@Mike K. I think there were more than one motive for killing the Tates. One of the biggest and perhaps the ultimate reason was that Bobby B. had been arrested for a murder Charles Manson was directly involved in. Charles was doing a copycat killing in order to prove that Bobby, who had been arrested could not have been the killer. Manson had to get Bobby cleared before Bobby implicated him. Of course the exact why of choosing the Tate house was probably that it was in the same general area as the Hinman murder. The other motives aren't completely removed.
@Mike K. There were so many layers to the story. Bugliosi told a very specific story for a very specific reason and you should actually appreciate the job he pulled off in the courtroom of convicting the killers to death. It was a fine line he was walking to hold all of them legally responsible for the crimes. He addresses that in the book. About how he had to create a narrative that the jury would buy and understand. That’s why he over emphasized the Helter Skelter story.
The view was stunning esp at dusk & Dawn. I thought this was the perfect home , just beautiful. Although anything I watch on ciello drive brings me those images of horror of that awful night in Aug 69.
I agree I would have never destroyed it ! I wouldn't be scared to live there! RIP sharon tate and the other victims! Such a beautiful woman gone 2 soon😢
I feel sad for her, her ex-husband, her relatives and her friends. That house was like a dream and sadly it doesnt exist anymore. She will always live in our hearts
Such a sad story I remember when all of that happen. She was a buetiful woman. It's also sad that they tour that buetiful house down. It was helping to keep Sharon alive, I know she lost her life there at that house but that house was helping to keep her memory alive. You don't just think of the bad things that happen there but you can picture Sharon having good time's there like when she was out front with the dogs and picture having a good time in the pool and around back next to the garage having a cook out, talking to her unborn baby while she was laying down on her bed in her bedroom. That home made more people think about Sharon then Charlie and his followers, it made you think more of Sharon like as she would be standing there washing her dishes in the kitchen. Now they have murdered the home that she had good Times in too and where her and her precious baby slept together. That's what I think about when I see this buetiful home of Sharon's and I call it Sharon's because when she moved in that home she gave it a part of her, she gave it the Sharon touch she had things put where she wanted them and you could've looked around and seen things threw Sharon eyes. R.I.P. BUETIFUL ANGEL SHARON AND YOUR LITTLE BABY ANGEL YOU BOTH WILL ALWAYS BE TOGETHER.
Yeah and they tour her house down and built something so hideous on it. Someone really went through a lot to cover every memory of her on that property that's why the house is so huge. No one could ever destroy a memory of such a beautiful woman
I love the house. So beautiful. I went looking for it before I knew it was torn down. I didn't know. Never found it anyway. Thanx for the videos man....
I try and look at this beautiful house, as it was. The impeccable landscaping, the view, the architecture resembling an eloquent French house, but with added features of a ranch home. Then, unexpectedly, my mind wanders to one night that house became one of unimaginable horror. I always try to separate the two views, but it is difficult.
I don't understand why people are so taken by seeing the house and the grounds. But we are.Even after almost 50 years. We must have trouble letting go with what once was.
Intrigue. People watch videos like this one and imagine the horror that took place here and how could it happen to such beautiful successful innocent people.

Beautiful house, great style in the 1940s, obviously an upscale (but not grandiose) house that only a tiny percentage of Americans at the time could have afforded. Though not large it was a luxury home because of the detail, quality, and style
Sharon adored this house called it her “love house”. My heart breaks for her and the baby and her friends and young Steven Parent. I was eleven when the Tate-LaBianca slaughter happened and I still cannot comprehend it. If the object was to start a race war as Manson claimed, why stop there? Why not continue? It doesn’t make sense. Rest in peace, Steven, Sharon and baby Richard Paul, Jay, Abigail and Voytek, Rosemary and Leno.
