This is part 2 of our long distance hike in Newfoundland - Canada : the East Coast Trail.
Join us as we travel the world overland, exploring the cultures and traditions of all the countries we visit.
In our Land Rover Defender camper which is our full time home we will take you rock climbing, hiking and exploring across all the continents on this planet.
The still shots throughout are great. Great vid as always. I know how much work it is to edit! Love from NZ.
Oh yes another grizzly and bear video . The coastal scenery is spectacular on that trail . Thanks again for taking us along on another special little side adventure on this spectacular journey around the world you two are on . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) 🌎🍻😁👍🏼
Thanks for the insight into Newfoundland. As an airline pilot from Europe I pass by there often and always wonder how it looks like down there. Now I know! St. Johns is one of our main alternates when crossing the Atlantic. Thanks for the videos, safe travels!
Wouhaou that is so awesome! It an honour to know that a pilot has watched our video. 😊 thank you.
Absolument magnifique, superbe images,et le temps ,que du bonheur. Merci. 😊❤❤
That was beautiful to see, the rugged country but also aw inspiring. It was nice to see that the people were very friendly and accommodating for you. Be safe and all your future adventures!
Every episode is more than adventure, is a whole experience for the dreamy eye and mind. ¡Pura Vida!
Loved that little "Swap shop", such a neat idea but I don't suppose that it would last in most places 😞
Thanks for a very very interesting video. Awesome views.
Sweet, I was just thinking yesterday, I wonder when Leigh and Stephi are gonna come out with another adventure! Damn you hit the Newfoundland trails at the perfect time of year. Canadian's are some pretty jolly folks, hope you guys had a blast.
From Newfoundland here and never hiked the trail. On the other coast now but will get back sometime to do it. Great video!
We can’t recommend it enough. Wonderful experience.
Quelle chance, quel courage mais magnifique trek !!!👌👍❤
I am always amazed by your shots and the quality and beauty of your choices. Well done again. G&B must be so lonely in Windhoek.
For the bites look for a muscle rub that has Menthol, the higher the percentage the better it will be. For the existing bites look for after bite or ammonia sticks, it stings a little sometimes but gets rid of the itch. Part of Greenland is part of the North American continent and Alaska has an Island just over the border of the east west line. But for continental North America it is canada. Hope your trip is going well.
I'm not sure which platform Leigh is going to work on, but my dad worked on building the Hibernia GBS for 4 years out of Bull Arm. When they floated it out onto the Grand Banks, the GBS was the heaviest man made object ever moved.
My grandmother was from Holyrood, way back when Newfoundland was still a British Colony.
I'm from South Africa and I noticed the taxi driver had a South African flag on the back of his shirt
That’s the first thing we noticed. We asked him and he is from Eritrea.
Wonderful scenery, lovely track, love the little library, do share the opinion of Stephy that 6 hours' sleep is not at all enough, specially when you hike 30 km a day!
a lovely part of the world
What a great region! But with the Moskitos no way up there for me, i will be eaten to death like Stephy. And for the first time I noticed my name in the patreons list, thank you for mentioning!
Thank you for your support 😊 🙏🏻
Nice, something else, you two.
When I feel like hiking such a long distance, I go and lay on my bed until the feeling goes away...
8.47.....RSA flag on taxi drivers back...???
Enjoy enjoy... 🇿🇦
There is a huge Irish influence in Newfoundland. A lot of people don't realize that Irland is only 1800 miles from Newfoundland. Most natives have a slight Irish "twang" in their voice😊
So is Canada just a quick pit stop for you two, or is the 130 still enroute to you? Can’t remember lol
130 having a rest in Namibia. We will be back there soon.
What do you use to protect yourself from ticks?
Just love to see the South African flag on the shirt of the taxi driver 🇿🇦 I am from Cape Town South Africa 🇿🇦
There is a place called Cabot Circus in Bristol UK , the bloke certainly got about 😂😂
Frank had such a strong Boston or NY accent! Which one was it? Are your shoes waterproof?
That's a Newfie accent.
@@dafirnz thanks!
No point having waterproof shoes. The water goes above ankle. Waterproof shoes take too long to dry.
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland Thanks! Good to know!
A bag of chips for a lollipop ?? Come on mate, What part of Australia 🇦🇺 do you come from ? That’s bush robbery 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Should be a packet of lollipops.. A packet for a packet. One lollipop 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
And you so proudly show everyone 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You made me laugh 😆
Thanks guys great video I’m loving it 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
😂😂😂 On the trail, the trading is though business.
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland I love you both 👍👍
Love your title pic looks like you’ve grafted Steph’s ummmm…….upper body on your head. I’m so conflicted…….😂
Have you edited the thumbnail picture or is that a touch of mastitis there Leigh? 😅
No bears yet
so, what about the tent? Brand, waterproof etc?
We are currently using the Z-Packs 2 person. I think it's called the duo. Waterproof but condensation is an issue with a single walled tent. This is one of the disc sides to going lightweight but we believe it's definitely worth it. The tent weighs approximately 580g.
@@GrizzlyNbearOverland Thanks, got there website. Called the Duplex. Will have look around. Thanks again
Do you ever use mosquito nets?
Sometimes we do wear the head nets
Sad flies we call them in New Zealand. Head starts the unstoppable itch. So ice cubes will help and antihistamine. Most get allergic reaction from the spit.. insect repellent with lots of deed works. Or just cover up.
Thank you for the advice. Wasn’t easy on the track. Oblivious no access to ice cubes. Deet can damage expensive hiking and camping equipment . antihistamine : the good one can make you sleepy. 🤪🤪 So … well…
Have nice treap,Have nice weak end.
Thank eww. Have neice weakstart.
Why did you leave africa so soon?
We will be back 😉 very soon
Pity about the stupid flag on the floppy hat get rid of it
What are you talking about Yosemite is all Granite, hell half the earth is Granite KJH retired Senior Geologist BHP Billiton Petroleum
You didn’t understand what he said, watch it again
I think you might have missed the point on that title mate 😉
I think they meant the farthest east piece of Canada. North American plate goes to Greenland and Alaska has an island just over the east west border for the truly farthest east. The continent even goes all the way to Russia, but for continental north America that place would be farthest east and a tourist attraction. Tourist attractions are not often scientific.
