Ohhhh!!! I can’t believe that YUTA at you guys rock music reaction channel!!! I’m not so interested in K-POP but NCT127 is unique so I like them and YUTA is my favorite member. He has worked hard for 10 years as the first Japanese member of the office in an environment where he has always been put in a difficult position and not only given preferential treatment, but not even the activities and support that Korean members are normally given. There is a more intense anti-Japanese sentiment than people overseas might imagine. He is at a disadvantage just because He is Japanese. They let him debut, but they don't support him. He is Japanese to attract Japanese people's attention. They treated him like fishing bait. After 10 years of hard work, he got his debut, and he took off his mask to show his fans who he really is, and debuted with a rock song that he loves. This is the song. His debut country was Japan. He could not debut in Korea where he had been active for 10 years. Nevertheless, he happily toured with a live band in concert and gave a wonderful performance. He also was on his solo tour recently where he performed his solo album and his 4 unreleased songs that will be included on his next album this year, plus two covers, one is a hyde song and the other is a larc en ciel song, he is a huge fan of hyde and his band. He is also friend with him and many other rockstars from the japanese industry
Yuta mentioned in his radio show that they were choosing between a couple other songs for the title track, the other songs were a little darker than this and the company wanted something that would be easier for existing fans who are not generally rock genre listeners so they chose off the mask in the end. In his showcase tour he did perform several unreleased songs too! The album is really great i hope you do check it out! Thank you for your video!

There are so many amazing songs BY NCT127.....kick it, fact check, Regular, cherrybomb and the list goes on! Coming from someone like me who has listened to metalcore and deathcor, I've only been into kpop for about 2yrs and even tho this song seems very generic rock song and nothing too crazy... the fact this came from a kpop idol is something. I was never expecting Yuta to go in this direction but I'm so happy he did cuz he did amazing ❤

I loved this reaction and I can't wait to see more :) Also NCT is a bit different from other kpop groups where when we say "subunits", we basically treat them as separate groups just under the same branding of NCT, unlike how subunits are formed for other kpop groups (like BooSeokSoon consisting of 3 of the members of SVT, but are not seen as a completely different group). NCT 127, which Yuta is an official member of, leans more towards experimental music that focuses on hip-hop, electronic, and pop elements for their main title tracks, but focuses on a lot of R&B in their b-sides (non-promoted music on their albums). As other comments have mentioned, Yuta has been a fan of rock for a long time, so it's exciting to see him get to explore that genre through his own solo music! Just know that if you end up checking NCT out (which I HIGHLY recommend you do), it will not be similar to this sound at all (I think the closest to rock you will hear from NCT is probably "Kick It" by NCT127 or there are elements of rock guitars in songs like "Take Off" and "Turn Back Time" from NCT's Chinese subunit called WayV). Also, a heads up: there are 5 subunits of NCT, and each one of them has a distinctly different sound! So, depending on which unit you check out, you will most likely hear different styles and genres :) I'd suggest starting with NCT127 since Yuta is in that group and they have VERY interesting production in their songs that I think you will find intriguing even if they aren't rock related!
Yes I’d love to see y’all react to nct! I’d suggest NCT 127 - Kick It for starters. This subunit has Yuta in it and it’s more of a hip hop & rnb sound (their focused sound across their discography) with guitar as the main focus in the chorus. It’s a crazy song it’s what made me stan them and now they’re my favorite group of all time. Yuta has always loved rock so it’s awesome that he was able to release his solo album with that as the focus. I’d also love if you could maybe check out ZeroBaseOne’s 2024 MAMA performance. It’s a bit of a longer video but the performance is amazing. Definitely very poppy though just so you know but it’s a fun performance in my opinion.

The entire album is very alt rock, new metal late 90s early 2000s vibe. As a gen Xer I loved every track.
