I love all the ideas you have for your kitchen. Sometimes it’s best to live in your space and let the house tell you what it needs. I really like the blue in your kitchen and I’m glad you’re keeping it. I also smiled when it was apparent we all follow the same blogs! When I was growing up my mom had a dishwasher….it was me! From the time I was 7 years old, I started drying while my sister washed. When she left for college and I was 10 then I washed and dried until I left home. I love that you are taking us along on the renovations. It’s going to be beautiful!
Thanks so much for watching!! Yes!!! Those girls are the best and so inspiring! Can't wait to start this project and start seeing progress toward the end goal. Have a great day!
I had that thought too. Ultimately I did paint them. And I think they look good matching. But you’re right, with a butcher block counter it would have been okay to keep them. Thanks so much for watching!
The right additions can really pull a space together with minimal changes. When we moved to our current home , a rental, the kitchen had a limited number of cabinets. The finish was good but we needed more storage. Luckily we quickly found a great hutch at a local thrift store. My daughter & I saw it from across the room & it was one of those love at first sight scenes from a movie. It really pulled the space together & I enjoy it every day. Can't wait to see what other great additions you'll make as you make the house your home.
I have a very similar story about the hutch in the dining room!! I love when pieces like that show up 🤍 thanks for watching!! I hope you have a great day!
You have such an elegant style. I think at times all of us can get stuck on looking at what isn’t finished or what doesn’t look how we want it to and we miss the things that do look beautiful. Your kitchen is so pretty already and then when you make the changes you want it is going to be even more beautiful. Thank you for sharing all your ideas/plans. Love your videos 😊
Yess!! I actually recorded 10more minutes talking about all the things I do love about our kitchen right now because you’re right. It’s easy to look at what we don’t have and miss what we do have. I didn’t end up putting it in the video. 20+minute video felt too long haha Thanks for your encouraging words and the reminder to not miss the good there is today. I need that reminder.🤍
Thank you! I originally wanted to change the color, but I'm so glad I lived with it for a while. The blue is beautiful! Have a great week! Thanks for watching!
Your ideas will look wonderful. I wonder if you took one of your drawers to the paint store if they could get a closer match to the paint already used than if they just mixed up their formula.
You’re right. We actually just got the dishwasher in a couple weeks ago, and it won’t go back far enough to do either option 😝 It’ll have to just be a regular dishwasher front until we decide figure out the reason it’s not going back further and change it.
@@desanders12 It's a label that says "sugar" that I spin to the back. I'm so frustrated. One of them came in the original box but I threw it away when I brought it home years ago. I was looking online and these look very similar to mine. amzn.to/3WpYxql
Please don't hide an appliance with a curtain- better to use the base cabinet of the sink without its doors to use as a curtained area. Its more traditional as well.
This has been the exact thought going on in my head!! Haha I thought I’ll do the DIY so that if the dishwasher situation doesn’t work, I can slide it over to the cabinets below the sink. You’re right! It’s such a beautiful look!! My husband would like that better because he’s an engineer and when I do things that are out of balance, one sided, etc. he struggles hahaha thanks so much for watching and sharing! Have a great weekend! 🤍🌱🪿

I love that milk glass pendant. I think it will stand out as one of the best features.
@@debraburgess2764 I completely agree!
I think the wood by the sides of the oven looks great. Follows on from the Benchtop.

SO good to see you! love the blue cabinets and all your ideas! Can't wait to see how it all comes together.

That light is beautiful and perfect for your house. Your kitchen is going to be so pretty, love the shelf on your cabinet. It all sounds so exciting.
Thank you so much!! I’m excited to get started and start seeing it come to life. Have a great day!

It will be so much fun watching it happen!
Thank you! We’re so excited too!
I am loving your ideas!🤍
Thanks so much Sarah!! Excited to get started! 🤍

That’s what I ended up doing and it turned out great! You can check it out on the kitchen update video from last week. Thanks so much for watching!
A matching cabinet door fixed to the front of the dishwasher door would be much better and less controversial than a curtain.

LoVe love love the wainscoting in (I think) the dining room! Did you paint it? If so, would you mind sharing the color, it's fantastic 🎉
Yes! I love it too! I did Revere Pewter lightened 25%.
@@opendoorsopenhearts Thank you for taking the time to reply! 💕
OMGoodness. I love those little lidded pots on your counter. What brand are they? 😍
I thrifted the smaller two. But the large one is from Target. 2-3 years ago. Thanks so much for watching! 🤍🌱🪿
@@opendoorsopenheartsIs there a brand name on the small ones?

I love that light for over your sink! Do you have a link for it, please?
Yes! I just added the link in the description box, but I'll put it here as well. Thanks so much for watching! Have a Great day!

Are you Tidbits and CO’s sister?
No, but I wouldn’t mind! She is such a sweet friend. Love her!! 🤍

I agree, it doesn’t seem super practical. Below the sink makes more sense 😊
