Hello again, friends! Hope you don’t mind a shorter video. Our schedules as of late have been a bit unruly and extra time scarce. Anyway, looking forward to hearing from you and taking you along with us. ❤
Thank you so very much for addressing the seasonal blues. I soooo enjoy the Christmas season and can get t very depressed afterwards. I definitely need my quiver full of ideas and mindsets to choose from! You have helped❤
I put up my X-Mas decor right after Thanksgiving. I took over this tradition during my 5 year stay in the USA and I am still doing it that way in Germany. Putting all the Advent decoration up first and slowly following with the tree, which is an artificial one. I got it a couple of years ago and it looks so real. It is great, just 2 pieces to put together. I have a traditional red, green and golden decor, with lots of primitive art pieces and folk ornaments. 🙂 I keep my Christmas decor until after the 26th of December and then pack it all up again right before New Years Eve. It`s a great time to go through all the stuff, sort it out and repack it to store up in the attic for next season. I love to clean and declutter before the New Year too. For me, starting the 1st of January the colours change, the light changes and I get white and silver vibes with a hint of baby blue. The crispness of those colours go hand in hand with the fresh start of a new year. It is like an emtpy canvas, waiting to be played with. I love it. Huggs from my 121 year old cottage in the Schurwald Forest, Germany. Loooove your videos so much. Thank you 🤍💙

Lovely inspiring video I keep my tree up well into January as I hate that empty feeling when the Christmas decor goes. Good to have your idea of keeping things cosy xxx Happy new year !
Hello, not related to the topic but just wanted to say that I really like your style of clothing and am curious to know where you shop for clothes. Love your filming and creative arts by the way and look forward to your videos every week! Wishing you all the best for the new year ahead. Kim
If you ever have the time I’d love to see more on your crafts like the sheep that you’re making and other fiber work that you do. I’m always looking for things I can do during winter and the extreme heat of summer. Thanks
Just found your channel and I hit that subscribe button so fast! I absolutely love your home and decor. I just bought the Evergreen Fog paint color for my kitchen island, but I haven't started painting yet. I'd love to know the color of your kitchen cabinets if you wouldn't mind sharing it with me.
New subscriber here. When i was younger and my daughter was a baby, we lived in a small 2 bed 1 bath brick house in Missouri. It was only 800 square feet. My family would come stay with us for Christmas from another state. I grew up in a family of 7, and i am the oldest. I didn’t have the room to leave my Christmas tree and decor up past Christmas with everyone sleeping on pallets on the floor and the hide-a-bed sofa, so i had to take everything down Christmas evening to make room. After I moved to a bigger space, i have always left my Christmas decor up until after the New Year! Someone once told me it is bad luck to put them away before the New Year, that leaving up the decor would bring in prosperity for the New Year, and it made sense to me. I don’t know if they were telling me the truth or made it up, but i love seeing in the New Year with my festive Christmas decor! Thank you for sharing, and Happy New Year to your family!
I take the Christmas decor down right away as we have birthday in the family right after. I’ve always wanted the birthday to be a different celebration. However, we keep the actual Christmas tree up until Epiphany.
Hello Ozark Dwellers. I am new to your channel. This is a wonderful video of your home. Your home is warm and inviting, and cozy to boot! I keep my Christmas decorations including the tree until Valentines Day. What local shop were you at with all the pictures and Knick knacks? Thanks for sharing.
Hey there! I just found your channel.....yay! I absolutely LOVE the colors in your kitchen. Do you know the color of your cabinets and the details of your counter tops? We are thinking about a kitchen refresh here. Thanks so much!
We are Anglican so we celebrate Advent in a quieter reflective way and then the 12 days of Christmas more celebratory. Then we take down all the decor on January 6 with Epiphany
Hello, what a lovely home and family you have. I have started rug hooking last year and have been looking for a better alternative to the hoop. Could you tell me what size scroll frame you are using on your sheep project you showed? It looks like it would be just what I am looking for as i do not want the large stand. Thank you!
I've always wanted to make a hook rug. What materials do you use? I loved the rug you showed on this intro. Thank you for helping an old lady figure out what I need to do a project.
Hey Jessie what type of needle punching is the lamb? If it is even needle punching. I have not seen that. Very interested to do myself. I am just getting into more crafts like that and cross stitch. In all learning stages.
New subscriber and I’m here for all of it, short or longer videos. I enjoy your style and the background music. Would you please share the name of the artist singing in the background? Looking forward to your future videos.

@@bluestonecottage hey there! It’s just a rug hooking project. It is made from vintage strips of wool which is pretty neat. I’m planning on hanging it on Iris June’s wall. :)