@@fizzao1342 that whole race war story was a blind...they were trying to cover up the hinman murder by making it look like there was a crazed serial killer on the loose . Roman hires these people to specifically kill his wife and unborn baby and tells them kill whoever's in the house with his wife so there aren't any witnesses...that why it took so long to catch them...it was sheer luck that garretson the caretaker wasnt killed as well...the gods were looking out for him that night he died of cancer a few yrs ago rip all the Manson victims
Messylin what I find odd is the photos of inside the house while they were living there. One would think it would have nicer furnishings, considering how much money he had.
The house was beautiful, no doubt, but it’s the lot and the location that really makes it pretty. That house anywhere else is just a nice house. Put it on Cielo dr on the side of a canyon w a view of L.A and trees and hills behind you and it’s just on another level. Just my opinion though
So once again the word "Cielo" (Sky) appears in the news, almost 50 years to the day. A tragic coincidence? I don't know. But what is certain is that nothing has been learnt in the last 50 years, with talk of "race wars". What is ironic is the latest massacre occured in El Paso, a Spanish name (along with San Francisco San Diego Los Angeles, San Antonio etc. etc.). Don't these "white kids" get taught American History in their schools?
I can't believe how anyone could have lived there., after what took place there....what those animals did...inconceivable...such a beautiful woman and of course, the others
Tates and Mansons aside, this was a beautiful home on a stunning piece of property. The person who tore it down and built what's there now should be locked up in the Crazy Farm. Seriously It's inexcusable what happened to this house.
You and me both. They tore it down and built something so huge and hideous on it. Well now that Mansion is up for sale for a million I don't think anyone's going to pay 80 million for it it's just going to sit and decay and all of that. I always did love the original House it was just a very beautiful. She really was a burst of sunshine I that they are all resting in peace in the arms of our father.
They should have left it alone as a memorial of 4 people experienced such terror. I am surprised Sharon did not give birth that night. But God only knows what the Manson family would have done.

There was too much sadness here. 5 people were brutally murdered and one of them being pregnant with her unborn child. That house and land has negativity and bad spirits all around it. What happened to each of them is horrific and I am not sure if keeping it or tearing it down is the right answer. Actually, there is no right answer when I think about it. If it was kept, it might have become a place for tourism for someone to make money off the deaths of these individuals. That would have been a no good answer. Even if they made it a museum, someone would need to pay to keep it up and who would be willing to pay that money? No matter how you look at it, it is sad. God Bless them all and I pray their souls are at peace.
@ It wasn't the house with the bad vibes. It's Benedict Canyon as a whole. The ground is sour. It was all built on lava rock...or "fire rock". Could even call it devil rock. But love and faith in God in overcomes evil. With God, all things are possible. But do some research on Benedict Canyon and see how many nasty things have happened there. Phil Hartman's wife shooting him then killing herself, George Reeves mysterious suicide, Yvette Vickers dying in her home and not being found for almost a year and others...it's all so interesting and creepy. This house should have been saved and the ground should be blessed. Go listen to some stories about what the guy from nine inch nails said about his time on this property. Creepy. But you will notice that everyone who lives in this house was from Hollywood, which is damned to it's core.
Who's here after "Once Upon a Time, in Hollywood"?🙋 I wish Tarantino's storybook ending had really happened. Maybe in another dimension the Manson maniacs got what they deserved. Rotting away in prison is just too good for them. R.I.P. Sharon, Baby Tate, Jay Sebring, and the rest. Such a sad and tragic end to such beautiful, care-free individuals. 🙏😢😭

Yeah, no one would want to live there knowing what took place there, I know it would be very unsettling to live in a house where you know four people were brutally murdered. I don't think I'd ever be able to sleep in such a place.
