Link between air pollution, increased deaths and increased deaths from heart disease affirmed
    www.sciencedaily.com/releases/...
“In what is believed to be the largest, most detailed study of its kind in the United States, scientists have confirmed that tiny chemical particles in the air we breathe are linked to an overall increase in risk of early death.”
7 million premature deaths annually linked to air pollution
    www.who.int/mediacentre/news/r...
“In new estimates released today, WHO reports that in 2012 around 7 million people died - one in eight of total global deaths - as a result of air pollution exposure. This finding more than doubles previous estimates and confirms that air pollution is now the world’s largest single environmental health risk. Reducing air pollution could save millions of lives.”

actually, Delhi in India has already suppressed china's capital in pollution, in here (delhi) the problem is worse.
50 % children have chronic cough,
thanks to the 60k trucks that enter the capital everynight just using the capital as a bypass to other states. These diesel-run trucks are responsible for 1/3rd that is 60 % of the pollution.

+Xinon Gladio How so? The superbugs have already spread to europe. They can also share their genes with other bacteria thus in the near future infectious disease will once again be lethal.

    • @CutHardstylez

***** why are they spread to europe? how did that happen?

***** That is not an evidence for a strong immune system, but more luck. Sure people who exercise regularly like i do will have stronger immune systems and diet healthy, but it weakens over time and your body can fail at times. It is never a good idea to just ignore an issue because it hasn't been a problem for you yet. The best form of protection is from trying to avoid the harm, not hoping that your immune system alone will be able to fix everything.

    • @lovebirds360
      @lovebirds360 8 років тому +1

Al ‎غوثا BUT the animal agriculture business in America at least has lobbyists everywhere and will do whatever they can to save themselves from losing money. A lot of environmental agencies are sponsored by those industries, and so they don't speak out about those issues because they don't want to lose funding. Kind of messed up, really.

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia has same if not worse air pollution problems as Beijing. It is due to ger district residents burning coal, plastic, and used motor oil dipped tires to stay warm, Ulaanbaatar gets really cold at winters often reaching -30C/-22F.

Here is a possible episode for you peeps. I seen your episodes in the past on too much showering and why we should brush our teeth. How about an episode dealing with homeless awareness and how little of personal hygiene you can get by with and still be healthy. Maybe Trace can do this as a series on his podcast channel thing including reiterating on the showering and brushing teeth. I ask this out of curiosity. When I was in the war in Iraq I went a month with out a shower and aside from the smell I had very little health problems aside from an itchy scalp. That year I think I brushed my teeth almost 4 times and never got a cavity. Now I live homeless by choice living off my military pension because I'd rather not deal with the stresses of modern society. I shower about 2-3 times a week. Usually it is the 3rd day that the itchy scalp sets in though I can stretch it to 5 days. Part of this is I am too lazy to shower. Part is to save water because California is in a drought. And part is to save money because I have to drive to the nearest gym where I have a membership and I'd rather not lost the parking spot or waste the gas. I also have found I can get by with oral hygiene only 2-3 times a month. I wonder if this is genetics or diet. I know I'll probably get a bunch of hate replies or wtf comments. I don't care though. Just know I love all the channels you guys do. You have become my television while I sit and enjoy my day at a starbucks ignoring the leers I get. Thanks for all you do, you really make me feel like there is hope in this life with all the education you people spew forth. May science be with you!

South Korea had its moments and my brother was hospitalized 7 or so times due to asthma problems but when we moved to Hawaii he didn't have these problems, and the only reasons he was hospitalized was due to what my family believes to be a weakened immune system, due to the pollution since he was born in South Korea, he would get a cold and would have Flu symptoms.

Most of the smog in my city is invisible because the more harmful pollutants are usually filtered out. No public transit because the car companies controlling the area won't allow it. I'm doing my best to preserve our planet by boycotting single-use plastics, and bringing my own bags into stores. It's hard, but I want the next generation to have a future.

I have bad lungs AND live in a smoggy city. It makes breathing difficult, not to mention the DISTINCT skunk smell the entire place has. The smog/fog is only really visible when it is humid outside, but those days feels like you are trying to breathe through a wet cloth. That was sprayed by a skunk. Even so, it is nowhere near as bad as most other places. It's only bad here because it is such a small city, in a valley, with an overly large population.

irocktype95 It's not 70 times worse than carbon dioxide. It's at worse, 36 times and is more likely to be estimated at 32 times worse (both over a 100 year period), and even then, it doesn't exist in the atmosphere for a fraction of the time that CO2 exists, since it commonly reacts with hydroxyl radicals within a matter of 10 years after being in the atmosphere.
The issue is that it's a greenhouse gas, not a pollutant. There's a distinct difference, NOx, CO2 and hydrofluorocarbons are carcinogenic, methane isn't.
edit: not all NOx molecules are carcinogenic, but nitrous oxide itself is pretty bad for you if you have a prolonged exposure to it, in small doses it's used to alleviate some pain from some cancers, but it's nothing you want to take for a long time at all.

Chase Evis She (gender assumed) openly admitted to being "queer" or bisexual in one of her vlogs & was terrified doing so. So, I'm calling her out on her insecurity & imploring her courage. Her sexual orientation shouldn't be so crippling. More power to her!

China pollution is already very bad, but it look like nothing when compare to Dec 2015 Indonesia pelt forest fire on 2 islands, Java and another neighbouring island that reach over 1000 PSI. It was caused by slash and burn practices that the oil plam and paper industry do yearly during dry season. If the whole year is dry enough, they will burn the forest all year round. The smoke cause by the fire had covered all Asean countries and reaching as far as Vietnam and Philippines. I think it is a very interesting topic to tell how far reaching the issues can cause to the environment, health and econmony.
