Almost bought one of these at Walmart in Statesboro,GA. The clerk told me their computer was down so he could not make the sale. The reason for the purchase was to train grandkids to bird hunt. How lucky was I that the computer was down! LOL
Dear sir I just got the 410 and mine ran perfectly with everything I put in it. I called Hatfield for the warranty and the guy I talked to said that your model was an older version they redid everything on the new one that I have and I have no problems just thought I'd let you know and thank you for your videos
Awesome I'm glad yours works. I think they had a lot of problems with a batch of them they got in. I know when I sent mine and they said the owner of the company was in Turkey trying to sort out the problems
They totally redid the receiver and trigger only one pin I say try Walmart again for 410sas if has one pin for the trigger that's the version u will see what I mean about the new version and thank you for your videos. And I am looking forward to see u shoot it on a video and thank you again.
Could be possible I guess. But I really do think there's something wrong with the bolt carrier which is what activates both the shell catch and the shell interrupter. They just seem to be not timing correctly.
After loading all three shells, push the silver button in the front of the trigger (right side) loads the second shell/ghost load, that should make it work semi-auto.
I sent my 410 back and Hatfield sent me a 12 gauge to replace it. It had wrong piston in it, would not cycle high brass shells. Only 3 inch turkey loads
I do like .410s for some reason...probably sentimental, my first gun ever was a single shot .410 when I was 6 years old, I remember my dad had to cock it for me as the hammer was too stiff. Keep us posted Rob.
My first gun was a 410 single shot. so I am very sentimental about 410's and break action guns in general. We are in California and along with many friends I would go quail hunting with a 12 gauge. I slowly started to work down gauge to a 410. (Quail are small birds) . I now hunt and do well with a 410 over/under. There is always a laugh from a new comer seeing the 410 in a grown man's hands.. oh well I shoot enough to keep up.
I've been watching all kinds of Hatfield SAS videos shooting. From what I can see it reminds me a lot of the 1970s Winchester's SAS. Back in the 70s the Winchester would not cycle any type of light load ammo your short brass bird rounds and mid brass rounds for hunting squirrel or rabbit would not recycle it didn't have enough umff to cycle round. Whatever the problem was with the Winchester at that time which if I remember right was a gas ring problem it's probably the same thing wrong with the Hatfield the easy way to fix it is to shoot the high end hot load ammo. At least that's what we did with my dad's Winchester
David I don't know how much of the video you actually watched. But cycling was not so much the issue as it was. After every shot all the rounds in the magazine tube would want to empty out. Thus jamming up the gun. And toward the end of my shooting of the first few rounds I was starting to get a dead trigger. In other words it would shoot one round. Chamber the second round and the trigger would be dead. I think the gun will cycle once these other issues are taken care of. Thanks for watching