Everyone saying negative comments about Roman have no idea about Sharon. Sharon loved him. It was a different time then. 19 60s Hollywood many were all about free love and not monogomous. I feel nobody has the right to judge her choice in a mate. She knew from the start what Roman was about. This is something he didn't hide. She is even in one interview talking about it, saying it's more natural to be in an open type of relationship. She did not wish to change him or smother him. He was working, he is not responsible for her demise that night. He loved Sharon and her death destroyed him. If you admire Sharon and really know what kind of woman she was you would not pass judgment on Roman..About his behaviour or especially his appearance! Sharon was with a beautiful actor before Jay. That beat her severely and left her in a hospital, so perhaps that type of man wasn't for her anymore. Roman and Sharon were human, humans are not perfect nor are relationships. They loved each other and she was very looking forward to having his baby.
jerrysnow100 You have very little sensitivity to what happened to a pregnant woman and her friends, talking about movies pornographic with dogs and insultándola, respect please, you have no idea of any of those things that also people invent,morons...
I just watched an episode on Steven Parent on THEDEARLYDEPARTED/YT. Steven was just there to talk to the only survivor about a clock radio. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
It was a great house - not too big, not too small. Layout was perfect - common areas in the middle, bedrooms on the ends. A beautiful yard but not too big to keep. Very private, plus a guesthouse! And the view! The BEST anywhere in LA. Right now, there are people living in other homes where a murder was committed - why was 10050 labelled such a nightmare? Such a shame it was torn down, or even considered a haunted house. The house didn't do anything. Why punish it? I wish someone had reclaimed it as the "love house" that Sharon named it.
I suspect that sadly the land was worth more than the house. I believe the LaBianca house will see the wrecking ball for the same reason. Such a shame on both counts. Both were beautiful houses
What a monstrosity they built after bulldozing the beautiful house that was there. Great video that gave me chills and a geographical layout. I can tell why the person in guest house heard nothing that terrible night in August..
Bill Lozier The caretaker did hear some of what happened. He heard Abigail screaming and yelling I'm already dead. Patricia tried to open his door and then walked away.

@@billlozier5551 He said in his Police interview "I was really scared that night". If he heard nothing why would he be scared?. He also didn't pass a lie detector test. The Police also said it was highly unlikely he heard nothing. Maybe he did or maybe he didn't. He is the only one who knows.
Why would anyone want to have the house still stand? What happened there in August 1969 was the most horrifying and shocking events that frightened California and the whole world.
well, the owner lived in it for 20 yrs after the murders without incident said 'he never felt weird or anything. besides, it was standing for soo long, to destroy it for one night of horror doesn't seem right. it was just so lovely and now it's just so grotesque with that 'thing' they built there.
elizabeth lacey Likely it was destroyed because it was a valuable piece of land with a great view. Location, location, location. I too like the looks of the original house, but in some of the photos, it looked like it was getting sort of shabby. Of course there is the stigma of murder happening there...I don’t care how pretty it is, I wouldn’t want to live where something so horrible happened. And the style probably didn’t appeal to too many buyers. Big, modern, and ugly is what many people with money want.
@@oliviadimagiba1933 5 people (6 with the baby) died there. Steven Parent; Abigail Folger (heiress to Folger Coffee); Voytek Frykowski (usually called young Polanski, great friend of Roman); Jay Sebring (Sharon's ex-bf and her close friend) and Sharon Tate.
The house became a channel where it got concentrated something very bad, something evil, which was printed on the walls, in the environment, on the ground. That's something someone can't see, but feel. Even long before the crime this place didn't have such a quiet fame despite the beautiful impression it leaves on those who see from outside in an overview. The house had a ranch style and gave the feeling of cozy paradise and after being demolished killed this aesthetic and any related stuff arousing curiosity about the past, but not the story itself that is recorded in the police pages - and in people's imagination. Michele Morgan, an actress who lived in this house during the 1940s, reported in writing that she heard strange sounds at night coming from the living room and outside the window of the room in which she slept, as well as describing other things and sensations. She didn't spend much time living there and apparently didn't like being alone there, coincidentally in the same way as Sharon Tate. People talk a lot about that whole canyon.
When I see this house, I get sad. I get a strange feeling each time I see this house and the nightmare which occurred there that August night on the 9th. I give a moment of silence. I was 18 at the time and had graduated from high school in June 1969. The late 60s were fun times but the summer of 1969 all that ended with these horrible murders. It is still hard to grasp that people can be so evil. I've seen where Susan Atkins changed her tune and said she never stabbed anyone in a voice so innocent it made me sick. Others disagreed with her. I am glad they did not let her go home when she was dying of cancer. She died in prison to which she spent the rest of her life.
