Excellent video! I've always appreciated the implementation of cosmic horrors in Pathfinder as "gods of the past reality with wants and desires completely unrecognisable to us." It's like qlipphoths, representing the kind of ancient, unknowable evil of primordial reality.
Great video! I'm planning to play a magus (with a cleric multiclass) as a follower of Nhimbaloth in my next campaign. My character is particularly interested in creating undead, so it's awesome to learn more about this mysterious goddess. The info about her connection to ghosts and incorporeal undead is especially intriguing. Can't wait to explore the darker aspects of magic and the afterlife through my character's devotion to the Empty Death!
I can explain the cosmic horror. Conan the Barbarian is largely the inspiration behind Gary Gygax D&D. As it happens the setting of Conan the Barbarian, Hyboria, is the creation of Robert E. Howard, a collaborator of infamous pulp horror novelist H.P. Lovecraft. The connection between power fantasy and cosmic horror originates in the friendship between these two writers and their influence on a young Gary Gygax. Hope that helps.
I appreciate the suggestion! It definitely won't be my next video, since I've got my schedule for the rest of the year in process already, but if I think there is enough information it might be a topic next year.
Perfect timing! My players are researching Nhimbaloth in Absalom this Saturday!
Glad it worked out so well!
Yes! First of the Dark Tapestry. Perfect for spooky season. Thanks for doing this.

While I don't typically enjoy cosmic horror, I will admit that Paizo does it well.
My favorite theory about the Dark Tapestry has to be that Desna might very well be one.
I'll admit I'm not super familiar with that theory. I'll need to look into that.

Another awesome video. Hey could you do Ydersius? I’m currently running the Serpents skull
I'll look into it. Not sure how much information is available. If I do choose to cover Ydersius, however, it won't be until next year at the earliest.
@@Podfinder this campaign will last quite a while so that would be unreal
@@Podfinder don’t have to of course just thought I might chuck in this request. Love all of your videos
