I am 63 years old, and I've been told since I was young that my great grandmother was Choctaw. My grandmother had a picture hanging in her guest bedroom and she told me it was a picture of my Great Grandma Foster who was a Choctaw medicine woman. She married an Irishman named Foster (don't know his first name, or hers for that matter). All my life I've wondered about my Native American connection. These ancestors are from my mother's side. That's pretty much all I know about it.