This was very sad. I live near here and the house has been demolished and a huge one with a different address sits in its place. There is a home below this one another street looked just like it. It’s all just so Sad.

I'm thinking of building an exact replica of this place
The view was stunning esp at dusk & Dawn. I thought this was the perfect home , just beautiful.
Although anything I watch on ciello drive brings me those images of horror of that awful night in Aug 69.
So Sad. I’m crying. For Sharon and all who perished Unreal Such a Beautiful House
Now replaced with an ugly macmansion,
REALLY ugly.
I agree!!
I agree I would have never destroyed it ! I wouldn't be scared to live there! RIP sharon tate and the other victims! Such a beautiful woman gone 2 soon😢
Truly is! Very sad!
If I had all the money in the world I would tear down that mansion and rebuild the old one! Exact replica and everything
I feel sad for her, her ex-husband, her relatives and her friends. That house was like a dream and sadly it doesnt exist anymore. She will always live in our hearts
mira Who is her ex husband?.
She was married to Roman when she died.
Son mari Roman...je ne connais pas d ex mari ??????
It was a charming little house with character......now we have an OTT newly built carbuncle....in its place...such a shame....linda uk!
Beautiful
It was such a beautiful house
I love the house. So beautiful. I went looking for it before I knew it was torn down. I didn't know. Never found it anyway. Thanx for the videos man....
There was another one built, just below on the next street.
This house was beautiful better than the big mansion sitting there now :(
I hate big mansions...they scare me...I need somewhere cozy to relax....this house was much nicer!
Magnificent musical accompaniment
From movie “ To Kill a Mockingbird “ A Haunting and sad piece.
I don't understand why people are so taken by seeing the house and the grounds. But we are.Even after almost 50 years. We must have trouble letting go with what once was.
Intrigue. People watch videos like this one and imagine the horror that took place here and how could it happen to such beautiful successful innocent people.
Such a pretty house, but terrible memories of what happened there.
History. I lived in California from 1988 through 1990 but that was before internet and GPS so I never saw it. Were taking a trip out there in the next couple years and I'm planning to go to the site of that and Waverly Drive
John Harman I would also like to know that place and go to visit the tomb of Sharon and some other actor
Jesús Milara - Sharon and Paul Richard are buried in Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, CA.

This house is beautiful but the story behind it is terrifying...so that make the house creepy
I could never live there!!!!! 🐩🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Gorgeous house,elegant personality.
Beautiful house, great style in the 1940s, obviously an upscale (but not grandiose) house that only a tiny percentage of Americans at the time could have afforded. Though not large it was a luxury home because of the detail, quality, and style
Remember the Polanskis were renting the house, they didn't own it.
People in general were more conservative or practical back in the day.
That was such a beautiful house 😌
The house was beautiful, no doubt, but it’s the lot and the location that really makes it pretty. That house anywhere else is just a nice house. Put it on Cielo dr on the side of a canyon w a view of L.A and trees and hills behind you and it’s just on another level. Just my opinion though
Such beautiful music for a place of horrendous violence and bloodshed. GOD give Peace and Eternal Rest to them.
I mean how much time has gone they won't be forgotten we owe them that
WoW, cool footage 👍Thanks
I can't believe how anyone could have lived there., after what took place there....what those animals did...inconceivable...such a beautiful woman and of course, the others
Animals are better than them , they are scum on earth, they should be burned alive, I will light the match, and laugh
Tates and Mansons aside, this was a beautiful home on a stunning piece of property. The person who tore it down and built what's there now should be locked up in the Crazy Farm. Seriously It's inexcusable what happened to this house.
I'm so mad that this beautiful house was torn down.
Me too!
Such a lovely home. What a shame that many lives were cut short on a madman’s whim.
