
Amazing video!! Is the sound original from the scene or you sound-designed it?
Thank you! It's all sound design :)
love this
Magnifique !
Great work. I wonder which lens you used?
nice
Hi Ollie, this is beautiful. Reminiscent of Jonathan Glaziers Under the Skin for me. Did you use the Meteor 5 -1 lens? Thank you
This footage is exceptional. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a K3 myself. Is there any way to avoid the light flickering effect, or is that just inherent on this model? I've seen it on many 16mm compilations and was wondering if it could be avoided by taping over certain sections of the camera (to avoid light spill).
felt like i was there... is this super or ultra 16
Beauty! Well I guess your K-3 is converted to Super 16. Did it come like this, or did you convert yourself. The results are stunning!
Thanks! Yes it's super 16 converted and I bought it like that :))
@@OllieJones did you have a problem with framing? I heard it’s not accurate with the super 16 modification
So beautiful! If you don't mind my asking -- what did you use to capture sound?
Absoultely amazing work! What camera did you shoot on?
Great shots. The ratio looks like 16:9. Did you scan it for that or is that the full frame. Looks extraordinary.
Thank you! The K3 I used is super 16 converted so it produces an image that is very close to 16:9 but this film is in a 1.66:1 aspect ratio!
Wonderful,I want one..May I ask wher you purchased your excellent k3 good sir? And may I ask what lenses you used..tia.🙂
This is so GORGEOUS, what did you do to capture the audio ?
This is SO beautiful! Thank you for sharing. What is the location at 1.49?!
It's at the Quaraing on the Isle of Skye!
@@juentare1485 Incredible!! Thank you :))
👋
This looks amazing! I'm looking to pick up a 16mm camera soon, would you recommend the Krasnogorsk-3 ?
How much of this is color correction in post? Everything was done with just the K-3 and stock lens? Point and shoot? It's crazy how you can get such insane footage from that machine just by measuring the light and shooting
Do you color your footage?
Stunning work 👀 please stop making me want to shoot 16mm though I'm too poor for that 😅
Hahah thank you! It is definitely an expensive hobby 🤣
What kind of tripod do you use?
This is super 16 kodak stock or 16mm ?
Is this cropped, or super 16?
Is the sound captured on the film aswell?
This is beautiful. What film stock did you use ? How many rolls ?
Thanks! Shot on 5 rolls of kodak 250d!
@@OllieJones wow thats a lot, expensive short clip 😅
@@sebastien3493 it is indeed! 🤣
@@OllieJoneswas this Visio 3? Thanks
Are all of the sound samples captured by yourself or did you use libraries?
All the sounds were from soundsnap.com :)
Hey great shots. Just curious as to whether you simply just ran a sound recorder at the same time of filming?
Thanks! I didn't record any audio, it was all done in post :)
@@OllieJones Good choices on the design definitely
@@OllieJones is this Super16 Gate? Just wondering if there is a vignette on the Meteor on the wide end while looking through the Standard 16 Viewfinder. Or can the vignette only be seen on the film if any?
I've little knowledge of working with 16mm, did you do much to the color from the film?
I didn't do much at all! Just some very basic grading in premiere, added some contrast, saturation and adjusted the exposure a bit.
amazing!!!! what lenses did you used!?
Thank you! I used the standard 17-69mm lens that comes with the K3!
do you have the loop formers in the camera?
what font is your title?
What lenses did you use?
wow ! sound did in post ?
Yeah all sound was done in post :))
@@OllieJones amazing, where dis you fond them ?
@@moha2131 soundsnap.com
Is this modified to super16?
Lush!
This footage is absolutely stunning about beautifully presented. ✨
I just purchased a Bolex H16 and can’t wait to try it out. 🤞
Gorgeous
