Tabletop Session No.5 - Schäfer (Roland Juno-60 & Space Echo RE-201)

This Jam Session is losely based on one of my favourite songs of all time: Radiohead’s „Everything In Its Right Place“. The Roland Juno-60 was run through a Roland Space Echo RE-201 tape echo. The VCF was modulated with up to four different CV Sources (Sample&Hold, LFO, positive envelope and negative „ducking“ envelope).

Great sound and composition! Do you use an analog tape delay there?

Yes that's a proper tape echo. You can see the tape loop moving slowly behind the plastic cover. I really like the sound of it but one very nifty feature is the spring reverb. It sounds pretty amazing to my ears and give the echo more spatial depth despite being mono.