I love this house 🏡 I wish it could’ve been preserved
Yup
I just don't understand why they waited 25 years to destroy it .
totally agree...........
Why destroy the house? It didn't kill anybody.
I hope one day the house can be rebuilt to the exact likeness in an equally beautiful setting.
AWESOME VIDEO!!! I LOVE IT!!!!
ana65905 beautiful
New subscriber love your videos and the music the house was too beautiful to have been torn down if I had the money to buy it I would have got a priest to come in and blessed the whole house and grounds.👍👍👍
It’s heartbreaking. If only we could turn back time and stop it happening.
Does anyone know the actual layout room by room of the house. I love the way it looks & have never really "seen" a plan or layout of the rooms.
It fits so well here
Such a beautiful home
it's a shame they had to tear that house down. very unique piece of property. don't really see this type of home in california. then or now.
I agree. And, it will forever be the Sharon Tate et al murder "location" regardless of how much rebuilding others do. Location, location, location.
mike descoteaux Robert Byrd homes. All quaint and charming.storybook homes.
Yeah, no one would want to live there knowing what took place there, I know it would be very unsettling to live in a house where you know four people were brutally murdered. I don't think I'd ever be able to sleep in such a place.
Such a pretty house
They loved each other and she was very looking forward to having his baby.
get a life saddo
@@keithlowe9336 HE WAS
we should have a little more respect, some sentences here are too much
Well said.
jerrysnow100 You have very little sensitivity to what happened to a pregnant woman and her friends, talking about movies pornographic with dogs and insultándola, respect please, you have no idea of any of those things that also people invent,morons...
rip sharon, jay, voytek, abigail and steven you didn;t deserve what happened to you.
I just watched an episode on Steven Parent on THEDEARLYDEPARTED/YT. Steven was just there to talk to the only survivor about a clock radio. He was at the wrong place at the wrong time.
lisa martin You practically took the words right out of my mouth. I was thinking those very same thoughts as I was scrolling through the comments.
Why have they torn it down? That beautiful house would be a good place to visit
Such a beautiful and interesting house. What a shame.
Elmer Bernstein, what a beautiful tribute!
Those lost that night could've been honored by preserving that house. I would not be creeped out living there.
So sad this beautiful house was torn down. The house wasn't to blame.
Both were beautiful houses
why was the house labelled a nightmare? Nightmarish things happened there that’s why. This was no ordinary murder scene.
Remarkable. I've not seen much of this footage before . Was it shot at different time periods?
What a monstrosity they built after bulldozing the beautiful house that was there. Great video that gave me chills and a geographical layout. I can tell why the person in guest house heard nothing that terrible night in August..
Bill Lozier The caretaker did hear some of what happened.
He heard Abigail screaming and yelling I'm already dead.
Patricia tried to open his door and then walked away.
@@debrak8521 Patricia did try the door. Do you know the source wear he heard the screaming? I've read a lot about the case.
@@billlozier5551 William Garretson admitted in an interview on E in 1999 that he heard gunshots and he heard Abigail scream "Stop I'm already dead".
This information is on Google.
@@debrak8521 30 years later eh? I seriously doubt that. I've read his arrest interrogation report. He said he heard nothing. He had his headphones on all night ,lights off. That's what saved him. He never heard anyone scream I'm already dead. Lol, please. That's just absurd. I stay with the original testimony. William saw & heard nothing.
Wasn't the houses fault it was the sick individuals that committed those horrendous crimes nearly 50 years ago
@@chainsawkitten3766 The house was definitely in need of repairs when this video was taken.
@@maire1889 My sentiments exactly!!
I love Sharon and my heart aches for them all. Abigail was stabbed even in her face. The poor people, I wish I could go back in time and warn them.

Such a beautiful property. A shame that such a tragic event occurred there.
R.I.P all of them.
I cant forget about this little angel... Sleep well sweet angel🙏🙏🙏
R.I.P Sharon and the others who lost there life In 1969
When I see this house, I get sad.
It’s all just so
Sad.
