Architects have been a band I grew up on back in Hollow Crown days. I first picked that album up in HMV at 16 back in 2010, and I fell in love with them on first listening. It was energetic. It was melodically creative. It was honest. Something was different about them and as people. Taken me time to understand, and several listenings, but they grew on me naturally. And after every other album from HC, I had taken hiatus from them after The Here and Now. Then I started listening to them again at All Our God Have Abandoned Us. Honestly, it felt like they matured with me! They brought inspiration again... Until I heard about Tom. It hit me so hard. Still does to this day. The amazing music he left behind when I was growing up... This will always be for Tom. Architects push boundaries. Holy Hell is promising. I feel hope in their progress. And it feels good to know that they are fighting back the grief with beauty and creativity. They’ve always been a huge inspiration. And now, they always will be. I hope they heal from what they’ve experienced. I too lost somebody I loved last Christmas. They were a guiding light in my darkest nights. I understand them. And they understand me. I connect with them musically and as a human being. Architects, thank you for making a man happy whenever your music plays. You give insight. “Momento Mori. Be mindful of death.”

Tom would be proud of them, they're such an amazing band. Forever Tom, forever Architects.
This song... its energy, its intensity, its emotion... and those fucking lyrics.... sparking a light in my heart. I won’t go to the grave with the song still in me ❤️✌️
The square room Sam is singing in is the prison cell, mentioned in "this is a prison for lost souls" Each member has something they are suffering from (addiction, pain, disease etc.) The fog inside the room is a metaphor for the haze or cloud of confusion after losing a loved one The dinner table is showing how people can ignore the suffering of others by distracting them The TV crew that shows up as Sam is on his deathbed is supposed to be the people who were supposed to be there for Tom during his final days The grey room Sam is in could be symbolic of the purgatory someone is in during their dying days? Of course these could all be just me over analyzing the visuals and the lyrics of the song but if you squint, it makes sense Holy Hell is a fucking master piece, and hopefully they release a video for each song
I'm not quite sure, feel like I'm guessing way more than with "Royal Beggars" but I think I got my very own interpretation of what this track is about. Throughout the video we have this glass-cube in which they all perform but Sam, who at some point towards the end has managed to break out of it - I believe this cube to symbolise a cage, putting your mistakes on display for everyone, being transparent to others, a 'messiah not wearing any clothes' (Reference to lines 3-4). The fact that Josh, Ali and Adam have in some way a connection to the computer or smartphone in the video and are not being shown to live outside of the that cube, somehow leads me to the thought, that this cage of glass is supposed to reflect our identity online. We are transparent, we are flawed without showing shame, we are naked in a very abstract way. And most importantly, we are caught in this image of ourselves on the web. "This is a prison for lost souls" Then, there's Dan, who suffocates on the table with Ali facing him and not caring at all. It seems like the mobile in Ali's hands is not only distracting him from the situation, it became more important and hinders him from feeling empathy. He watches Dan die, stands up and takes pictures of the scene, rather than feeling connected to what's happening in any way. The whole verse "We planted a seed..." and so on seems to underline that once more. Josh is starting to bleed from the eyes in a very similar manner he did in "Royal Beggars", where he sat in front of a TV and smoked, Ali is on his phone, not quite yet effected by it. Adam is busy working, handing Josh stuff to do and thereby contributing to Josh's destructive behaviour (I mean, that sentence sounds weird but Josh is literally bleeding so I guess...). Adam too lives in the box but on a passive level, while it's slightly more of an active act for Ali, even more so for Josh who destroys himself. On the other side we have the very frequently occuring picture of Sam with an arrow in his chest, hit like a hunted animal, like a wolf that has been shot down. 'Running with the wolves' to me stands for a more natural way of living than being caught in this horrific crate of glass and "now we can't see the forest" basically reminds us of how far we have strayed from living freely, how far from being wild and not killing ourselves. He is in his room, not falling for the destructive lifestyle - "I won’t go to the grave, with the song still in me, and I won’t live like a slave, begging from my knees". He lives with the pain, because he believes it is what's right and doesn't trust false 'emperors' or saviours. That's all I got, I'm sorry for it being a bit rough and way to long. And now - please, someone finally explain to me what the sunflower in every room but the cage is supposed to mean...I can't make sense of it. Thank you all for reading and if you stuck with me, I really appreciate it. Of course this is just my take on the song, dunno if it's any better than guessing. Cheers!
I like this interpretation and I don't think it's far from what they wanted to tell. For the sunflower my guess is that it could represent nature. What's important here is that the sunflower is almost dead and the water is spoiled.
I read your interpretation on Royal Beggars and I waited if you do interpretation on this new song and I am really impressed by this intepretation :) thank you for your time to write this because for me it is absolutely great to read about it and think more about songs :)
This song is probably my biggest inspiration to keep living for myself and to not surrender myself, "I won't live like a slave, I won't beg from my knees, I will not go to the grave with the song still in me." Too fuckin powerful

