You are a life saver. I have a different model, but was able to figure it out with your clear steps and good camerawork. One point of attention: my pulley has a spring, which jumped off when the cable broke. I put the belt in place, then tensioned with the spring and pliers (and assistance in pushing the pulley down). Saved us a costly repair job.

Spot on instruction. I'm not a strong as you so used a spanner pivoting on the motor casing to fit the belt to the black wheel. As to why the belt disintegrates, I read that overloading the dryer can cause it. Thanks again.
Very helpful, especially if your belt has snapped & its not clear immediately how it winds around the pulley. You also saved me time with taking the front section off to get the belt over the drum :)

Everything was smooth until I had to put the belt around the pulley, it was totally impossible for me, I assume I'm not as strong as you haha. Finally I could sort it out after watching another video called "Indesit IDC85 belt fitment - getting belt over pulley". So with the help of a screwdriver I could finally put the belt in place. Thank you!
You are very welcome mate, that is the hardest part....putting the belt around the pully, some models have the motor on spring so you could actually tilt it to do that, but this model does not unfortunately. Well done for having it done 👍
This was an excellent guide. The bearing on mine had gone so I had to remove the drum itself but this helped be figure how to do that along with getting the belt back on which was hard!

Hotpoint engineer here. Don't take off the pully wheel like that. Your making it harder for yourself. Do exactly what you done with getting it over the motor shaft. Get it lined up with the grooves of the shaft. Get the old belt and double it up and put it behind new belt. Pull until you can get it onto the wheel, I put 2 feet at the bottom corners and all my weight behind it. Comes fairly easy. Under no circumstances should you take that pully wheel off unless it's broken. Always make sure to give a hoover inside if ya gone to all that trouble too. Good man.
@@432Enduro so when u have it plugged in and press play, it doesn't start, with the lid off, try press start, and if it doesn't turn, give the drum a little push, and if it starts turning it's the capacitor,

But the belt I checked and it was the right one. 👌 However doe the actual drum did not spin round when I had everything on. But it was definitely the right belt. So not sure
@nathanrumbold2982 you are welcome no problems but if you are trying again later try to spin the drum by your hand at the start, if works it could be the capacitor need a change

Yes, sure I did....I know it is very small place but with couple of try you would get it on, some models have spring motor mounts so you could left motor then push back after you put the belt but my model does not have I just kept trying with belt on the pully I tried to bring pully close and managed to slide in finally...I hope you can as well.
The belts are tough but they have got a bit of give in them - don’t be afraid to stretch it a bit. I had to use a screwdriver to help stretch it over the pulley - it was the hardest part of the whole job
Hi pal .. you haven't got a pic of the timer electrical connectors on the back of the timer ? I replaced the belt .. and my photo I took of the wires and which spades they connected to has disappeared ☹️. I've been on the net .. but can't find a pic or diagram .. thanks in advance

This video was very helpful. Unfortunately when I put everything on as it should be. The dryer started smoking. Not sure why that is
Could be the belt very tight if not the correct one, does the belt damaged again? Check the bully as well, is the motor working?

how to remove condenser? i have hotpoint tdhp 851 and wont come out, machine start stinking on rotten lint from bacteria ffs.
Mine is TCM 580, Condenser has 3 small blue butterfly, and to remove it just twice them to the unlocking position, then pull it out. I hope that helps
