  • Today's video will show you how to build an Angelfish planted aquarium on a low budget. I have used 4 different types of substrate for planted aquarium. Areas that won't have any plants is filled with river stones. Spaces where I would place some plants have AquaEarth aquarium soil. Middle area is filled with 6mm white gravel and aquarium soil is topped up with 3 bags of 3mm brown gravel. To make this planted aquarium cheap to build, I have trimmed my stem plants in other planted aquariums and put them in this planted tank.
    Aquarium plants consists of Water wisteria, Rotala, Bacopa and Java fern. A nice piece of driftwood is placed in the middle of the tank. Low budget planted aquarium does not only have free plants but they are cheap to maintain and also easy to propagate. For this community tank, I have added few angelfish, couple of German blue ram, dwarf gourami, swordtail and couple of kuhli loaches. Tank is running on a home made aquarium filter which is doing an amazing job.
    I hope you would have enjoyed this low budget planted tropical tank video for angelfish, I really appreciate your time and would highly recommend subscribing for more updates.
    Thank You

    • @Fishaholic
      @Fishaholic  3 роки тому +3

      Yes of course, a good filter will take care of ammonia. My goldfish tank doesn't have plants as goldies will destroy them. Air pump creates surface agitation to oxygenate water. If your filter outlet can create disturbance at the surface level of tank then it will do the same job as air pump.

    This is supposed to be done on a low-budget I’m guessing and straightaway you put in a load of expensive substrate in there if I bought all of that substrate local to me in the UK it would cost me around £60 if I went to the building merchants and spent a little bit more time washing it and used a bag or two of pond compost underneath the gravel I could do it for under £20 and I plants with thrive and so with the fish I think this is the hardest thing when trying to save money everyone stuck in the mindset they has to have the word aquarium attached to the manufacturing not the case. These are exactly the same materials used in the building trade they’re just package differently porn compost is exactly the same as the stuff we get in the aquarium store it’s just not rolled up into little balls and baked so you just need to make sure you It off to stop it messing up the tank

      Quite a few online stores sell angelfish in Australia. But if you are some large fish then I would suggest going to a pet store.

    Didn't wait for tank to cycle, overloaded with fish to start. Angel fish not for beginners. Planted substrate expensive and too deep. Beginner tank but high maintenance, constantly needs trimmed.