Makes a lot more sense now than ever before thanks architects!! Great show last year in Phoenix AZ never will forget!!🤓👍

We Used To Run With The Wolves , You're Right Sam , We Are So Lost Now!!
Sad that the most comments are about "bleh" and comparisons to other bands, while nobody seems to listen, that guys screams out his soul and no one is listening, only comments so far is yours and has only 14 likes, while all "bleh" comments have some hundrets, we are really lost, slaves of our own idiocy, the leaders are dead since a long time and only the sheeps keep on following old systems, idiologies and plans that are all against the sheeps.

its beautiful the best band of the planet.... 🖤🖤
so far, every song is a masterpiece, this band is out of this world!
God protect this band. I am gonna grow old with this band. I can never stop listening to these great men.
I heard Holy Hell for the first time last week because I thought that I wasn't "prepared" for it. This album blew my fucking ass off, dude. Architects is hands down the best metalcore/post metalcore band ever. You must love these guys

I was a little scared about what would happen to the band after Tom's passing 'cause he was the principal composer and lyricist in the band, but they are keeping that good level from the last two albums and Josh Middleton was the best option to follow Tom's legacy... Tom would be proud of them, they're such an amazing band. Forever Tom, forever Architects.
Wow, how did Tom pass?

This song... its energy, its intensity, its emotion... and those fucking lyrics.... sparking a light in my heart.
I won’t go to the grave with the song still in me ❤️✌️
I just started listening to these guys a few weeks ago and now I can't stop. The entire album has such aggression and meaning behind it, I love it
The square room Sam is singing in is the prison cell, mentioned in "this is a prison for lost souls"
Each member has something they are suffering from (addiction, pain, disease etc.)
The fog inside the room is a metaphor for the haze or cloud of confusion after losing a loved one
The dinner table is showing how people can ignore the suffering of others by distracting them
The TV crew that shows up as Sam is on his deathbed is supposed to be the people who
were supposed to be there for Tom during his final days
The grey room Sam is in could be symbolic of the purgatory someone is in during their dying days?
Of course these could all be just me over analyzing the visuals and the lyrics of the song but if you squint, it makes sense
Holy Hell is a fucking master piece, and hopefully they release a video for each song
"This is a prison for lost souls"
Then, there's Dan, who suffocates on the table with Ali facing him and not caring at all.
What's important here is that the sunflower is almost dead and the water is spoiled.
wajgl_neon Thank you very much! I appreciate it. The idea with the sunflower sounds reasonable.
I read your interpretation on Royal Beggars and I waited if you do interpretation on this new song and I am really impressed by this intepretation :) thank you for your time to write this because for me it is absolutely great to read about it and think more about songs :)
Peter Vereš Thanks mate, I really appreciate that! I love finding a deeper meaning of art for myself too :)
Architects hit different! This is music for my soul ❤
This song is probably my biggest inspiration to keep living for myself and to not surrender myself, "I won't live like a slave, I won't beg from my knees, I will not go to the grave with the song still in me." Too fuckin powerful
This touches the soul and the heart of everyone, trying to remind us what is happening. And there are still people listening to mumble rap or some shit like that.So sad!
All of the riffs in all the songs are eargasmic! :)
the best metalcore band of all time!!!!!! 🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾🤟🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've have recently discovered this band and I'm a lil obsessed. I just love the raw emotion you can hear in Sam's voice along with the badass music being played. This is now one of my favorite bands of all time.
Always producing the best lyrics. One of my favorite bands.
I'm here everyday listen to this Masterpiece
Architects proving to be better then amity’s new album.... i never thought I’d ever say there’s a better band then amity .... but architects stay consistent with their genre and they make wicked music ... well done guys !
Architects - Modern Misery > The Amity Affliction - Misery
Unfortunately, that taa album was kinda crappy
Jack Baldwin TAA went way downhill since LTOTM
Personally i also loved This Could Be Heartbreak, but Misery was a total abomination.
Amity is really suicide-core xd
Note to everyone: like the video before you play it because you might forget it after YOU SMASH YOUR PC WHILE HEADBANGING ON THIS EPIC SONG
yves govaerts done 🤘 rip phone and rip pc
how good is this band every release is better and getting better
I love how they've stayed architects throughout all these years.
"We used to run with the wolves." That just hits me hard and cant figure out why.
Cada nueva canción supera a la anterior, ya no puedo esperar a que salga el nuevo disco.
Gracias Architects por darle música a mí vida ❤️
En tan solo unos días sale :D
Sin duda alguna.
Son increíbles!

