I could while travelling, communicate in Turkish with Azeris, Georgians, Iranians, Kirgiz, Tadjik, Uzbeks, Bulgars, North Chinese, Mongols, Kazachs and many other nationalities with ease in Turkish. I’ve never been there, and I love to hear what ‘ordinary people’s’ day to day life is in all sorts of different places. So, I guess, just saying, I like the cultural and the war situation/how friends are doing, what they are seeing, etc. I am looking forward to seeing you in Istanbul (another place I’ve never been) and what it looks like, what the food is like, what the people are like from a ‘normal person’ perspective (like not a Travel Channel video.) Prices of things, what the types of foods are, the transportation, the housing…I find it all interesting!!! Also, I’m very concerned about the safety of Ukraine 🇺🇦 the rest of the world, and those in Russia who do not want to live in a dictatorship, so hearing about your experience and other’s experiences getting out, staying safe, and setting up life in a new country.
