Glad UA-cam showed this on my feed. Great wee video bro. I'm gonna head down there for some spearfishing after watching your session there. Cod was a lovely catch by way and pissed myself when the rod snapped. I'll keep my eyes open for your lure lol. ✌
Superb mate, that seal was funny I`v seen it happen a few times over the years, got a inflatable myself, just need a motor to get going, nice fish mate, cheers Scott
Well done on the 'almost' double figure cod! But if you're looking for a transducer mount... Look for the force4 'universal transducer mount'... That what we use. And it's the L bracket we use...
Great video CJ . That’s why we love fishing . You never know what’s going to happen 😂… where’d you get your transom wheels? Looking for a sturdy set that are easily removable. Great cod btw
Thanks! I have beachmaster wheels, can’t remember exactly where I bought them but a lot of places have them online. They’re good wheels but fitting them was a bit tricky, each of the 4 pins have to align exactly with the holes which took a bit of time to get right!
Great day out and I'm well jealous of that cod! I'm thinking of getting a SIB for next year for a similar kind of fishing - do you have a pocket radio or anything for emergencies? Just wondering what's wise to pack.
Thanks! I have vhf radio just in case, the main thing to look out for is the wind and swell forecast, if you get a calm day you should be good. Definitely take your oars and pump out with you just in case. Life jacket and the engine killcord attached should keep you safe.
hey i live not far away from north berwick i have 4hp outboard what do you think is this be enough for sea fishing? my dinghy is about the same size us yours
Hi, if you’re not going out to far 4 is okay, I’ve had paddleboarders go out past me at Craigleith. it doesn’t take much to move a sib so you should move pretty decent with a 4. Only thing is though, when you have a small boat you can only really go out when it’s flat calm. Download an app called Surfline and look for a day that has flat or 0-1 surf and as little swell as you can, as well as light winds forecast. Also make sure you have oars in case your engine dies when your out. Good luck!
Off Craigleith? I’m sure you can but your as well fishing from the boat if so. As for fishing off the main land I’ve only really had success further down at Eyemouth and st. Abbs in summer. Tight lines!
Cracking Cod mate, well done!!
Thanks mate!

Cheers mate, haha I got a proper fright! Just glad I caught it on camera
Been meaning to target this island on the sib for a while now, definitely encouraging. Well done on the pb.
I’ve fished it a few times now and always had fish, a great wee spot. Thanks mate
Massive cod, great fishing. Pescy seals always stealing my mackarel. Great video bro

Well done man,, nice fishing,, that 9 lber looked a bit bashed up did it eat ok , not taking away from the catch 👍🎣
Yep I ate it, was very good! Wish I had my scales with me otherwise I would have been less likely to have kept it
Smashing video, cracking cod. What size is your outboard out of interest? Zips along nicely.
Thanks!! I have a 6hp outboard, it pushes the sib along no problem and gets on the plane easily
I was going to go out there in my fishing kayak you’ve just changed my mind that seal would if capsized me . nice cod
Every chance of it, there’s a lot a seals around there. Cheers!
I was out fishing on my kayak last week and 2 seals were up at me so I was out of there 😂😂

@@CJsReelAdventures Cheers, much appreciated.
Fish finder down, rod down, but one massive cod up!
Haha I’d trade a fish finder and a rod for that cod any day! 😂