With so many people listening to rap, the hard hitting screamers are the reason that music is still good.
whats the problem with rap?
@@leventegyorgydeak1300 i think he's talking about all the "mumble" rappers people like nowadays. But for me I like this music and rap but rappers with real meaning in their music yk?
…you know screamers aren’t the only vocalists allowed on the scene, right
For years everything they've written has been so we'll thought out and emotional. Their music's gotten me through too much over the years. They still fuckn got it more than ever
Architects made me a stronger person today ! I will love this band till end.

Why do people have to express hate to other bands under videos that don't belong to the ones. Can't we just admire what we see and hear here?
You guys are an absolute gift... this album is already amazing so far 🤘🏼🖤
Architects kill it every damn time. It's amazing how the lyrics are always the best part of their master pieces. Second to none.
Architects keep on doing it. Every song is an amazing part of work. Love their style!
Why is no one mentioning the way he screams "are these our new messiah's?" That shit is incredible!
Adoring Fan I’ve been looking for someone else who feels that way. It’s one of my favorite screams of all time. Also “singing us the Lord’s Prayer”
years ago I was told that I'm too old for this kind of music, but I think some will be too young to unterstand for the rest of their life
If someone becomes "too old" for this music it just means they've given in. Don't lose your spark.
Must be pretty uncomfortable singing with an arrow sticking out of your chest. Proves that Sam truly is the best metal vocalist
this has to be the most best comment ever.
Hahah truly one of the best!
It's a shame Josh isn't doing any kind of backing vocals, imo got a much better screaming voice
For me he's not the best but he's one of the best metal singer these days.
Margarita Romanova him and Howard Jones are tied for me
Holy Damn!!!! I'm a 47 year old, old school metalhead, and I've been listening to a lot of Parkway Drive and Architects lately, and I'm officially addicted. Our local rock station in Atlanta, plays the same shit over and over and never anything new. Glad I checked out these awesome bands.
We Are All Blessed to have an good metal singer in this world
These lyrics hit hard, lots of folks waking up to this.
Yess.
This is the Architects I love
I WON'T LIVE LIKE A SLAVE, I WON'T BEG FROM MY KNEES.
I WILL NOT GO TO THE GRAVE WITH THE SONG STILL IN ME.
1:44-1:49 that drop in screaming vocals gives me chills
Thank you guys for not selling out and going soft to hit a wider audience. I love that you have stayed true to your style since day 1, regardless of whats happened on your path as a band. You guys fucking kill!
This is actually a lot different than their style from day 1 lol. Just have a look at their first two albums
this comment isn’t applicable now lol
Sam's vocals are like fine wine, growing finer with age.
