Beautiful scenes, beautifully shot. Such a great feeling to this.
Thanks Dave !!
Sometimes I like to comeback to this video just out sheer joy
This is beautiful.
The shot with the boat in the background is just dreamy, I love film I love the colors it pops unlike digital and doesnt need any editing to get it. I have long wanted to get a 16mm camera with sync so i could use my digital audio gear and shoot a film project on it and sync it up. I want to go old school but hipsters fucked the market and now i cant afford it.
This is so nostalgic for a time I never experienced and this film never recorded.
This is such a master piece
something really special about film. thank you for making this
Thanks for watching !
Thanks for sharing. Really excellent views and vistas. I love how film just perfectly balances out lighting and gives natural colors.
one of the best things I've seen in a long time -- unreal piece of art top to bottom, I have a feeling I will be watching this alot for the rest of my life. THANK YOU!!
I love the view... It's so refreshing to be there with a beautiful song.
Many recognizable places that I like.
Such an incredibly calming film.

Gorgeous! Inspiring :)
So beautiful 😍 I always wanted to shoot on film but I'm a bit afraid of the investment (roll films, developing,..). May I ask you how much did you spend (more or less) for this short film (to have an idea)?

Lovely shortfilm, beautiful shot and great composition! Did you shot at 24 fps? How did you scan it? Great job!

👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Beutiful
beautiful shots...did you use a matte box and filters? looks like shots were made around 9am; noontime and late afternoon . Excellent!
Some of the best 16mm footage I've seen on youtube, well done mate!
Truly magical!
The flare at 1:11 is so beautiful, which one of the 3 lenses is it from?
Thank you! That’s the kern vario switar!
Hey, which Bolex camera did you use? I want to buy one and this looks great.
This is a rex3 but you can get great images out of any Bolex Reflex camera with good lenses. The Kern 25mm f1.4 is a good place to start.
This was great! Just curious, where was the shot at 0:30? Seems like a beautiful place
Thank you. That’s Makoshika state park in Montana. Incredible place.
I see you shoot super8 as well. Have you tried 35mm? I just posted some 35mm shot on the Konvas 35mm cine camera.
How does one get this footage sharper without software? Better lens? Better gate? Better scan?
did you film it all by hand or did you have a type of gear that would stabilize it? :)
This is all handheld.
@@RyanNavazio that s amazing! i love your bolex videos so much! always such good frames, music and they are calming.
@@RyanNavazio also is your bolex a non reflex or a reflex? i m consider buying one, but most i see are non reflex (and in a okei price range)
@@Schneeeulenwetter it’s a reflex, I think you can get pretty good results from a non-reflex but I’ve never shot with one myself. The lack of any parallax and better lenses is why I originally bought a reflex Bolex - years ago. They have never been cheap, but definitely more expensive nowadays.
can i recreate this bolexio affecto on a bmpcc
super 16 ? thanks
Standard 16 over-scanned and cropped
@@RyanNavazio thanks Ryan
really really creative and clean! Love this look. I just dropped a short film and would love for you to check it out and leave your thoughts! keep up the great films!
super 16? @ryanNavazio
Regular 16
@@RyanNavazio how'd you get that wide aspect ratio with reg 16?
doesn't look like the 4:3 I'm used to for some reason
@@moonrunmusic9052 it’s over scanned and cropped
For sure- any exposure advice with landscapes like this? I’ve been overexposing and bringing the colors back in davinci but haven’t gotten the looks I want quite dialed
