Leigh had to go to St John's - Newfoundland - Canada to do a training course for work.
I came with him and we made the most of being there.
We started to hike the EAST COAST TRAiL. 336 km of challenging and beautiful coastal hiking from Topsail Beach to Cappahayden.
In this video : day 1 of our hike. Stay tuned for the rest of the adventure.
Join us as we travel the world overland, exploring the cultures and traditions of all the countries we visit.
In our Land Rover Defender camper which is our full time home we will take you rock climbing, hiking and exploring across all the continents on this planet.

Canada is so underrated, not much content to watch, I already follow VanWifes and VanLife Sagas, such an amazing Country. I retired after 37 years in oil and gas industry I was a ruff neck, a Driller, a Well logging engineer, A process engineer, and ended my career as a lead senior geologist for BHP Petroleum working the Permian Basin( found 1.6 billion barrels of easily recoverable oil that had been passed by in the past)

    Super video, guys.
Newfoundland has so much to see and experience.
You absolutely must visit Gros Morne National Park and also the Viking settlement at Lanse aux Meadows on the northern peninsula.
The Vikings visited Newfoundland 1,000 years ago! Quite amazing!
Stephy might know about St Pierre and Miquelon - islands off the southwest coast which are owned by France. A fairly quick ferry ride or fly in from St John’s.
Hope you enjoyed your time there and that you’ll be able to enjoy further adventures in Newfoundland!

Oh the lupines! So beautiful and typical of east coast. NFLD was my favourite place to visit after the Yukon. The hospitality from your co-worker was also extended to us by a former co-worker we met at a conference. NFLD hospitality is the best. If you have time visit any of the museums on your travels and any craft and arts co-operative. We have this wonderful Outport Santa that we purchased. Every Christmas it has a place of honour on our mantel reminding us of this wonderful province.
